Charming Deia House With Impressive Mountain Views
Lovely house looking towards the Tramuntana mountains, terraced olive groves and a magical view of the iconic Deia church. The gorgeous infinity pool and new wooden jacuzzi for star gazing at night are truly stunning in their surroundings (The wooden Jacuzzi will be installed by April 7th). It is an old Mallorcean house with beautiful rustic charm and original features. There is a sweet garden of oranges, lemons, cherries, jasmine, roses and more. The large terrace is a wonderful place to enjoy meals and spend evenings gazing at the view. There is also a balcony and covered patio. Inside there is one bedroom downstairs (2 single beds), the kitchen, living room with original fireplace and 2 bathrooms. Upstairs there is the master bedroom (1 King Bed) to the left, through and behind which is a room with 1 Queen bed that can be used to sleep a child or two if parents would like to be near by. A baby cot is also available. To the right, there is one bedroom also with two single beds and a further bedroom with 1 King Bed and its own large balcony. To access the far bedroom one must either go through the middle bedroom or there is a separate entrance to the balcony with steps leading down to the garden and kitchen patio. The house is cosy and was recently acquired along with all the furniture and belongings of the previous owners. All will be updated with time and for now it is charming, comfortable and has a very sweet happy feeling. Everyone sleeps very well here on the new extremely comfortable beds and super soft sheets. The property is 15mins walk or a couple of minutes drive into the village centre and one can walk 25mins down through olive groves to the beach or else it is a 10min drive. The entire coast is filled with rustic beach coves and lots of spectacular hiking can be done along the coast and up in the mountains. There are a few wonderful extra activities that can be arranged with the owner in advance. An unforgettable boat trip can be arranged to take you to magical blue caves and a stunning paella restaurant that can only be reached by boat. There is a massage table at the house and at home massages can also be arranged. We also have local chefs who can help with preparing meals if you wish and cleaning ladies for extra optional cleaning. There are many wonderful restaurants, gallery exhibits, a museum, the Robert Graves house, the church and other exciting things to explore. The property manager can help you with any questions you may have.
*Please note that the new wooden jacuzzi is an extra added feature and benefit. If for some reason, like all technical equipment there are unforeseen reasons it is not working during your stay we will do our best to fix it, however, no refund will be made. Chances are it should be working wonderfully.
*Check ins after 8pm incur a 50 euro charge.

We had a fantastic stay making use of all of the wonderful entertainment spaces. The pool is extraordinary and we spent a great deal of time in it enjoying the fantastic views. Anna’s house of full of calm homely touches and she is incredibly helpful
My friends and I had the perfect holiday at Anna's house. The property is beautiful and it is well located on the outskirts of Deia for wandering into town and down to the beach (c.20 mins). The pool and the views are incredible! Elena and Keita did a great job of making the house spotless and we were very grateful that they let us sit by the pool after check out whilst we waited for our taxi.
My friends and I have the most magical few days at Anna’s villa in Deia.
The most stunning setting, in a beautifully rustic villa, in the perfect location.
The villa is approximately 17 minute walk in to Deia centre, and approximately 30 minute walk to the beach.
Do not rely on taxis!
The walking is worth it if you can manage.
Anna recommended some amazing restaurants - Nama and Cas Patro March are a must.
She also helped my friend arrange a private chef and live music, which was a night I will never forget.
We arranged for a supermarket shop to be done for us on arrival, but this was double the price we expected. The local, small, supermarket is likely to stick everything you need, so I would just buy everything yourself.
There was a little confusion at check in (probably my fault) but it caused some frustration with my friends.
But do make sure you are aware of all the extra fees, so you have no surprises.
Thank you so much to Anna for allowing us to stay at your beautiful villa.

Hi Jenny, Im so glad you had a great stay. Yes you are right that the tourist tax and short stay fee were agreed when the booking was made so I dont understand where the confusion was, except perhaps that you used two different platforms and several friends to communicate:) Im also surprised the shopping was more expensive than you thought because the local shops prices are much higher than the big supermarket. Anyway, Elena did it as a favor for a small hourly rate as you asked her to. Most of all, Im happy you had a good time and enjoyed your stay at the house. Best wishes, Anna

A poorly maintained and untidy house
We have stayed in Deia before in much better villas of an comparable price. The house and garden need some tender loving care. I know the house is old and rustic but this does not excuse a broken dish washer, a broken oven, a broken toaster. One bedroom door does not close due to a missing hinge, a couple of the kitchen cupboard hinges were broken. Anna did replace the toaster but was very argumentative about the oven saying it did work and that we were not using it correctly. We aren't stupid, one of us is an engineer, but we could not get the oven to light despite many attempts. We stayed in this house for 10 days without a dishwasher or oven.
The outside space is lovely with fantastic views of Deia and the mountains. The outside furntiure was very good. Unfortunately the weather was cool for the time of year and once you lose the sun at 4pm you are in the shade. ( I appreciate this is due to the high mountains, but it is something to bear in mind). There was no where comfortable for 7 of us to sit inside.
The house is 2km from the centre of the village. The walk is flatish.
We were told by Anna to hire a Fiat 500 due to the small parking space at the house. There were 7 of us plus luggage we hired a VW caddy. I was very disappointed to see that the reason for the small parking space was due to the fact Anna leaves her own car in half the parking space. It is clearly only used when she visits Deia. I thought this was somewhat thoughtless.

Unfortunately Mary was a very rude guest. 1: yes it was a shame that the day before her stay, the new Miele dishwasher had a fault and their technician in Spain was very difficult to get a hold of, but it is now fixed and this was no ones fault. 2: The oven does work, but Mary refused to turn the dial to the left. I have since video taped proof that it works perfectly well & explained this to her many times. There is even a spare electric oven. 3: The toaster was replaced the same day she let me know there was an issue. 4: The parking space immediately at the house only fits one fiat500 size car. Other cars must park 100m down the road. If Mary had a car suitable for the parking space my car would have been moved, but she did not and it would not fit regardless of my car being there or not. Also usually Deia is very hot and once the shade comes in the late afternoon/early evening (later in the summer) it is most welcomed. However I have to say that even off season, no one has ever complained about this as there is still a lot of light where we are and it is quite beautiful in the early evenings reflecting off the mountains. It is unfortunate that Mary was not able to enjoy her stay in such a beautiful place as most people do which is why this special house usually receives 5 star reviews. Best wishes, Anna
Schönes Haus in toller Umgebung, jedoch Unterhalt nötig

Thank you Sabina. You are entitled to your opinion but many people love the old charm and beauty of the house and seek it out specifically for that reason. What one person sees as run down, another appreciates as history, yes, that part of the house is 3-500 years old with valuable old period features. There are other new build homes in other parts of Mallorca which you are welcome to stay in. But this home is priced very reasonably considering the market in Deia for houses with pools and it is a very special place and in a very special location with stunning views. The kitchen and livingroom are charming as is, but one day will be tastefully expanded and renovated in keeping with the old charm and maintaining the old period features. The price will also then increase accordingly. Best wishes, Anna

Lee had a great stay at Anna’s. It’s in a great location the teens loved it as they could walk to the village and the beach.
The house was great. Rustic as described. The pool area was heaven. And all 8 of us fitted in very easily - Anna is a great communicator which was super helpful.

Hi Rose, it was lovely to host you and Im so glad you enjoyed your stay. :) Anna

Response from VrboOwner on 22 May 2022
Dear Clemence,
I’m very sorry you found the house too cold. That weekend was uncharacteristically cold for April as it was 9 degrees which is not normal.
After spending 9hrs at the house you called me at 8pm to say that you were leaving because you found the house too cold and I suggested you turn the heating up fully which makes it perfectly warm and you refused to even try and do it. I also went to the house a couple of hours later and it was perfectly warm even though you had left all the shutter doors open at night. Nevertheless since last weekend we have installed 2 extra heaters downstairs in case they are needed.
However I would like to add that we had guests stay in the house the two prior weekends who were perfectly happy and I even stay there with my 2 year old son during the winter. Furthermore, the temperature does not have to be 18 outside, as you say for the house to be enjoyed. I have people stay over New Years every year.
The house is perfectly warm with the full heating on but you were unwilling to try and informed me of this at 8pm at night unfortunately and left 5mins later giving me no chance to rectify the situation.
The house was also very clean when you arrived as I saw it both before and after you left. And finally, whilst Deia is in the mountains, it is a coastal village and the beach is a 25min walk or 10min drive down.
Thank you and best wishes,
Anna
Very rustic but full of charm. Communication was excellent and check in was very easy. The area is delightful and you feel as though you are back in time. Beds were very comfy and outdoor area was great with amazing views
My girlfriends and I spent a long weekend here and loved it.
The house is wonderful and the beds really comfortable.
Elena, the house keeper met us at the house and explained all we needed to know. She is lovely and very helpful.
The house has all that you would need and is only a short walk into Deia.
My favourite part is the pool which we made good use of as well as the wonderful hot tub.
We would all love to come here again.

Stunning views and cute villa in peaceful location
Unfortunately we had bad weather during our stay but the view was spectacular. We still had lovely meals on the terrace and huddled in the cosy nook with fireplace. We also made good use of the hot tub given that it was too cold to swim in the pool
My only word of caution would be that if you do lots of cooking there is no dishwasher but we had lovely barbecues and walks around Deia.

Beautiful
We have recently returned from a fantastic week at Anna's beautiful Deia home. It is a truly stunning property. The photos only give a glimpse of its beauty and charm.
It has everything needed and Anna was a pleasure to deal with throughout the process. All of the bedrooms are perfect. As mentioned in other reviews you have to walk through the main bedroom to get to the attic bedroom but this really isn't a problem particularly if you are a family. It is a perfect rental for two families as we were.
The views are beyond spectacular. The terrace area is the most amazing place to wind away a summers evening.
We were two families travelling with 5 children aged 3 upwards. As expected with a property of this character we had to be careful with the younger children but certainly the two three years old we had were fine around the pool area and on the stairs in the property although possibly if they had been younger we have would been a little more anxious. This is by no means a criticism of the house just an observation if you are planning on travelling with very small children still at the crawling / beginning to walk stage.
The walks to Deia and the beach are beautiful and indeed lots of fun for the children. Again with the beach in particular if you have younger children and require a buggy the walk down through the olive groves could be a bit difficult but I believe there are many ways down to the beach so I am sure there would be a buggy friendly route.
All in all I would thoroughly recommend this property and indeed Deia. It is a charming place where you can escape form reality for a week. There is a beautiful local shop/bakery in the village where we were able to obtain groceries for dinner each evening and beautiful fresh fruit. We did have a hire car but you could manage perfectly well without one.

Lovely house, great atmosphere, stunning view, unique house with lots of character, fab interiors.
We had such a fantastic holiday, the unique character of the house made the holiday extra special, and the hill town of Deia is beautiful with nice restaurants and shops and an interesting history and culture. I would come back to this property again if it was available, the owner was helpful and accommodating. I will remember this holiday for a long time, the little beach at Deia is nice and the neighbouring town of Villdamossa, but frankly you could stay at the house the whole time and have a great time. I think it is a particularly nice part of Mallorca and I have stayed in a few different parts of the island and this spot is the best.

Peaceful Oasis
Came to Deia with my wife and two children for a long weekend.
The house is a peaceful oasis just far enough out of the village to feel secluded and yet only a pleasant 15min stroll to a selection of wonderful restaurants and a delightful array of local arts. We took a magnificent walk along the coast and Anna helped us to organize an unforgettable day out on a boat where we visited blue grottos and ate paella with a cascading view of the cliffs down the coast.
The house itself has a breathtaking view, the natural hot tub was delightful at dusk whilst the mountains turned a pinky orange color.
The house is rustic and charming, a time travel to an older world. The beds are ridiculously comfortable and dressed with very fine sheets.
We will certainly return.

Response from VrboOwner on 18 March 2020
To bring some clarity on this review: First of all these guests were neither elderly nor did they have children. There are a lot of families with children who do stay here for their holidays very happily and safely and children who were brought up here in the house perfectly well. All small children in Deia need to be observed and supervised as it is naturally a precarious landscape with mountains and pools everywhere; there are no large flat grassy lawns in Deia. On that note, I always offer guests a baby sitter or chef for hire if they wish to have some extra help during their holiday. Equally, the elderly have lived in Deia and in my house for centuries very happily. There are only a few small steps down to the house from the carpark.
I gave this person a generous last minute discount to stay at the house and yet from the moment they arrived they were making up all sorts of absurd accusations and were obviously searching for a further discount. I offered to give them a full refund as I only want people in my home who are completely happy and to help relocate them, but no, they wanted to continue to stay and even extended their stay by 3 days because they were "relaxing and enjoying" themselves.
This guest was obviously waiting to pounce on the opportunity to dish out a bad review and attempt to lower my star rating which up until now has been a resounding 5. A surprising experience especially when most guests are extremely lovely!

A Jewel in the Mountains of Deia
I recently stayed for the second time at "Charming Deia House". The most delightfully cozy, pretty, and comfortable little five bedroom house in Deya, complete with a beautiful swimming pool and stunning mountain views. It was just heavenly. The house is centrally located in a peaceful little Mallorquin enclave on a terraced hillside across the small valley from the charming little mountaintop church. A fifteen minute walk takes one from the house to the picturesque village with it's quaint restaurants, shops, supermarket, lively local bar, Sa Fonda, and of course the church at the top, while a twenty-five minute walk down through the olive groves takes one to the Cala, the beautiful village beach complete with two lively restaurants overlooking the bay with swimming cove and snorkelling off the rocks, or hiking along the cliff tops, enjoying the spectacular sea and mountain views and exploring nearby beaches.
The house itself is beautifully kept and has an old-world rustic charm.
It feels like a home away from home - a place which lends itself to inviting friends. I look forward to future visits. There is parking for a small car by the gate or a few yards down the road for larger cars.

Charming Deia house with expansive mountain view - a true gem
We loved this charming house for our recent stay in Deia. There is an infinity pool, a fire place, loungers in perfect sun spots and mountain views and several different terraces to eat breakfast or dinner from. We felt so relaxed here, slept super well and came home so revitalised. Anna has left lots of great touches - wine, fruit, herbs and spices for cooking, great bed linen and lots of towels. You can walk into Deia village in 15 minutes and down to the beach in 25 mins. We would highly recommend.

Wonderful rustic place with amazing views
We loved staying at Anna's house in Deia. The views are incredible and the pool is perfect. Anna was helpful in providing some good restaurant and beach suggestions nearby. The house is definitely rustic - on a hillside in the mountains, surrounded by lush vegetation and citrus trees. If you're not into rustic, it may not be for you -- there are the occasional ants wondering in and mosquitos on humid nights, but the place is totally worth it. The only other downside is if you're a couple, there's not any queen/king sized beds - only singles (which you can put together to feel like a king-size, but it's still 2 mattresses). We'll definitely be back.

Response from VrboOwner on 18 March 2020
Thank you for the review! In fairness, I would like to say that mosquitos and a few ants (if food is left out) are a normal part of a mediterranean summer; as the house was only purchased recently it is still in the process of being fine tuned and refurbished, i.e.; the kitchen and bathrooms will be redone to be more high end and at least one (or possibly 2) king size beds will be at the house soon. It was lovely to meet you both and look for ward to seeing you when you are back:-)

What makes this property unique
Wonderful to be slightly out of the center of the village giving a countryside feeling but still only a beautiful and pleasant 15min walk to the center.
