Rockport heaven

Gorgeous ocean views, plenty of space (3 bedrooms, ideally separated), quarry access for swimming and reading a good book - loved it and will always love Rockport. Thank you, Sue!

Vacation in Rockport

Our family had a wonderful stay at this property. Host was available at check in and took a lot of time to go through everything and show us around. The space was large enough for our family of 6. It was very close to town as well as the state park. A fantastic roof top deck with views of the ocean.

Welcoming

We really enjoyed the location, view from and layout of the property. It was hot upon arrival and the AC didn’t reach the room with twins, but after a day it cooled it off enough my daughter and her friend were comfortable. The view from the rooftop was beautiful and the owner met us to walk us through the house before she departed the property. The access to the quarry was a nice addition. We enjoyed it. Being able to take our pets was amazing and it was a clean property for allowing pet access. Happy with our decision to stay here! We would go there again.

Slice of Heaven

Our stay was absolutely incredible. Sue was wonderful to coordinate with and is friendly and accommodating. The house is exactly as pictured with wonderful views of the Atlantic. There was enough room for us all to be comfortable and every evening was spent on the roof deck. The quarry was unreal! Clear water, jumping off points, (which Sue knew all the names of), and fun for the entire family. We’ll never forget the memories we made there. The town of Rockport was also beautiful and full of fun things to do. We were never bored, ate great food and truly hope to visit again as soon as possible. Great stay all around!

Our family has lived on Pigeon Hill in Rockport since the 1930s and we take great pride in sharing this gem of a place with you. June & Sue are mother & daughter and June lives on the first floor of 10 Landmark Lane. June's grandson lives nearby and takes care of landscaping. The apartment has always been an integral part of the family home. Now June has downsized to first floor living and reserves the recently renovated 2nd floor apartment for guests. We look forward to offering this home away from home where you can create a memorable family vacation.

Why they chose this property

This property is perfectly situated and central to so many vacation activities, no matter what direction you choose to go. But at the end of the day, when you're ready to just relax in a quiet place, you'll retreat to this private abode. It is truly peaceful here on the hill. After color-filled sunsets in the western sky, to the east it's darker and stars shine brighter with just open ocean and lights across the bay. And then each next day you may wake to the most amazing sunrise or mist on the water, or a sky show of clouds like you've never seen. There is a certain slant of light on this part of the coast that has drawn artists here for hundreds of years. It is magical and glorious!

What makes this property unique

A large, spring-fed, deep water granite quarry surrounded by woods is part of our family's heritage. We are part of a shareholder-owned association that manages the property. It is a 7-minute drive away. We are able to invite a limited number of guests to enjoy this special place and we'll provide passes for guests who rent from us. The quarry has a shallow area for parents with babies and new swimmers; many ledges for kids and adults to safely jump off, a floating telephone pole log for constant entertainment, and wonderful long-distance swimming opportunities.
