The right what we needed!! :)

We (me, my 2 yo son, my niece and my parents) stayed in the apartment in september 2018 and was left with very good impression. The apartment itself is very big and spacious, there are a lot of rooms and light, it looks very authentic which created a special italian mood :) Equipped with all necessary so we felt ourselves like home. Lots of small shops are very near and the supermarket is 7 min walk. The beach is not far away, you can get there on foot but we used car as the way there is not easy cause of my small kid :)

An amazing apartment with a wonderful, kind host

This was our second stay and we are about to book a third. We had never been back to the same place in the world twice until staying here. Formia is a typical Italian town with so many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. There is a large supermarket less than 10 minutes walk away and local shops to buy fruit and vegetables, bread and delicatessen provisions on the same street as the apartment. Also on that same road is a great pizzeria and a gelateria - both visited too many times for the diet! This visit we took the ferry to Ponza island from Formia port. The island was beautiful. Also recommended are Gaeta and Sperlonga. Regarding the apartment itself, I have never stayed in a better apartment. It is so large and spacious with so much room to spread out and relax. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a large meal for a family and 2 bathrooms is a great bonus. And our host Susi could not have been nicer, from the welcome we received after a long day in Rome to helping us with the return journey and so much more. You are left alone to enjoy your holiday but it is comforting to know there is someone only a message away who will help with whatever you need. I can not recommend the apartment enough. My only concern is that as more and more people experience it then it will become increasingly difficult to book!!

This apartment is massive and beautifully decorated in traditional style and in a fantastic location

The pictures on this website don't do this property enough justice. It is absolutely huge with 3 double bedrooms each with air conditioning and ample storage space. It has 2 big bathrooms, one at each end of the main bedroom corridor. The main lounge/dinner again is huge and tastefully decorated and equipped with large dinning table and chairs and ample comfortable seating in the TV area. There is a lovely balcony off the lounge which overlooks the street and is great for relaxing and people watching. The kitchen is well equipped with appliances and every utensil you need. There is a 2nd small balcony off the kitchen with large built in clothes line. The whole apartment was fresh and beautifully decorated and clean. Susi and Francesca met us at the door to show us around the apartment and help us settle in. They gave us info on the local area and exchanged phone numbers and were always available to give assistance or guidance if required. The apartment is very centrally located in Formia being only 7 mins walk from Train Station/bus terminal. It is only 5mins from the Main High street and Harbour. The 2 main beaches are to either side of the harbour part and are about 30min walk or a short bus ride. Our favourite being the Beach to the East of town towards San Pietro which is protected by rock islands and very safe for small children being shallow, warm and calm. This town is very Italian and popular with Italian Holidaymakers and it helps to have some basic Italian or Goggle translator to get by as English is not widely spoken which we loved and spent many fun filled minutes trying to interpret menus each night to decide what to order. There are lots of small cafes and pizzerias dotted all around town and also a handful of bigger Mediterranean/Italian/Seafood restaurants around and our favourite 3 were Oliva e I'ingenere, Vizi & Virtu and Lancora. The neighbouring town of Gaeta is a 20 min bus ride away and boasts a massive stretch of beautiful sandy beach and well worth a visit. There is a ancient Roman Cistern in the old town and short fascinating tours are offered in the evenings. We stayed for a week and chose Formia because of its central location between Rome and Naples and access to train station which we chose as our primary transport option for day visits to Rome and Pompeii which were both only an hour away, and proved to be amazing educational and fun days out. Overall a fantastic holiday and an amazing apartment with great hosts

Casa vacanze a Formia

Il nostro soggiorno nella casa vacanze di Francesca è stato piacevole, soprattutto per la comodità e la grandezza della casa. La posizione dell'appartamento è abbastanza strategica, per poter vedere ciò che di bello ha da offrire la città e anche per visitare le vicinissime Gaeta e Sperlonga. La proprietaria è stata molto cortese, gentile e disponibile, ci ha spiegato benissimo come muoverci per apprezzare al meglio i dintorni e segnalato i punti di interesse da non perdere.

Spacieux appartement en ville.

L’appartement est grand, propre et ne manque de rien. Il est situé dans le centre de Formia. Il y a une boulangerie, deux épiceries et deux magasins de fruits et légumes à qqes minutes à pied. La plage de Formia est également accessible à pied (+/- 10 minutes). La propriétaire nous avait réservé une place de parking pour le séjour. La communication avec celle-ci était très simple et efficace.

Fabulous home away from home

We had a fantastic family holiday- 3 couples and one baby(16months) great facilities for everyone, comfortable bedrooms and very spacious apartment. Great amenities for cooking and enjoying meals at home. Location was super, well connected to go to other locations for example Gaeta and easily get the train to Naples or Rome and onwards to places like Pompeii. Beach within walking distance and the flat has an umbrella and some kids beach toys for use as well. Lovely hosts, Francesca was so friendly and welcoming - can’t wait to go back.

Wonderful!

The Conte family and the city of Formia were warm and welcoming and absolutely wonderful. The apartment is perfect for larger groups and families. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well equipped and we didn’t want for anything. A dental emergency was easily solved with the utmost care and concern by the dental offices downstairs . Another amazing stay

What can I say, this was my third stay at the apartment and I will be booking again definitely. Hosts are fantastic and are there if you need them but leave you to get on with it. The apartment has everything you would need for a short break or indeed for a far longer stay. It is near 2 major supermarkets. There is a bakery and fresh fruit and vegetable shop on the same street. Also the best geletaria in Formia is on the same street so be prepared for serious temptation! If you want an experience of living like a local in the best apartment I’ve personally stayed in then I recommend you stay here 😊

Spacious apartment--great for a family

We had a fantastic visit to this lovely and spacious apartment in Formia. Francesca was easy to communicate with online. Susi provided us with a warm and friendly welcome to Formia and showed us around the apartment. She also had fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, olive oil and wine waiting for us. Basil is growing on the porch. She had maps available labeled with places to visit, eat, shop, etc.--that was extremely helpful and we appreciated her suggestions and advice. The apartment itself is spacious and clean. We enjoyed all of the space and our two kids enjoyed having their own bedrooms (there are three separate bedrooms--one master suite and two bedrooms, both with double beds and the second bathroom down the hall). There is closet/storage space available in each large bedroom. The two bathrooms are also quite large. The kitchen is well-stocked with various cookware and it's nice to have tea/coffee on either of the two porches and have two different dining tables to choose from. The apartment feels very safe and we also appreciated the AC in the bedrooms and the washing machine. The apartment is just a 5 minute walk from the train station and old town and 15 from the beach. It is right in the center of town so right in the middle of all the shops and restaurants. This is convenient, but also means you have the noise of the city, especially early morning (but our kids slept right through it). It's easy to visit other places from Formia either by train or bus. Susi, thank you for your generous hospitality! We highly recommend this apartment.

Very nice and accomodating

This has to be the most accommodating host ever! We showed up at the train station a week early, my mistake, and called her. Although suprised she picked us up, took our bags and then went on to make up the beds. After settling in and hearing about the area. She left only to return 20 minutes later with fresh mozzarella, bread and beer! The apartment itself is very spacious and pretty much had everything you would need. We were totally off season but managed to take the local buses to places of interest.

Spacious character filled apartment in great loca

Wonderful spacious accomodation that was well equiped for our 6 night stay. Host was very good with communication and generous with her time to ensure we knew how everything worked. Also provided some supplies for a lovely lunch on arrival! Ideally located central to town and train so we could do day trips away easily. We found Formia was beautiful also - so spent a lot of time exploring locally and enjoyed chilling out in the apartment with a wine. Highly recommend this apartment to other travellers. Considered great value for money.

Gorgeous place! Awesome!

I with my family (6 person) spent a nice holidays in Franceska apartment last summer. The flat was awesome. It's beautiful and very big, well furnished and it checks with description entirely. The flat had gorgeous dining room, kitchen had a lot of dishes. Moreover, there is a good location. The apartment was located in the city center, a supermarket was in two steps and we walked to the beach about 10-15 by slow steps and it wasn't far away for us. Besides, the owner was very pleasing women and we are grateful to her for everything. She gave us a lot of useful advices about sights.

A very good apartment in a very nice lokation.

We were in Formia for 14. Days and were twice in Rome, and once in Napoli. All by train, very good connections. The old city of Formia is very charming. As the beaches Are very fine. We used our cars to go to Vesuv and Herculaneum. It was a great trip, Witherspoon a lot of options, because of the central location.

La Casa perfetta per la vacanza al mare

Очень просторная, уютная, стильная, со вкусом обставленная квартира. Три прекрасных спальни, одна гостиная и большой зал с круглым столом и камином, кухня. Для проживания и отдыха есть АБСОЛЮТНО ВСЕ необходимое - даже чайник, микроволновка и фильтр для воды (хотя воду там можно пить и из-под крана). На самом деле чувствуешь себя, как дома. Хозяйка дома Сюзи - замечательная, была всегда на связи, все подсказывала, во всем помогала, заботилась о нас по-настоящему. Квартира находится в центре города, все магазины-рестораны-супермаркет в двух шагах. Бесплатный песчаный пляж в 10 минутах ходьбы. Цена за квартиру очень приемлемая. Мы провели действительно незабываемые 12 дней в Формии. Спасибо, Сюзи! Всем рекомендую данные апартаменты.

Authentiek Italiaans woonhuis

oorspronkelijk woonhuis dat in authentieke staat is achtergelaten door de oorspronkelijke bewoners. Woning heeft weinig comfort, de grote salon oogt meer als een museum. De verhuurders zijn zeer behulpzaam bij eventuele problemen. Huis heeft voor en achter een balkon, en een eigen parkeerplek op een nabij gelegen parking. De ligging is in het centrum van Formia, dus alle voorzieningen en winkels op loopafstand. Mooie steden als Gaeta, Sperlonga en Napels in de directe omgeving.

Zeer ruim appartement en snel bij het station

Zeer plezierig appartement, ruim, lieve en warme ontvangst en betrokkenheid, stationsnabijheid handig om Rome en Napels en omgeving te bezoeken, auto krijgt parkeerplaats in omgeving en hoef je niet te gebruiken want alles is dichtbij. Strand op een 10 minuten lopen. Formia zelf heeft ook veel te bieden aan bezienswaardigheden.

We absolutley loved our stay in Formia! Myself, my husband and our 2 year old daughter stayed here for 2 weeks and we had the most amazing time here! The family looked after us so well and where so friendly and so helpful, we could not fault them at all. I would recommend anyone wanting to go to Formia to stay here, the location is fantastic for local shops, restaraunts and travel. The local people in Formia are so welcoming and friendly. The property was exceptionally clean, fantastic customer service. We loved the local area in particular Sperlonga a great day out. All in all somewhere we will be visiting and staying at more frequently.

Dreamlike!!

Dear Francesa, We want to thank you for the unforgettable week in Formia. The wonderful located and charming city had several amazing beaches to offer. Also, we went to the neighbourhood city Gaeta with it's Carribbean like sand and crystal clear water. A spectacular reward for the 300 steps we had to take before. (L'ultima spiaggia, which was my absolute favorite.) The port with it's different boats and yachts was also worth to see. I personally was quite impressed by the old walls and the tower, which is very historical . You feel the magic of the city's history. The apartment itself was so beautiful. We felt that comfortable that it wasn't easy to leave after the 7 days. All you can imagine was there for us. Even an air conditioning! Cool thing :) The kitchen was fully equipped and because of that we were able to prepare different Italian meals. Altogether it was simply perfect! Most of the time I spend on one of the two balconies and enjoyed the warm temperatures. In the end, we can only say "Grazie Mille". Actually we are thinking about coming back next summer, though the 12 hours driving time.
