Nags Head Vacation

Perfect location, steps from the beach, clean, well stocked, great for 6-8 guests/family. Beautiful deck views including sunsets, deck boards recently replaced. Our experience was with 3 couples, Very nice to have bathrooms for each couple. Dryer may need to be updated.

Hoping for more bang for the buck

My wife and I have rented for quite some time. Most owners have essentials to start with. Going through the rental company instead of vrbo/owner was more expensive. There was nothing in this house except one towel , one washcloth, and hand towel, bed linens. No hair dryer, soap, dish cleaning. Nothing. If you fly, be prepared to buy everything! My husband went to the store on day of checkout, arrived to find cleaning guy about to enter the house with me in it at 8:30 am, check out is at 10:00. Things would not have gone well for him had he entered. The stay itself was nice, certainly a lot to do and see.

So close to the beach!!

This house is so close to the beach. It makes it really easy to take little ones back for lunch and bathrooms breaks and not having to pack EVERYTHING to take down. I would definitely stay here again.

Positives: excellent location, quite private street, amazingly close to beach, rental company responds quickly and addressed any issue Negatives: old dried food on the outside deck covered area on 2nd floor Dishes could have been cleaner I contacted Rental company About beach chairs they recommend company to rent from House basement room had tons of these

Maintenance issues

The property is fine, the location is great. The ice-maker did not work and leaked water on the floor that we had to clean up daily. The washing machine didn't work either, we discovered the last day. When we called to report the ice-maker issue, on arrival, it was evidently not conveyed to the repairperson. When the repairman finally showed up, three days later, he said he didn't have the necessary parts to fix the problem. As for the washer, when we reported it, after the fact, the property manager insisted that it worked fine. (It may be that the water was turned off at a valve we didn't have access to, but it most certainly did not work.) So check all the appliances when you arrive and don't count on the property management company to fix things if there is a problem.
