About this property
Traverse City Centennial Farm Estate
Centennial Farm property, historic barn spaces and 24 acres to roam while close to all Traverse City amenities. The house has authentic charm to spare. This humble layout with its original decor is sure to impress. Peaceful setting with room to be yourself. Wonder the acres, have a bonfire, and admire the rolling meadows. Sleeping Bear National Lake Shore and majestic Lake Michigan beaches are out your back door. The house was built in 1914 and its original interior has been preserved. Decadent oak woodwork throughout adds richness to the layout. The built-in hutch and mirrored bar in the dinning room are especially handy. The living room has its own details with hand carved pillars and glassed bookcases. Original wood floors are softened with rugs that really bring these rooms together. The bathroom boasts 1930's tub over shower and sink. Large school house windows provide wonderful height & light. One bedroom is downstairs off the living room. The upstairs consists of a landing & bedroom. The true highlight of our property is the outdoor space. Lots of room to explore and stretch out.
Please take note, our farm does not have wifi. Unplug and enjoy!

Thanks again for another spectacular stay at what my friends loving refer to as “the Barn”. The house was great, but the property as a whole is just magical. Thanks for having us.Best,Matt
Location was perfect for a day up the West Bay and seeing all the sights downtown for the weekend. Property was clean and suited our family perfectly. The outdoor amenities on the property were fun for all ages. Overall great experience! We would book again when back in TC!
We enjoyed our stay at the farm! The house is exactly as it looks online, so if you enjoy this kind of atmosphere, you won't be disappointed. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen is stocked with almost everything you'll need. The barn was where we spent most of our time, though. It's a great place for hanging out, especially with the fridge, grill, cornhole boards, driving range, and fire pit right outside. With so much in such a short drive, it was the perfect place to base-camp out of for our visit to TC.
Party of four adults. Wonderful setting close to TC like 10 minutes. Didn’t miss Wi-Fi at all. Played games, ate breakfast every morning there and went out to explore during the days. Comfortable beds. Made it work with one bathroom. No different really than 4 to a room in a hotel for that.
Would recommend and stay there again.
Holy cow, this place was absolutely amazing! The home has character and charm. Comfort everywhere you look! Perfect for couples or bigger groups! It slept out 7 perfectly! The barn was a pleasant and fun surprise, we explored and enjoyed it. Not to mention there’s a driving range!!! Wow did we have fun with that!! Every time we went to collect our drives we found more and more golf balls scattered throughout, it was endless fun! Thank you so much for having such a warm and inviting place, we have favorited it and will for sure return in the future!
We had a great time here. Very unique property with the old barn and huge land area. Kids enjoyed the golf hole that host made and the yard games provided. 10 minutes or less to downtown TC. Lots of space for the kids to run around and play/explore. Host was very responsive and helpful when I asked for a recommendation regarding an activity. We would stay here again.
The only comment I would leave for future travelers is that because this is an old farm house, it has some bugs. They don't seal the way modern constructs do. Linens and house are all clean, host did a great job with that. This isn't an issue with the host not cleaning, it's just the way the house is built. The bugs didn't really bother us. We ignored them, and they ignored us (no bites, roaches, or anything unsanitary). But if you can't stand bugs, you might want to look elsewhere if traveling in the summer months.
Everything about the listing for this property is spot on. The location was great. Close to traverse city, but in a nice country setting. It was clean and provided everything you need and nothing you don’t.
In light of vacationing during Covid-19, cleanliness and sanitation is of upmost importance to me and my family, and this house was most assuredly clean and sanitised! The location was key for me to be able to pop to Traverse City for a dinner, groceries or an activity. This stay helped to redeem our 2020 summer vacation!
