About this property

A 4 * loft in an old mill, overlooking the Charente and its countryside

Located at the entrance of the village on the edge of the Charente, this loft of 150 m² fully equipped and modern comfort has been converted into a former mill overlooking the river in a private domain.

This place located in a unique setting with landscaped garden crossed by the river, is ideal for a stopover or to rest longer enjoying the serenity of the place. You will find all the comfort of a warm home and can enjoy the charm of Charentais landscapes, while being close to local shops.

Located 15 km from Ruffec (TGV station) and 25 km from Angoulême (TGV station)

The property has an entrance, a large living space with a lounge, fireplace, a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen (electric hob, oven, microwave, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator). American, bar), 1 master suite with dressing room, bathroom, toilet, and a twin bedroom, shower, toilet.
Possibility to have a real extra bed 140 in the living room if necessary, for large family or group of friends. We also have a baby umbrella bed, changing table, and high chair.

Summer activities in the village: Canoeing, kayaking, fishing, paddle, hiking, bike rental.

To note:
- We can not accept small children of walking age and under 10 years, because of the dangers associated with the proximity of the river.
- Guests sleeping in 1 room (1 or 2 persons) have access to the entire house, except for the 2nd bedroom. If this one is used during the stay, a supplement will be asked on the basis of the applicable rates according to the number of people having occupied it.

An absolutely beautiful space in an amazingly beautiful setting. The hostess couldn't do enough for us and was helpful and welcoming even when our dog kept stealing her dog's toys. Cannot recommend enough!

Beautiful Location

This property is spacious, cozy and wonderfully located. Mariel is very welcoming and easy to communicate with. The location is close to many lovely areas and locations in this area of France. I highly recommend it.

Romance by the river

Mariel is a wonderful host and is generous. Le Moulin is very comfortable with little extras like nice soap, lovely linen, a little breakfast for your first morning. Mariel enjoyed having my three children to stay. We swam in the river every day and went canoeing, Mariel helped us organise this. I highly recommend Le Moulin.

We stayed here the first two weeks of Feb 2016. Mariel the owner is a fantastic host and nothing is too much trouble for her. The apartment is beautifully presented and fully equipped for all your need: a real home from home in a stunning riverside location, we would certainly recommend this property. Just wish we could add more star rating than this review allows.
