Charming cottage, great property in a rural setting, wonderful view, comfortable living room and dining area, stocked and nice kitchen. We really enjoyed our visit. So quiet and relaxing. The owners quickly addressed the dogs barking that they keep with the other animals. We loved the donkey amd horses.
This property was perfect for us, the bunk house was clean and the kids loved playing and watching the animals on the farm and relaxing. There was ample parking space for all our truck and trailer. A well needed relaxing night, would definitely stay again next time we are in Colorado.
This place was just what we were looking for our grand-daughter's wedding that was just a short 15 min drive up the road. It had everything we needed for our 4 day stay and the scenery was beautiful. Very comfortable beds, open concept living/kitchen area. Separate shower and bathroom area which made it great for 4 people getting ready. Check in was a breeze, everything worked so we didn't have to communicate with the owners at all. Loved it! highly recommend.
Seriously the cutest little place! We enjoyed everything about it. Yard games were perfect for two teens and our dogs really enjoyed the leg room. Would highly recommend this one!
It was another amazing weekend in a charming cabin. We have stayed twice in this cabin, and we are already looking forward to a relaxing spring getaway to this place. I highly recommend choosing this as your next getaway spot!!
Peaceful Retreat during Equine Educational Coursework
We throughly enjoyed our stay. The environments inside and out were most fitting for the quiet time required between our onsite course sessions. Susan was responsive and kind. The space was absolutely lovely. Thank you and God Bless.
We enjoyed our stay in this cute cabin along the way on our family summer road trip. Quite and beautiful scenery and who doesn’t love to be greeted by the horses and donkeys 😊
If you have any fantasies of owning a horse ranch, you must stay at this property for all of the fantasy and none of the work. This property is beautiful and peaceful, a little oasis where you still have everything you need. Highly recommend!
Such amazing place to spend time! Absolutely stunning cabin with all the amenities! Small store with gas, a restaurant 5 miles away, easy more could you ask for!! My dogs & I love it, and we’ll be back!
Absolute heaven!! A gorgeous cabin, the landscape is beautiful, the alpacas curious, the donkey Ontario’s & of course the horses are stunning! The sky at night is k credible, what a wonderful out of the way, but not too far little piece of heaven!
We were all going in different directions during our stay, so this was a beautiful home base for my family. The property is peaceful and quiet. The animals were amazing to look at and watch… donkeys, horses, kitties, deer, ravens… amazing! The bunkhouse had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, bathroom situation worked well for four adults and kitchen nicely appointed. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.
Everything from the drive in and out through the visit to the accommodations were just impeccable. The casita was very clean and had absolutely Everything you might need, the public area of the property was expansive. We didn’t even see the owners except from a friendly waving distance but had the distinct impression they were available if we were in need of them for anything to enhance our stay. One piece of advice to future guests, do Not look at the map and think you can “run back out for groceries after you drop your things”, lol. We were Saved by a Red Baron pizza in the freezer (Thank You!) after a sunset arrival.
I can't say enough good things about this adorable bunk house & ranch! Everything was thought of and graciously provided. The acommodations were clean, comfortable and just as shown on the listing. BUT that's not what makes Still Water Ranch so fabulous... it's the serene and peaceful feeling you get when you're there! It is quiet, calm and an tranquil. Also, the animals were so much fun - Burrito the sweet donkey was my favorite (the alpacas, horses, other donkeys and cats were all an absolute treat too)! The view of Pikes Peak was beautiful, the stars at night were lovely and the property was the ideal place to relax. We just appreciated everything from coffee on the patio, watching birds from the hammock and even playing tether ball! It's not around the corner from too much - but there is a great little restaurant in Elbert that we enjoyed! Being away from it all is part of this ranch's charm though! It's still close enough to take trips into CO Springs or the surrounding area for sightseeing & events. I would recommend this in a heartbeat and hope to return on our next trip to CO! Deuteronomy 28:6 for sure! THANK YOU!
This house was great for our trip! We came to Colorado Springs for my now fiancé‘s 30th birthday and we wanted something private. This house was just that. It was off the beaten path and on its own private horse ranch. We heard a bunch of animals every morning and had beautiful views of the mountains. If you’re looking for somewhere secluded and out of town with views, this is where you should stay!
Our family with 2 young kids had such a great time at this ranch. Our 6-year-old daughter was in heaven exploring, running around, and seeing all the animals. It was a peaceful environment to get away from city life and enjoy being out in nature together. Thanks for a great stay!
If you're looking for seclusion-this is it. A good thing to know is you'll travel several miles on dirt roads to get there. We stayed for a weekend to attend a wedding. The place was cozy/charming and there were great snacks & a lot of toiletries provided (we didn't need them though). Drawbacks-the sofa bed was very uncomfortable, communication wasn't good & owner took a day or 2 to get back to us; we never could get any internet using 3 different phones and 2 laptops per the instructions in their book.
Brought my wife and daughter to Colorado for a funeral. At the last minute my aunt needed a ride, so we brought her with us. The house was beautifully decorated very nice setting. Located in the woods East of Colorado Springs. I would recommend the accommodations to anyone with a small family. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
My husband and I, and our two kids ages 8 and 6 stayed here for three nights. The bunk house was gorgeous, so cozy and comfy, and the owner goes above and beyond with accommodations and providing everything you’d need for your stay. Super simple process on arrival.
The location is on a farm and my kids were so excited to see the animals.
We are from Pennsylvania and we are no strangers to snow, however the short time we were in Colorado to enjoy the outdoors got derailed because we got snow dumped on us (2+ feet) so we didn’t really get to enjoy much of what Colorado and this bunk house had to offer, but thankfully the inside was so comfortable and cozy; we didn’t mind. Grateful there were board games for us to play while we were snowed in. We had to eventually venture out to get food and whatnot and unfortunately none of the country roads were plowed and we did get stuck not even a half mile away from the house… thankfully a very kind stranger pulled us out on his tractor and made tracks for us to get to a main road, due to the circumstances we ended up not coming back for our last night in fear of missing our flight the next morning.
We really wish we could have spent more time here and took advantage of everything it had to offer! Hopefully we will be back one day.
My advice: definitely stay here; but also definitely be prepared for your duration of stay with anything you may need if you’re coming in potentially snow storm months!
Thank you for having us!
