Welcome to Beachbreak Bungalow, a hidden gem nestled on a tranquil cul-de-sac, just moments from the pristine Moran Lake Beach and world-famous Pleasure Point. This enchanting 3-bedroom, 1-bath cottage offers the perfect blend of serenity and adventure for your Santa Cruz getaway.

Moran Lake Beach is a short walk down a Eucalyptus lined nature trail, the perfect spot for having a picnic on the beach, a swim in the surf, or a beautiful sunset stroll.

The home has 3 bedrooms and 1 bath, with a queen sized bed in the primary bedroom, a queen in the second bedroom, and a double bed in the third bedroom. The bathroom has a shower with a full bathtub. There is also an outdoor shower with hot water - great for rinsing off after a trip to the beach.

The expansive, beautifully landscaped backyard is wonderful for a relaxing BBQ where you can enjoy the company of family and friends or just relax and listen to the sound of the waves. Sweet cottage

We opted for this sweet cottage because it allowed pups and had minimal stairs - which we needed for my elderly grandfather. It was a cozy place to stay, and the beach nearby was also perfect.

Dog Friendly Cottage in Santa Cruz

This cottage was absolutely wonderful. It is very charming and an easy walk to the beach. It was great to able to bring our Border Collie on our family vacation. Amy was very easy to work and was a terrific hostess. We loved our vacation and would definately come back here. Bob Branson

Perfect escape to the coast

Beach bungalow was everything as advertised on VRBO. Very cozy, comfortable, and felt like home. We didn’t want to leave and plan to return. Thank you to the hosts for sharing their lovely house with others.

Great little beach house

We really enjoyed our stay at the Dog Friendly Cottage near Pleasure Point. We had a lovely time as a family. The house was very clean, the backyard is big and beautiful and the house was very close to the beach! We would be interested in staying again in the future. :)

Sunshine and saltwater therapy

This cottage is a true gem! It is in a great location just north of pleasure point and south of twin lakes. Set in a very quiet location just a few minutes' walk to the beach. The residence is charming and comfortable with a large back yard and deck that is accessible from French doors to the living room - making it perfect for indoor/outdoor living. I stayed in this cottage for a month in the summer and can say with certainty that anyone looking for a quiet get-away in a comfortable home will be very happy.

Fabulous find in pleasure point area

Easy to locate and gain entry. Very clean and nice furniture. Comfortable for our family of six. The beautiful backyard was a bonus especially with kids. The owners communicated promptly on any concern. Can walk to beach and many places. Just perfect! Can’t wait to go back there again!

This house worked very well for us - nice quiet location, clean house, outstanding back yard (which is rare in this area). Had some issues with the heat, but Amy and her husband addressed it right away. Loved building a fire in the fireplace! We would stay here again!

Great Getaway

The cottage provided everything we needed for a short getaway and Amy was a very responsive host. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked and the yard was perfect for our dogs as well as a great place for us to lounge. It was nice to stroll down to the lagoon in the morning. Good walkable local restaurants, coffee and ice cream too! There’s so much to do in Santa Cruz and the cottage was a terrific home base for all of it. Highly recommend!

Girl's Trip ;-)

We decided to take a last minute girl's trip. We wanted a place anywhere near the ocean. This house is located in a very cute neighborhood with a short walk to the beach. You can hear the ocean at night which is my favorite sound to hear. The backyard was perfect for our two pups to run around and lounge in the sun. So many great restaurants, coffee shops and stores near by.

Charming property in great location

Charming well appointed house in great neighborhood with a lovely relaxing backyard. Contact with hosts was minimal, instructive, and very cordial. The only drawback was that the front bedroom (smaller of 3) would be seriously over-heated when the general heat was turned on; I imagine this would not be an issue in warmer weather.

The house is charming and cute. The outside is well landscaped. The dogs loved laying on the grass as we played games sitting on the deck. It had everything we needed for a great week away. Lovely Time

Our whole family had a lovely time at this relaxing beach house, including the dogs. :-) The location was perfect and we really appreciated the new furniture in the living room. The changes made the living room feel much more open and easier to navigate with a small child and two big dogs. A lovely small home with a comfortable backyard protected from the wind when it became windy in the afternoon at the beach. Very close to the Lake Moran Park, which is 1/4 mile from the Lake Moran beach. I had never visited this beach before and found it very comfortable for a 6 and a 9 year-old (although, of course, cold water). The outside shower at the house (with warm water) was perfect for rinsing off and the clothes line was great for drying out swim clothes and towels (although the house has a big washer and dryer). Beds were very comfortable. One small bathroom was fine. Our hosts were easy to communicate with and responded to questions quickly. Two beach chairs and several sun parasols (which we didn't use). I'd suggest bringing a wagon for hauling stuff to the beach. Hope to rent again in the future.

Cozy, clean stay

Overall great lil house. Very clean, very good owner communications, good service, some water and wine in frig upon arrival. Great backyard! "Dog friendly" means dogs welcome, but in the welcome letter, it suggests bringing sheets and blankets to cover furniture so as not to incur additional fees from dog hair. This may be helpful to know in advance. We covered sofa, chair, and the beds, and also brought dog bed, dog carrier just to be safe. Nice laundry room located outside, but not a real functional clothesline for drying out back. Plenty of hooks all over property, both inside and out, to hang stuff. Only one bathroom, which is very tiny. Gauge your travel partners carefully, as this gets pretty cozy with six people! Oven was not easy to use, but stove was gas (worked fine). Windows VERY hard to open and close, but old fashioned locks were charming. Walk to beach down street and sandy waterway was easy, only took less than 10 minutes. Backyard patio huge, landscaped, lovely, patio table good for games and meals. Outdoor light oddly turns on with almost hidden outdoor switch behind a chair. Would stay again with less people (were 6). Great for small family, or a couple, ideally 4 close friends.

Much needed getaway

We were in town celebrating my wife’s birthday and our friends’ wedding. It was the perfect respite and Amy was a excellent host. My wife, my mother-in-law, and myself all felt super safe and comfy. My MIL even said, “that’s the best I’ve slept in months!”

We love the beach and have spent many summers there together as a family over the years. We feel like any trip to Santa Cruz should include our canine companions since they are part of the family.

Nothing compares to the serenity and beauty of the beach, so we do our best to spend as much time there as possible. This gem of a cottage caught our eye when we were dreaming of owning a beach house and fortunately for us, it was meant to be ours. It brings us such joy and pleasure and we are extremely happy to share it with our guests.
