Woodland retreat/hot tub/Near Yellowstone

Uncle Tom's Cabin is the perfect getaway for either couples or a family (up to 8)! Darling, comfortable cabin located on an acre lot with immediate trail access for ATVs (Trail #626) and snowmobiles (the groomed Shotgun Trail). Cabin is located 30 miles from West Yellowstone Park entrance and is the perfect home-base for enjoying fishing, hiking, boating and kayaking. House amenities include Wi-Fi, outdoor grill, dishwasher, coffee-maker, washer/dryer, smart TV's, DVD players, hot tub and more.

Cabin access is available year-round. County-plowed road in the winter.
ATV trail is #626, and the Shotgun Trail is groomed for snowmobiles.
Kitchen: all appliances, pots, pans and utensils needed to make your meals. Extra seating available with fold down table attached to the counter (+ 4 stools)
Living room: 50" TV, DVD player, rocker-recliner couches, and gas fireplace insert. Small selection of family movies and games available for rainy days.
WiFi access (password provided on-site).
Single bath with shower.
Laundry and utility: Spaces adjoining the cabin house a washer and dryer and provide ample hooks to hang wet items like bathing suits, towels, or snow pants.
Downstairs bedroom: Queen bed, 47" TV, DVD player and storage drawers.
Upstairs loft: 2 full beds and 2 twin beds; 2 of the beds haves storage drawers. Loft also has curtained storage space and changing area.
Hot tub: seats 8, has LED lighting, and is great to relax in after a hard day of fun!
Patio furniture with umbrella seats 8. NOT AVAILABLE IN THE WINTER.
Fire pit and benches provide seating for a lovely evening around the fire.
Fire pit is not AVAILABLE DURING THE WINTER.
Please practice fire safety! Fire-wood NOT provided.
Security camera's located outside. One is facing the west entrance. The second is on by the door facing south.

You have access to the entire house and lot. There will be no other tenants. Entry is a keyless lock, so only a code (provided prior to arrival) is necessary to enter the property. Check-in is 4 PM, check-out is 10:00AM.

Please note that the nearest full service grocery is 30 minutes away in Ashton, Idaho or West Yellowstone, MT. There are groceries closer in the local convenience stores but they are expensive and very limited in selection.

We absolutely loved our stay in Island Park! The cabin was clean, comfortable, peaceful, and the perfect place to come back to after long days exploring Yellowstone and the surrounding area. The location was great! close enough to everything we wanted to see while still feeling tucked away and relaxing.We especially loved the hot tub after full days of hiking and sightseeing! The cabin had everything we needed and truly felt like a home away from home. We explored Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic, Mesa Falls, Harriman State Park, Big Springs, Quake Lake and so much more from here.Island Park ended up being one of our favorite parts of the trip, and this cabin was a big reason why. We made some amazing memories here and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend!

Uncle Toms Cabin is nice but it’s very small. The stairwell to the upstairs is steep and narrow. This made getting luggage up the stairs a bit cumbersome. The downstairs bed is probably a double size bed that I couldn’t sleep in. Being 6’3”, 200 lbs it was too small for 2 people to sleep in comfortably. The pictures make the cabin look bigger than it is. The property is a bit overgrown and we encountered several snakes of the non-venomous variety. The cookware is old and the frying pans were pretty much unusable. The location is convenient, the cabin itself is clean and well maintained.

So sorry you didn't get the sleep you needed in our accurately listed queen bed. Our cabin borders a national forest. So our native grasses and flowers aren't mowed every week. Plus I am glad you got to see creatures that live in the forest. Uncle Tom's is listed at 960 square feet. Our small cabin allows families to come together not grow apart. We are proud of our cabin and the enjoyment it brings us and most of our guests.

Excellent, cozy cabin in a great location!

We adored our time at Uncle Tom’s Cabin! The cabin is well maintained and so clean and well stocked. We loved using the hot tub while star gazing! The location is perfect - close to so many wonderful things but still private. The beds were comfy! This cabin is charming and we hope to stay again!

Great place to stay!

This was a cozy cabin, and only 34 minutes from the West Entrance of Yellowstone! A moose came by the house both nights that we were there! I recommend staying here if you’re headed out to see Yellowstone. All the directions for cleaning up were very clear. Lovely stay.

Anniversary Trip

My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was exactly as advertised and well appointed. We really appreciated the extra detail given to labeling all switches and heater controls. We will definitely book again. This cabin has immediate access to the local offroad trails.

5 year Wedding Anniversary

This little Cabin was the perfect get away for our anniversary. We wanted somewhere nice and quiet where we could just relax together. This cabin was just that! The hot tub was so nice to just relax in during the day it at night. I definitely will plan on staying there in the future!

Perfect for us

We had a wonderful time at Uncle Tom’s Cabin. We have been coming to Island Park for almost 5 years now staying at various rental properties. Uncle Tom’s Cabin was definitely our favorite so far. It was a wonderful stay for me and my girlfriend, and the perfect sized cabin and property. The hot tub was awesome and very well maintained.
