Our host was super responsive on the few times we contacted her. Most of the house was clean except for the upstairs shower stall - mold issues. Would have had problems with the BBQ if my Mr Fix it wasn't there and made it usable. BBQ needs replacing..Kitchen eas well enough stocked for cooking. The setting with the lake and river was fantastic!

In response to concerns.
1. Mold can build up with excessive use, this is why I have provided a squeegee for the upstairs shower and it should be use to prevent extra moisture build up, which can lead to mold.
2. The grill works fine. The guests did not contact me and ask how to use it, if they did, I could have given them proper instructions, no fixes required. The problem was that the grates were old. I purchased new grates for it, so this will not be an ongoing issue.
Ryne was super responsive to any messages I had left for him. The place was clean and comfortable. We had 8 adults and one 10 year old. The private beach area was fantastic and offered alot of fun to our stay. The firepit area was our favorite when we came back from sightseeing for the day. We do wish we had a view of the lake from inside the house but with the trees, we couldn't see much. But it's literally a 30 second walk to get to the beach area so that was not such a bad thing. We really enjoyed our time at the EcoLodge.
Great place tucked in the woods. Personalized welcome note was a nice touch. Would love to return in the warmer months to take advantage of the lake front.
The beach access at this property is truly incredible. The views are breathtaking, and it was amazing to not have to leave the property for the beach experience. Walks on the beach were a hit with the entire family. We even saw some shooting stars while enjoying the fire pit! The proximity to the Porcupine Mountains also can’t be beat. This property gives you access to an unbeatable outdoor experience. The house is very spacious and has a lot to offer. We appreciated the toy closet and books for the kids. There was also a high chair, which made our stay easier. There were plenty of beds for our family and sufficient seating for meals. The host is extremely responsive as we reached out with questions about the house as one of our family members has some limited mobility. We had a few areas of feedback that we felt were also important to share. When we arrived, there was no extra toilet paper in the bathrooms. The host was very apologetic and quick to respond when we messaged! As a couple other reviews noted, there is some mold around the showers. The bathrooms also have a musty smell. The beds have older, worn mattresses and aren’t all the most comfortable. Finally, the grill was nearly unusable, luckily the fire pit is incredible and there are roasting sticks outside. Overall an incredible experience. The house could use some love, but the beach and forest experience makes up for any shortcomings.

In response to this guests concerns,
1) regarding the toilet paper, there was extra toilet paper and I told the guests where to find it and they did, so I'm not sure why this was even mentioned.
2) Mold can build up with excessive shower use combined with guests not using the squeegee which I provide. The showers are clean and this is not an ongoing issue.
3) The beds are fine, this is the first such complaint. I did get a new foam cover for one of them and will be getting more.
3) I have just got new grates for the grill and it is in fine working order
Lovely home with spectacular setting. The weather was great, too, and we swam in Lake Superior and played and paddled on the river every day. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 4 kids. A great place to make memories.
Awesome property has EVERYTHING and then some we totally enjoyed our stay. The property owner was very easy to communicate with and everything was 1st class
Perfect location to visit Porcupine Mountains. We really enjoyed being able to photograph the Northern Lights over Lake Superior right from the property.
Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home.
We enjoyed the stay a lot. Lake Superior never disappoints. More prestay communication with the manager would be good but otherwise it was an excellent experience.

I’m sorry you felt that way. What wasn’t well maintained or cleaned?
We had a great time here. The house fit our family perfectly. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location was awesome. We loved having our own private beach. Ryne was very kind and left us some wood for the woodstove and even offered the use of his snowshoes.
Terrific property- location is superb- private, serene with wonderful lake views and right next to the Porkies. Owners clearly care deeply about the home and the land surrounding it. Highly recommend for couples and families seeking a private natural setting.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! And thank you for leaving the house super clean!! I really appreciate it!! You and your wife were awesome guests!!!
Excellent location to check out the Porcupine Mountains. House was spacious and plenty of room for everyone. The beach was awesome. One drawback was not being able to see the water from the deck.
Beautiful location in the woods, amazing beach area
We loved the house and spot on the lake. There is a fun little river that flows into Lake Superior. The sunrise and sunset were so pretty. We had all the things we needed to explore and have fun including lots of info about the surrounding area. Our host left yummy treats that we enjoyed. The beds were ok and we missed having some blinds especially in the downstairs bathroom and bedroom.
