About this property
Beautiful Narnia on Pikes Peak - Your adventure begins here!
No need to journey through the wardrobe to find this magical destination! Start right at the lamp post and walk directly into this 1929 original Green Mountain Falls, CO vacation cabin, elevation 7800 feet! Enjoy the fresh mountain air from the front deck tucked back from the road and amidst the pines and aspen trees. Narnia Cabin is right on the road that leads directly up to the waterfalls or if you want -- keep hiking right up to Pikes Peak! For those who simply want to enjoy a lazy day, you can sit back and relax on the front deck rocking chairs and enjoy an unimpeded view of nature at its finest!
You are within minutes of Pikes Peak Highway, the North Pole Theme Park or continue east down Ute Pass to Manitou Springs, Colorado Springs, and the Garden of the Gods. To the West, you are minutes away from Woodland Park, Mueller State Park, 11 Mile State Park, or head west to visit the historic gold mining towns of Victor and Cripple Creek!
Narnia on Pikes Peak has been designed to be a creative artist’s paradise from the moment you walk in the front door to the glassed-in front porch, complete with its’ own pellet stove, futon, game or crafter’s table and chairs. Here you will find a collection of outdoor games to enjoy in the yard — an additional full lot that extends to the west of the cabin.
Step through the original interior door into the living room where you are greeted by the beautiful stone fireplace (updated with a gas insert) and a comfy leather couch to sink into. All of the woodwork dates back from the cabin’s 1929 beginnings. Coffee table books give you a look into the region and the world of C. S. Lewis. Yes, The Chronicles of Narnia are there, too!
(Pssst. You will find year round decorations as Christmas has come to Narnia. Look about for not-so-hidden references to the Chronicles)
The master bedroom (downstairs) features a queen sized Casper™ Mattress, 600 count Egyptian cotton sheets, and a comfy duvet. There is a vintage bathroom across the hall — with the restored original clawfoot tub (complete with rubber duck) and a refinished vintage sink. Don’t fear — the commode is new!
The upstairs attic bedroom/study is just like an adventure into yesteryear with creaky bookend steps included! Situated in the tree tops and lit by a skylight, this is a space with coves — one that holds a full-sized Casper™ Mattress, also covered in fine cotton sheets (or flannels if you wish) and a comfy duvet; another cove houses a real library desk for the writer; another cove holds two comfy chairs where you can enjoy a cuppa, and the 4th cove has a small dresser and the all important tea tray.
The newly remodeled kitchen is well stocked to appeal to all varieties of cooks — complete with full-sized refrigerator, electric oven, toaster oven, microwave, coffee pot, and electric tea pot. Tea and coffee always provided.
A new gas fireplace sits table side to keep everyone warm and cosy.
The back bathroom is in a small rebuilt addition where you can find the oversized shower, washer and dryer, and a cabinet filled with extra large Turkish bath towels!
The stone patio at the rear of the cabin has a gas grill and a fire pit we hope you will enjoy for those family gathering times.
The owners are affiliated with the C. S. Lewis Foundation and as such, have filled the upstairs shelves with a wide variety of books — Lewis, Tolkien, as well as a wide variety of current literature.
Although Lewis himself was not a fan of television, we provided and TV and DVD player for watching movies at the end of a long day. We have a small collection of classics and family friendly videos. We have provided an HDMI cable to connect your portable devices should would wish to bring them. There is high speed internet — so bring your iPad and enjoy.
It is our hope that you will be inspired by your time at Narnia on Pikes Peak to connect, create, and converse with the beauty that surrounds us!

Why they chose this property
The peace and solitude of the mountains have sparked the creative spirit for so many. It was always a dream of both Hillevi and Derry to find a place for the heart of imagination to bloom. Armed with childhood memories of cabins, camping, and the mountains, they sought to find an older log vacation cabin and bring it back to life. With their love for C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien (their home in Divide is called Middle Earth) they found Narnia on Pikes Peak to be just that magical cosy cabin with its beautiful property, creaky stairs up to the attic, warm original wood walls and the unmatched original stone fireplace. They hope it will be a special place for writers, musicians, visual, and the wide variety of creative artists to relax, rejuvenate and let their imaginations loose.
