We traveled from Minnesota to attend our son's wedding. We brought family and friends and everyone had their own space. Sitting around the firepit and enjoying the beautiful view of the river was a favorite activity. The beds were very comfortable. It is a great place for a big family to get together and relax.
What a beautiful place for our family to gather for a long-awaited reunion. Everything was on point, and the Pierce family was ever responsive and flexible. Very grateful!
We were in Juneau to visit our family. Our grandson is a fishing guide in Juneau and took us fishing on his days off! The house was perfect! Quiet and comfortable! We will try and stay again next time. Thank you!
We enjoyed this lovely home immensely. There were eight adults (3 generations) and we spent a good deal of time in the home. The house was well appointed, beds were comfortable, the house was clean. There was plenty of space for everyone. We ate half of our meals at “home” which made for a relaxing, inexpensive visit. We all departed saying we hope to return next year. Thank you for sharing your home.
We stayed here for our annual July 4th trip this year, and we were less than 15 minutes from great hiking, sea kayaking, and fishing. This house is away from the busyness of the cruise ships which was very nice. House was very clean, and it was a quiet, pretty neighborhood.
The house can sleep 12 comfortably if everyone is fine sharing a bed, although the living room does not have seating room for that many. House comes with basics but you may need to restock if staying with a large group for more than 3-4 days. No blackout curtains so definitely don’t forget your sleep mask!
This home is just as described and pictured on VRBO. It is made even better by a wonderful host.
This was home base for our family Alaskan vacation. The common areas are big enough for family time together and the bedrooms and baths are spacious and comfortable. The scenery just looking out the window or walking out the door is amazing. We particularly enjoyed gathering around the large dining table and around the firepit to relive the days adventures.
Leading up to our trip, I had several questions/requests for our hosts. They were quick to respond and went over and above to help us. They shared thier beautiful home and hospitality with us. We had the perfect Alaskan vacation with this property as home base. I highly recommended.

We travel with our friends to Juneau every summer and have stayed in rentals way nicer for a lot cheaper. The house accommodated our large group nicely and was clean. However, the property was not maintained and the house seemed a little tired from over use. There were basic supplies like trash bags, kitchen towels and extra toilet paper missing. The listing checked hot tub under amenities but we never found it. Overall it served its purpose for a centrally located house in a good neighborhood.
On the whole the accommodations were good and management was quick to respond to a tripped circuit. There were a few things that would be an improvement. Specifically, in a three bath/four bedroom home more than one hairdryer would have been appreciated. Additionally, bathmaths outside the showers and bathtubs are essential to assure safety. Finally, while there appeared to be a few leftover condiment such as salt and pepper the provision of a few basic spices and cooking oils would have been a welcomed addition along with a salt shaker to accompany the pepper shaker.

Thank you for your helpful feedback! We would have been happy to provide you with the bath mats that are part of each bathroom set if you had communicated with us during your stay. This feedback will help us ensure that's not overlooked when the house is cleaned and set up by professional house cleaners that do a fantastic job in the future. Thank you again!
The house is beautiful. It's a very close drive to Mendenhall Glacier and only about a 10 minute drive to Juneau. We loved being so close to the airport. We would stay here again.
Our family came to Juneau to visit our son, and found this house to be perfect. It's modern, comfortable and well kept, in a beautiful neighborhood (with the Mendenhall River right out the back door).
This was a stay to celebrate my 70th birthday and my husband and our 50th wedding anniversary. We stayed 4 nights with our adult children and our grandchildren. The location is wonderful, right on a huge river with a beautiful setting and close to everything. There were several games there that we played at night and the home was neat and clean. We fell in love with our Juneau part of our vacation and know a big part of it was having this wonderful home as our home base.
Very nice sized home for a family vacation. Loved it was along the river and great location in town! Very clean!! Near grocery store and quiet neighborhood. We had one little isssue and they were right there!
Four families together grandchildren ages 6-17, house very well suited to accommodate all of us. Jerry also provided an inflatable mattress and floor pads to accommodate teens sleeping . We enjoyed the back deck , watching the River levels rise and fall with the tides, saw seal swimming.
Really liked the location close to groceries, coffee kiosk, with easy driving distance 9 mikes to downtown and 2.5 miles to Auke Bay for our charter fishing and whale watch tours. Close
drive to a lovely lake for fishing and walks, to beaches for tidal pool exploration and picnic (Auk Valley), Lena Beach for camp fire and
sunset, Amalga Harbor for bear watching, Echo
cove , and the hatchery. Enjoyed fishing from shores. The dining room was great for card and board games as was the living room. Plenty of
room in kitchen for meal prep for 15. The owner Jerry answered questions and helped with problems when needed. I would recommend this house and owner for great vacation family gathering.
Internet ran out of service by 3rd day which meant no TV outside looked nothing like pictures very weedy and overgrown and not enough trash cans. Everything else was as stated. You might want to mention no A/C
I love staying in this property. The rooms are spacious and clean. The kitchen is well stocked. My only issue with this property has nothing to do with the property, but with the noise level. Helicopters are flying all day on top of the house (but this is only due to the beautiful location, close to the glacier). The outside sitting area is very comfortable, with a beautiful setting in front of the river.
