Excellent and comfortable stay. The neighborhood is gorgeous, serene and nearby outpost has delicious coffee and good live music. The host's food and hiking recommendations are really well curated. Would love to stay again
Beautifully decorated and stocked home ready for any adventure. We enjoyed nearby hiking and canoeing, and shopping in downtown brevard. Gorgeous views while sipping coffee in the screened in porch including a small family of deer!
Pros: The home is lovely and the kitchen and bathroom remodels are very nice. It is in a great location with easy access to hiking and downtown Brevard. The screen porch is wonderful to sit on day or night while you soak in the peaceful surroundings. The neighborhood is lush and green and quiet with a few ponds in short walking distance. We enjoyed the pool, the nearby golf course and the recreation area with ping pong and a few other games. Tennis/pickleball courts are also available. Cons: The 3rd bedroom and bathroom are in the lower level which is a damp area. There is a dehumidifier that needs to be emptied daily. The blankets are not washed between guests and the extra blankets in dressers were musty smelling with dog hair. We needed to wash them all before we could even use them. The kitchen has newer pots and pans but baking sheets and baking pans are rusty, along with the cheese grater. There are not many food storage containers and many other kitchen items are old and not appealing to use.We tried to use an air mattress for a child but it deflated a short time later and we were unable to find sheets for it. Hopefully the remote for the fireplace on the porch has new batteries and the squeaking from the A/C unit in the secondary bedroom/bathroom on the main floor has been fixed.
Oh my goodness what a wonderful place! Paula was a perfect host, very quick to respond and in no way obtrusive. The house was wonderful with quality furnishings and beds, NOT the cheap, uncomfortable things many others use. The neighborhood was lovely and safe, and a very convenient base. I am looking forward to visiting again soon!
Location is perfect. Lakefront home near golf course, trails and fishing. Quiet, friendly neighbors and beautiful lush surroundings. Enjoyed our stay and looking forward to our next visit.
Very clean and as represented. Owners very responsive. Having the separate downstairs bedroom and bath makes it good for guests and children. Kitchen well stocked. The lake is very child friendly so this would be a good house for children. Easy 20 minutes drive to Brevard or Hendersonville. We would rent again!
We enjoyed the neighborhood and the lake. The house was well appointed and comfortable. The distance to Brevard made it easy to go into town or out to eat. All in all, a very enjoyable trip.

NYE Getaway
Beautiful place! Loved paddling around the lake. Felt like you were away but was also still not far to get to town and activities.
A quiet soothing retreat after a day of hiking, exploring waterfalls, fly fishing, and enjoying all that Brevard and its environs have to offer. The view of the lake is restful and even sitting in the screened porch on a rainy day is wonderful.

Jim and Gerry, we could not asked for better guests!
Beautiful lakefront property that was so peaceful. It had everything you would need to enjoy and relax. Close enough to downtown brevard to enjoy a dinner in town. Property owners were extremely helpful and provided great suggestions for local things to do.
Beautiful property with plenty of on-site amenities. House had all the comforts of home. I do wish the llamas were caddying while we were there ;) at the golf course but that is out of the property owner’s control.

Cute, well appointed home in Sherwood Forest. Great Lake view and hiking trails. Easy access to Brevard, Dupont, and Pisgah.

Paula was great to answer any questions we had before and during our trip. The setting was beautiful. The house was clean and cozy with a beautiful view of the lake. We all had an amazing trip.

True Retreat
A lovely home overlooking a private lake. A wonderful place to retreat to after a long day of waterfalls and pottery.
Began my mornings with tea on the screen porch and ended the days with a glass of wine in the same spot. A true home away from home.

We hope everyone loves our home as much as we do and all that Brevard offers.
