Welcome to our Next to Nothing, Close to Everything , Rocky Mountain Guest Cabin in beautiful Evergreen, Colorado! Colorado Dream Vacation!

Relax and take in the amazing view! Take a deep breath, and be glad you're here!! The second you set eyes on the view, you'll be mesmerized by the softly swaying branches on the trees that give way to the magnificent, huge granite outcroppings, snow-capped mountains, and bright blue skies as far as you can see. Rest, relax, and breathe deep, knowing all you need in order to enjoy yourself is the key! You are 5 minutes to town, restaurants, shopping and all kinds of attractions! Not to mention hiking on 1100+ acres directly from the front door! Property sleeps a max of 2 people. This is a guest cabin, not the main house on the property. There is no kitchen, but has a mini fridge and grill on the deck.

This private cozy guest cabin is situated so that one cannot see any other homes from your perch on the deck – but you're still close enough to town (just over 3 miles) to have convenient access to grocery stores, shopping or dining at one of the fabulous nearby restaurants. This unique location allows a blend of solitude and opportunities for socialization, making it the perfect private location for you. The guest cabin is thoughtfully decorated Mountain style, with your comfort in mind! Why come to the Rockies and not have that warm, cozy, rustic(but not overdone) Mountain feel!? You'll find it here!
The guest cabin has an open-loft bedroom upstairs, with a king bed, has an overall airiness, mimicking the breathtaking altitude outside. From the walls to the ceiling to the bathroom, everything is custom. There is no AC in the guest cabin, however there is central heat. The guest cabin is heaven with it's own private hot tub, and you're invited! A car is required as rideshares are few and far between here in the mountains!

Completed Rental Agreement & copy of Drivers license MUST be returned to the email address on the form. Reservation confirmation will not be sent until rental agreement is received. Guest will have to cancel and money will be returned without receipt of the Rental Agreement. WE DO NOT ACCEPT American Express, regardless of options on this website. MAIN HOUSE NOT INCLUDED. Maximum 2 guests for the guest cabin. We will gladly consider reservations less than 3 nights, if only those nights are available. No smoking is allowed anywhere on the property, and NO FIRES anywhere, prohibited by Jefferson County.

The outdoor area surrounding the cabin is every bit as enthralling as the guest cabin.. We sit on 4+ acres and abuts parkland that totals over 1100 acres of gloriously untamed wilderness. One of our favorite things to do is just sit on the deck and relax. It's easy to forget your cares when you feel the pine-scented wind softly ruffling your hair as the sun lazily drifts through the clear, blue sky. The sights and sounds here are second to none, with critters of all shapes, sizes, and colors coming and going as they please. We have elk, deer, chipmunks, fox, and all kinds of birds.

Hot tub aficionados take note: while drinking in your share of the cool mountain air, you may be visited by Fox E. Brown. Our resident friendly fox has kept us company through a few hot tub excursions and beautiful sunsets, grooming himself. Don't worry, he never jumps in!

While most people think of mountain destinations like Evergreen as a seasonal experience, there are so many things to do and places to go within a short distance that Colorado Dream Vacation is truly is a year-round destination. Summer time is a great time for fishing, hiking, bike riding, checking out local festivals and mountain parks. Right around Evergreen, there's canoeing, paddle boats, and tons of walking/hiking trails in Evergreen and the Lake. In the fall, don't miss the Aspens and the leaves turning to the fire neon gold! Absolutely stunning!

There are so many great roads with outstanding scenery to take short trips, up to a full day trip, returning to Colorado Dream Vacation, and the warmth of the hot tub, with the view! Winter, of course, is skiing for your whole family, about an hour away in Breckenridge, A Basin, Keystone or Winter Park. Nearby Echo Mountain caters to snow boarders and tubers!

Evergreen Lake is so close and there's still so much to enjoy there! Ice fishing, ice skating, hockey, along with of course building snowmen, and snow fish, and whatever you can imagine making! Spring brings snow melt, which is a great time for white water rafting! Spring is beautiful with the spring flowers, and the smell of newness in the air! Horseback riding is great fun virtually all year long, and indoor swimming is at Wulf Recreation Center in Evergreen.

Don't forget how close you'll be to downtown Denver too! Professional hockey, football, and baseball are 30-40 minutes away! Red Rocks Amphitheater is about 20 minutes away with a history of world class musicians taking the stage. Don't miss the view of Denver from here, or the museum that in the lower level-it's amazing!

I could go on and on about all the great things there are to see and do in the area, so close to the cabin, yet you'll feel a world away, when you get home from the day's activities, slip into the hot tub, with a beverage of your choice, watching the sun go down! In June 2012 we received the first short-term rental permit issued in Jefferson County. It was a difficult permit to attain, but we managed it, and we work hard to maintain the necessary requirements to keep the permit in effect. To date, there are still only a few legal short-term rentals in all of Jefferson County. We are the only one within 5 minutes of downtown Evergreen and the Lake House! If in doubt, ask for a copy of the permit! Ask us, and ask others! Most others are illegal! Illegal operators can be shut down at any time. Don't risk your valuable vacation, time, and money! Fire safety is paramount in Colorado, especially in the mountains. Therefore, no smoking is permitted anywhere on the property, inside or outside. Period. This is also a requirement from the County. NO FIRES ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY. No exceptions.
