Oceanfront resort - SANDS VILLA. Located at Macon Road - has indoor and outdoor pools, jacuzzi, tennis and basketball courts, and playground. Private beach access with ramped walkway over the dunes makes getting your little ones and all your beach gear out to the sand so much easier. Units are bright and have open floor plan with sliding doors to balcony. Size of this property gives you all the amenities you could want without the crowds. Pools and beach are typically quiet all summer long.

Plenty to see and do: Fort Macon State Park. Located one mile east of condo - construction began on this fort in 1826 in response to fears among the colonists of an invasion by a hostile nation. The fort would later be traded back and forth between Union and Confederate forces during the Civil War before it became a federal prison in 1867, closed entirely in 1903 and then was purchased by North Carolina for $1 in 1924 to become the second state park. Featuring a beautiful beach and interactive programs about the fort, Ft. Macon State Park is a great place to soak up some history or just soak up the sun.
NC Maritime Museum. This museum, situated on historic Front Street in Beaufort, features exhibits that reveal maritime history from boats to seashells to pirates.

NC Aquarium - NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. The Close Encounters touch tank and the turtle nursery where baby loggerheads are cared for are sure to be family favorites. Surrounded by the 300-acre Theodore Roosevelt Natural Area, the aquarium also has a boardwalk, two nature trails and offers programs, which include snorkeling and canoeing. In & out - easy!

We had a short stay in the middle of a tropical storm, but property has an indoor pool and hot tub. Residence was nice and Jeannie, owner took care of everything. Awesome.

Summer vacation July 2019

It was a nice place , however one of the two elevators was down a majority of the stay as well as the hot tub jets. The property manager actually approached me in a rude manner and became aggressive in questioning me in front my guests regarding pool passed and who I was renting from , all while I stood in a dripping wet bathing suit with multiple bags in each of my hands. The property owner however was very responsive prior to my arrival and easily made able to contact if needed . All in all I give this place a 7/10.

Wonderful place, especially if you are looking for a beach that is not over commercialized but has access to retail/restaurants and other businesses to meet your needs while on vacation. Layout of the complex is great with easy access to the beach and with the pool on the path to the beach for ease of use of both beach/pool. Beach/pool are not crowded, nice balance of enough people so not desolate but not overcrowded. Indoor pool also available for rainy days. Owner was extremely pleasant to work with and was very accommodating in working with us as we were looking for a last minute booking.

Great Family Vacation Spot

Wonderful complex. Jeannie has three units for rent which is nice if you are traveling with family or friends. You can each have your own space but still be together. One of the units is ocean view and one is ocean front. The other is 1st floor and very quiet corner of the building. The indoor pool sets this complex apart from others. On rainy days, evenings, or when we had too much sun, this was great to have the indoor pool. Also, the restaurant on site for breakfast and lunch was very helpful if we didn't want to go anywhere but right to the beach. The complex and each unit are clean and "like home". The washer and dryer in each unit was great so we didn't have to pack a lot and didn't have a ton of laundry when we got home. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back. Dawn and family

laid back, nice family experience

Good location close to fort macon and bridge. I like this place better than Myrtle Beach as has activities, but not as overtly commercial and more laid back and relaxing. Offers chance to see some nature while still having things to do. Condo was an average beach place and overall a good value. There is no ocean view, but it is a corner unit so quieter and with easy access to stairs. It didn't match pictures of furnishings online so not as accomodating as looked, did not have ceiling fans, had only 1 smallish TV, and the furniture was dated. The couch/beds are just OK, not overly comfortable. Wireless was always available but speed varied gretaly between 48 Mbps down to 6 Mbps. Access to the beach is short walk. The beach is clean and was not crowded. It really is too windy to use an umbrella, but does keep you cooled off. Waves can get strong. The pool is average size and can get pretty busy. There was good communication before, during and leaving. Jeannie provided prompt response to my multiple inquiries and paperwork/keys/passes arrived timely as promised. In Beaufort liked WaterBug tour and Whimisicals shop. Also, the maritime musuem across street was nice and free. FishTales & McCurdy's had good food. The entire family enoyed making smores at table at Amos Mosquitos. Michealangelos had good pizza was non-stop busy. Stay away from Sanitary restaurant in Morehead. Like I said it is an average beach place, so if you are looking for a place to just sleep, shower, and use as a base for the days activities this is good for you. Probably not for you if are high maintenance, want pampered, or don't like bringing your own linens.

Can't go Wrong Renting This Condo

I rented this condo the last week of June 2009. There were 2 adults and 5 kids (ages from 4-13). We fit very comfortably! The condo was clean and well worth the price! With having the 3 bedroom and a pull out couch, everyone slept comfortably. The description written by Jeannie was very accurate! The indoor pool was great since we got a little burned in the first couple days of being there. Jeannie was a pleasure to work with and the communication was great! I would highly recommend this condo to a friend and plan on renting next year if my family is still in the area.

We had a good weekend at Atlantic beach. The children enjoyed both the indoo(it rained one day) and outdoor pool. The apartment was comfortable for two couples -- the children shared the bunk beds in the 3rd bedroom. Access to the beach in front of the building is good, but the apt does not have a view of the ocean. There is a comfortable balcony for enjoying sea breezes. We grilled by the pool both days for lunch while the children swam. Go about 20 minutes south for for fresh seafood to cook or for shrimp "burgers" and bbq. North to Fort Macon site. Owners were helpful when we forgot a few items of clothing in a closet.

Spacious vacation condo

The description was correct on the condo. It was very spacious where the kids could play and were not under your feet. I would recommend this condo to any of my friends and use it again in the future. The owner had great communication. Thanks again for all your help.
