This place was awesome. Definitely off the beaten path. Super clean, super comfortable! Deer in the back yard when we arrived to greet us. Quiet and relaxing - just what we needed!
This house is one of several in a row against the mountains. The drive to it requires a trusty car and good GPS. The interior of the house was clean, the beds were okay, it was comfortable. Each room is heat controlled which was nice. The upstairs was super warm because heat rises. The owners could be reached by phone.
The cabin was beautiful and clean. It had everything we needed to stay and to cook meals. My family enjoyed watching the friendly deer that come right up to you. We also enjoyed quiet evenings on the deck. The only issues we had were the road to get there, and the altitude.
I booked this to be close to other family members who were doing repairs on our vacation home near there. It was very nice and clean and had everything you needed. It seemed to be fairly new. Loved the secluded location! There were some homes nearby but hidden from the views out the windows. Beautiful large floor to ceiling windows in the from with a nice deck that was lit up with string lights. I would definitely stay again!
We loved our stay here. Beautiful and house was wonderful. Road to cabin was a dirt road and very steep. Had to unload half our covered trailer so the load wasn’t so heavy on the way out. Afraid my Buick enclave would have problems with the full load. Left the trailer at the main road and then went back down to get the rest of our things. We had a lot. Had been camping in Yellowstone the prior week. A truck would have pulled it out with no problem.
We are a small family of 3. This is a cute home base while exploring the area. It is off a main road down a 2 mile bumpy dirt road. A small SUV or bigger is best! Upon arrival the cabin was clean in all areas except the main level bathroom. There are 2 bedrooms - one in a basement and one in a loft. The basement stayed cool but the loft is hot - even on cool days. We ended up buying a box fan just to have some cool air, as no fans are provided except felling fans. We did run in to several little issues however the management company was very quick to solve and respond! We had a gas grill and full kitchen which was great. The downstairs area lacks hangers to hang clothes but has a dresser and the loft sleeping area lacks dresser and hangers but has ample closet storage. The fireplace is tricky to use but we didn’t need itThe deer and wildlife in the area are so fun to watch There is WiFi and a TV in each room , however you are on the mountains so the service can be spotty. There are no Mountain View’s except when driving the roads to the cabin. Your views will be of hills, trees and neighbors yard. This is not a secluded as you might expect. You will see the neighbors from all outdoor areas. We would describe this cabin as a high end camp cabin. It was cute and well equipped for “glamorous camping” But remember it is a cabin in the woods.
My family and I wanted a vacation in the mountains and Demi’s cabin was perfect! The evening we arrived we were greeted by deer!
The cabin is beautiful. Demi has the cabin well stocked! Plenty of towels and washcloths. Brand new dishes and pots! The kids enjoyed being able to watch Netflix! She has puzzles and board games available for use.
There are 3 decks you can use to enjoy. In the morning I enjoyed seeing the birds flying through the trees and visiting the neighbors bird feeder. In the evening we enjoyed using the gas fireplace and seeing from the large windows the moonlight through the trees.
The weather was perfect each day of our stay. We visited the Cliff Dwellings, the Dinosaur Resource Center, the Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, and the North Pole!
Demi, thank you so much for having your beautiful cabin available for us to use! We definitely would go back to Woodland Park to visit!
The location and coziness of this cabin were top notch! I am terribly picky about cleanliness, and this cabin surpassed my expectations. I will note for future renters: don’t run the dishwasher at night. The mechanics for the water are downstairs and rather loud! Only made the mistake once, otherwise the cabin was excellent. There was a bear in the neighbor’s trash one night, which gave us some bonus excitement. Thank you!
The place was clean everything worked as it should.we saw lots of wildlife which was really cool. We were on motorcycles and the road to the house was definitely doable even when it was raining. Overall a good place to stay
The house was beautiful, clean, and new. Every amenity that you would want in a home away from home. I am a germophobe and super picky about cleanliness, and this house left me zero concerns. The location was close to everything we wanted, but far enough to feel more secluded. We were lucky enough to spot a bear in the backyard one evening, I’m not sure the neighbors were as excited as we were about it. Would definitely stay here again!
Perfect location for a quiet and relaxing break. The property has all of the comforts of home but with a beautiful view with multiple patios and an abundance of wildlife roaming around the property.
We had the best time, the place is super clean and cozy. We saw a lot of deers and foxes. We will definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice place away from the city!
Beautiful, clean, comfortable cabin. All the furnishings and amenities you could hope for.
Outdoor deck for morning coffee or afternoon/evening cocktail was wonderful. Perfect set up for either couples tracking together or families
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It's very clean, nicely decorated and has comfortable beds. The kitchen and bathrooms are modern and well-stocked. It's in a "neighborhood" of widely spaced homes along dirt roads. You can see 3 other houses from the driveway side of the cabin but you don't see them when you are looking out the very large windows in the living room. From the 2 balconies there are views into the forest and you'll regularly see mule deer and turkeys. There are no mountain views from the house. It was quiet and peaceful during our whole 10 day stay. My recommendations for improvements are: Insulate the lower-level master bedroom from the sound of the water pump. It can get noisy down there when the pump is running. Also install a rack and hangers in the lower-level master bedroom so that we can hang our clothes (there's a dresser but no closet down there). In the upper-level loft bedroom there's a large closet but that bedroom needs a dresser. There's no washer and dryer at the house but Woodland Park has several good laundromats. There's a lot to do in the area and the cabin's location is in the middle of great places to visit towards the east (Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, Cheyenne Mt. St. Park, Dinosaur Museum in Woodland Park) and other places towards the west and south (Florissant Fossil Beds, Colorado Wolf Sanctuary, Mueller State Park, Royal Gorge, Eleven Mile St. Park, Buena Vista hot springs). Overall, a great visit.
