About this property

Veranda 4 Bedroom Unit 1

Veranda 1 is a 4 Bedroom 3 Bath luxury vacation rental located on the main floor of a large home in the center of the village overlooking Mirror Lake. This completely remodeled apartment features a large living room with a faux electronic fireplace. The living room is open to a spacious kitchen and has a large veranda with a spectacular view of the lake and mountains.

The bedrooms ( 3 with one king bed and 1 with two twins) and living area are all located on one level. There is a 50 inch flat screen TV in the living room, the bedrooms do not have a TV .  A/C in bedrooms only.

Guest’s have a short walk to the Main Street and the shops and restaurants, this is a terrific location to enjoy all Lake Placid has to offer.

The Historic Lake Placid Club boasts 45 holes of Championship Golf, extensive mountain biking and cross-country skiing trail systems.

This property is operated by and located next to the Lake Placid Club Grandview Hotel and guests may enjoy our indoor pool, hot tub, tennis court, fitness facilities and seasonal private beach (last weekend in June until Sunday of Labor Day ) on Mirror Lake.

We do allow dogs. Maximum 2 dogs. Pet fee of $150.00 plus tax.

We do not allow parties or events. Noise audible outside the Property (including music or loud conversation) is prohibited between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m.



While we provide an initial supply of toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, and trash bags to get you through the first 24 hours, we recommend you bring the following: toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, napkins, dishwashing liquid, laundry soap, coffee and coffee filters, and anything else you may need for the perfect vacation.

CHECK IN IS 4:00PM and CHECK OUT IS 10:00AM. We will contact you on the day of arrival with the door code as soon as the rental is ready.

Christmas 2022 five night stay for large family

Perfect accommodations for us with five adult sized kids and our dog. Superb location, easy check in and out, enjoyed the fitness center at the crown plaza just steps away. Spotless bathrooms, plenty of room and beautiful views. We would like to return to the same place again someday.

Easter weekend in Lake Placid

Really great rental property with amazing views out over the village of Lake Placid, Mirror Lake and the Adirondacks. Large square footage, very clean and well equipped. The property also has a large attached deck…also with amazing views. Another great bonus is access to the facilities of the Crown Plaza Lake Placid that is literally right across the road.

Large spacious house. Wonderful view of mountains from the deck. Liked white bed linens and towels everywhere. Washer and dryer, hairdryers and tea kettle very useful. Access to hotel pool across the road and to a small beach area on the lake (with kayaks) a bonus. Both these areas had towels provided.

Beautiful Views

Veranda is a two unit property, one level up and one down. We stayed on the down level and suffered somewhat from the randomness of the people staying above us. This converted house is not ready for child(ren) running nonstop on the upper floor. Once that family departed, peace reigned eternal. Great location, very near to Main Street and Olympic sites, though with a heart-challenging hill. Comfortable space but window A/C units struggle to keep up with the humid (not hot) conditions present while we were there. We recommend it while visiting Lake Placid.

Beautiful & Spacious

This is a gorgeous veranda with SO much space! It is HUGE and well-stocked with lots of hotel towels, washcloths & bedding. The kitchen is updated, with granite countertops and a huge fridge. There is a large laundry room with a very nice-quality washer & dryer (not the stackable type that is often found in rental condos). There is a gorgeous porch with an 8-person table, four Adirondack chairs, and a breath-taking view. This veranda is a part of the Crown Plaza property, which allows guests to utilize the hotel's private beach, pool, workout room, etc. The beach has a small dock that the kids can swim to and jump off of. The beach also has kayaks to take out and there is a lifeguard on property. The only negative comment I would make is that there weren't any TV's or alarm-clocks in the bedrooms. There is one TV in the "living room", but that's it. On vacation we usually set the sleep timer on the TV in the bedrooms for our kids to fall asleep. Not a huge deal.

We enjoyed our vacation the house was great huge deck we enjoyed daily. My only suggestion is to provide an outside grill. The town is great and within walking distance. Plenty of restaurants to pick from.

Perfect Family Getaway

I would strongly recommend booking this property! We spent the long Memorial Day weekend here with two kids (6 and 8) and six adults, and had the best time. The property was incredible spacious and clean, and we spent so much time soaking in the views on the veranda. The location is the perfect walking distance to town. We especially enjoyed having the laundry room right on site so we didn’t have to carry our dirty smelly hiking gear back home 😀looking forward to visiting again…thanks, Ray and Laurie!
