Thank you so much for sharing! Our greatest reward is hearing from our guest that they had a great time and enjoyed the home. Take care and we hope you will revisit again soon.
We loved this property and will stay here during our next visit to App Ski Mountain. It's a beautiful home and so close to the resort. Everything you need for a wonderful stay is here. Our boys loved having a separate floor to themselves - bedrooms, bathroom, and their own living room / balcony. The game / bumper pool table and all of the board games were a big hit.
When we arrived at the property, we needed assistance from the property manager, and they responded right away.
I would definitely recommend this property to families looking to stay in a beautiful home so close to App Ski Mountain!

Not walkable to slopes but gets the job done
tried to walk to App Ski mountain on a dangerous curvy, two lane road with no path, and cars speeding by. It is next to the ski slopes if you go across someone elses property up a cliff and through woods across the street. Also, very low water pressure for showers. Very clean and comfortable. Good furnishings. Creaky beds. small driveway was a hill and very difficult to navigate and dangerous at the end (dont fall off the cliff) . cannot fit more than two cars safely.
The house inside and out is beautiful. In a great location. Ultra clean! There is terrible water pressure in the showers. You can’t use the sink or flush if someone is taking a shower. A handheld in the shower that lets you adjust water pressure would be great. The beds are loud and sound crunchy every time you move. The deck furniture needs replaced as was mentioned in a review from 2019. The paint on the front porch and both back decks is peeling really bad. Property is advertised as having cable TV and we specifically asked if it had cable TV and not Roku prior to booking. The host confirmed it was paid cable TV as noted in the listing. It doesn’t have cable TV. It’s Peacock via Roku. The listing states you may need to provide your driver license at check in. But after we had booked, we were told we had to email them a picture of me holding my driver license in order to get the door code. We would not do that due to security concerns. This was several calls, texts and emails to get addressed. This requirement needs to be stated clearly in the listing. Regardless of the reason this requirement to send over email was not in the listing. The pictures of the views are not accurate for summer. The trees are grown in so you only get those views from the living room in the summer and it is a beautiful view. The property mgt company is very good to respond. The kitchen is well stocked. No hair dryer is provided. The speaker in the living room doesn’t work.
This home was perfect for our stay. the two bedrooms down stairs was nice to have privacy from the rest of the family and the house itself was very nice. Would highly suggest booking this home!
This is a cute cabin that fit us nicely as a family of 6 adults and 2 small children. Sleeping accommodations were good although the 2 bedrooms downstairs had Queen beds that seemed to be on the small side. Kitchen is well-equipped with nice open floorplan to allow everyone to be together. Views from the living room are beautiful.

Everything was perfect
We had a great time...well-stocked, beds were comfortable, very "cute" according to my wife. My family of 6 (4 kids, 2 adults) had plenty of space and a really good time.

Great stay overall! Location was great and views amazing! Few suggestions to improve guest experience: there was no hairdryer in the bathroom; there was a small stinkbug infestation in the house (we found around 10 of them between kitchen and master suite), hot water ended after two showers and we had to wait around 1h until someone else could shower next... none of these was a serious issue to us, we had a great time!
Excellent location exactly between downtown Boone and Blowing Rock. The house was spotless and well stocked with towels and linens. The beds were comfortable and the views were beautiful. The fireplace was a wonderful feature and really warm. The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, dishes, cooking utensils, etc. Couldn’t have asked for a better trip and home that accommodated 3 adults and 2 children under two.

Appalachian Ski Mountain Chalet
This rental was clean. The beds were comfortable. Excellent condition of furnishings. Only one comment regarding restrooms: I thought there was a bathroom for each of the three bedrooms. However, only one bedroom had an ensuit while the other two bedrooms shared a bathroom. The third bathroom listed was a half bath upstairs off the kitcher. Had that been made clearer in the promotion, I would have been happier. Otherwise we were very happy and would rent again.
The house is smaller than we thought it would be, particularly the living areas, but is enough for a family of 4. It was clean and had good sun-blocking shades in the bedrooms. The view is great, but you will primarily see it from the den because there is no usable yard space on the hill and the seating on the deck is not comfortable. There were plenty of supplies in the kitchen but there is no pantry so you will need to store your food on the counters. The water pressure is not good and the master bath is small, but the closets are large and there is a box fan for some white noise while sleeping. The den is small but the fireplace on a timer is a great feature. The reservation team was great.

Unbeatable Mountaintop View
We've stayed at a number of properties in the High Country area through the years. This property rates near the top during the summer because of: (1) outstanding easterly mountaintop view, (2) well laid out house for a family of four with two teenagers, (3) somewhat secluded location 7 mins to a grocery store, 8 mins to Blowing Rock, 10 mins to Boone, and 4 mins to the Parkway in an area of excellent trails (Nuwati, Boone Scout, Calloway Peak, Green Knob, and Boone Fork), and (4) a diligent and responsive, locally-based management company that clearly understands customer service. We'll stay here again during summers.
This was our family's second stay at this property. The location is great with a great view. Due to COVID we did not want to venture out to eat much so we cooked almost every meal and the kitchen is setup perfectly for that. Lots of pots and pans and other kitchen tools. Beds are comfortable and the place is clean. Can't wait to go back!
Easy check in and check out. Very clean. Great location. The only problem was the A/C was not working properly and we had a very hard time sleeping at night.

We really enjoyed our stay. This rental was modern, clean and very close to the ski resort. We would highly recommend this rental property.
The positives: each room served its basic purpose well, the property was clean, mattresses were comfortable. View was beautiful. Parking was ample but half of it was below the ice patch (see below). Very convenient to the ski resort - 1/4 mile away, but not safely walkable as advertised as there is no shoulder on road. We would stay again but would be prepared for negatives below as well as possible.
The negatives: big safety concern - the drive was covered with 1” thick smooth ice which brought several of us to our knees before getting to the entry (before we attempted the trip with luggage). There was no shovel, ice pick, or salt available and the rental company said they would not salt the driveway due to environmental concerns and told us the weather would be warming in a couple of days. The owners need to pave this small area. Other negatives: there is one thermostat for both levels - downstairs stayed very cold to prevent upstairs from overheating; no ESPN ( or other common cable channels) - we had to use our own laptop and hdmi cable to stream the App State bowl game

Nice stay
Although our stay was short, just three days, it was a very nice place to stay over the New Year holiday. Very clean and met our needs.
Loved the location and the house. My only advice is to provide at least some coffee. You provided coffee pot but not a single grain of coffee. Aside from that, enjoyed our stay.

Lovely, as advertised
Home was lovely and spotless. Beds were comfortable. Conveniently located between Boone and Blowing Rock. Only 5 minutes from a nice public golf course (Boone Golf Club) and there are not many public golf courses in this area.
This place is a gem! Our family had so much fun here. The location is great. Quiet neighborhood with privacy but you knew there were neighbors out there. Place was clean and had lots of kitchen tools for cooking. My 5 year old love waking up in the morning to hear the whistle from Tweetsie and seeing the plume of smoke from train! I hope we can stay hear again!

Enjoyed our stay, but a few tweaks could make it better
We enjoyed our stay at Appalachian ski mountain chalet. The main sitting and dining area was very comfortable. The kitchen was reasonably stocked with utensils and small appliances. The bed in the master bedroom, while kind of creaky, was very comfortable. Overall, with the exception noted below, the property was very clean.
The furniture on the porches… both upstairs and downstairs.... is pitiful. There isn't much to begin with and what is there is not comfortable. Adding more and better porch furniture would have definitely improved my ratings on this rental property. Also, the morning sun makes the porch almost unusable. A drop-down screen or something like that to block the sun in the morning would have been welcomed. Also, the upstairs porch was dirty and needed to be cleaned.
