This luxurious 5 bedroom lakeside retreat is the perfect spot for families and friends to enjoy all that Prince Edward County has to offer. This home on main street is only a short walk to shops and resteraunts in downtown Wellington. You can also drive or cycle to the 26 wineries in the immediate area.
The space

This open concept stunning home offers beautiful views of desirable West Lake while providing all the comforts of home. This home boasts a fully equipped kitchen, two gas fireplaces, main floor laundry, a master bedroom with a queen bed and full ensuite bathroom, 3 other bedrooms with queen beds, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. There is a 55 inch smart tv in downstairs family room with Netflix. Large deck off the upper level is fully equipped with a Webber gas bbq and lots of seating for entertaining. Another patio off the bottom level makes a great combination of indoor and outdoor space.
The West Lake House is perfect for a weekend getaway or a weeks holiday.
This cozy retreat is fully winterized and includes a hot tub making it an ideal winter getaway as well.

Beautiful cottage on the lake!

Such a great spot to gather as a group of 10, with enough beds and bathrooms for everyone and enough chairs to gather around the tables (inside or out). Such a great stay thank you so much for the hospitality!

Great place for relaxing vacation

The house is very well located directly on the West Lake and close to Wellington shops and restaurants. Enough space for 10 people, I recommend to anyone who wants to have a nice relaxing vacation with friends and or family.

Steph is an amazing host - communicative and helpful! Our family of 10 enjoyed the upper deck, swans, and the beautiful view from every area of the house, including the kitchen (a nice bonus when preparing meals :). Whether walking or driving, the location is close to amenities. Highly recommend!

The house exceed expectations and Steph was so easy to communicate with, responsive and clear with answers and suggestions. The kitchen is well equipped and all the beds were comfortable. The deck and views over the water were lovely. We had a wonderful time celebrating my sister’s milestone birthday! The house is conveniently located and within walking distance to cafes, park and the Drake Devonshire (excellent dinner spot).

Relaxing Beautiful property in a great convenient location

This house was perfect for a group of six of us. Everybody had a lot of space and there are many bathrooms! The rooftop deck is beautiful and we really enjoyed the swans :-) the house was equipped with everything we needed. The only complaint we had is everything was quite dusty when it came to the beams and the windows and the bathroom, other than that, we would definitely stay here again

Clean and bright with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy shared time or quiet time. Directly on the water with a terrific dock, fire pit space, hot tub and gardens. We were celebrating our 65 birthdays and our friendship from highschool times! The kitchen was fully equipped, the pantry was stocked with lots of handy items from spices to coffee to sweeteners and so on. Our host Steph was super prompt to provide information or clarification. We were very impressed with this space and would recommend to others. The location is conveniently located to Sandbanks, Wanders, Picton, Lake on the Mountain and all kinds of wineries. As a bonus...lots of lovely swans!

Perfect Gathering Space!

Our stay was amazing! This was a gathering I had for 10 friends and there was more than enough space with large beds and multiple gatherings areas. We loved how the owner was incredibly accommodating and responded promptly to any inquiries leading up to the visit, and even left us a bottle of wine! The house was beautiful! We were walking distance to the Hayloft shuttle and other yummy restaurants. The lake was walking distance from the fire pit, and there was ample seating for a large group! Thank you Steph for everything!

Absolutely Fabulous !

We were a group of 8 women who get together every 5 years to celebrate our time at university together. The West Lake House was absolutely perfect for our get-together. Beautiful house, so much space inside and outside, great kitchen and eating area, lots of parking in front of the house - all in all perfect for a large group. We enjoyed the firepit by the lake late one afternoon and loved watching all the swans go by on the lake. Would love to return anytime. Thanks !

Lovely home!

My family and I spent a few chilly November days in this home. It is a lovely set up for families, or groups needing a little bit of separation so that those wanting to rest and watch the world go by could do so, while - in our case - the kids could watch tv and hang out downstairs. Wellington has a few spots to eat and a grocery store that is within walking distance (less than a mile). There is a beach area within less than half a mile that my youngest and I took a few windy walks along. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this spot - I bet it is even more special in the summer time!

Cousins Get Away

The moment we discovered this beautiful rental we knew we were in for a special stay. Steph, our hostess answered all of our questions and helped us through the actual stair layouts as we had a couple of gals who have mobility issues. Her communications were awesome and accurate. The kitchen was perfect and the dining area perfect for our group meals. The outside patio got a workout and of course the retractable awning was perfect as the weather was a little inclement. Bathrooms were well appointed as well. Our trip to the town of Wellington didn’t disappoint and had a great visit to a little wine store called Decanter. That was a wonderfully fun experience! I could go on and on, but if you’re considering this lovely home…just do it!! Thanks for everything Steph!

Family escape for Thanksgiving

My fam and in-laws got an extended weekend away in PEC. This property was right on the water and had everything you could need: Well stocked kitchen, tons of linens/towels/blankets and plenty of space, bbq, great deck and fire pit. We used the kayaks and had access to tons of life jackets. Hot tub was clean and welcoming too. Some fun seasonal decor too! Great internet speed for all of us. Perfect girlfriend getaway

We were thrilled with the house. The open concept is perfect for a large group socializing and the lovely lake view is a perfect backdrop. The deck provided a comfortable second gathering spot. Everything we could imagine was available, from extra towels, pillows and shampoo to coffee filters and a wine opener. Owner was extremely responsive to inquiries. Comfortable beds. Would definitely rent again.

What a getaway!

I've travelled to PEC many times and I would have to say this was one of my best stays. The owner Steph was extremely accessible and the house was situated on the main street in Wellington. This location offered two luxuries that are often non compatible proximity to local restaurants and store and waterfront privacy. The back of the house sits right on the water and the view is spectacular. Not a negative thing to say about this place. Thanks again Steph.

Amazing home!

Traveling as three families with six kids under the age of five and a half this place was PERFECT! Lots of room, beautiful outdoor living space and a hot tub for the adults once the kids were in bed. Absolutely loved our stay and would certainly come back!!
