Located close to public boat ramp in quiet family friendly neighborhood, removed from the traffic yet right in the middle of town. WiFi provided. Perfect for yoga retreat with private wooded backyard covered with live oak trees. Paddleboard classes or rental available. Pet Friendly.

Amazing house and host! The perfect beach getaway, there is a gate on the front porch which was so lovely as my dog could sit outside with us. There were also a few extra amenities like boogie boards, bad mitten, umbrellas and more! The host was very gracious and welcoming, I highly recommend this place and would stay again!

Totally best host we’ve ever had we felt at home immediately. The property is so unique we loved all the knickknacks!! Definitely would recommend booking if you can there is so much to eat and do near and plenty of recommended spots from Rose that we absolutely loved. We will make this a tradition for sure especially if we get to stay here!

This property was a great value! It is walkable from both the beach and the bay. Rose was a wonderful hostess who accommodated us, brought over extra towels, and communicated well. The property has everything you might need with kitchen supplies, beach chairs, boogie boards and the like. Do note, THE PROPERTY DOES NOT HAVE LAUNDRY. You can use the coin laundry in town or plan accordingly. Overall, I would highly recommend. The property is everything you need for a thrifty stay in OBX.

We stayed at this cottage for a week. 3 Adults, 2 dogs. This property was PERFECT FOR DOGS. End of a quiet street with yard space. The fenced upper deck was a nice surprise. It is very challenging to find a property that will accommodate 2 large dogs and this one definitely fit the bill for a reasonable price. LOCATION WAS AMAZING. We walked to the beach each day (about 3 blocks). Many restaurants and stores nearby. Rose was a very prompt communicator. Check-in was a breeze. Things to be aware of: laundry was listed as an amenity and there is not any on-property laundry (we packed for the ability to do laundry and needed to run to Target and buy a few extra clothes), the home is in need of some minor updates (stained towels, bedding with tears/rips, kitchen cabinet broken, etc...), and I would have loved to have a vacuum available in the house (we found a broom, but that was it).Overall, a good stay.

Our family of five spent the week and absolutely loved it! Rose is a gracious hostess. From fresh eggs and cucumbers brought for our family to enjoy, to making sure we knew great places to eat, and beaches and activities to enjoy, she made sure our vacation was great. All our boys said the house was the best part of our stay, due to the variety of games she has available. We know where to stay if we are back in OBX!

Wonderful Beach Cottage

Second stay at Rose’s beach cottage and we got to meet Rose, she’s absolutely wonderful and a great host. Great location, private backyard, always very clean, and super close to the beach. Lovely place to stay with the furbabies, We look forward to coming back!

We have lived on the Outer Banks since 1975. The ocean called Wayne here to surf from Hampton Va. many years ago and we couldn't live anywhere else now. We raised two beautiful girls here, one still in high school off to college soon. I attended ECU , Special Ed. teacher. Wayne is a professional house painter.



Why they chose this property

We bought this home four years ago. I have remodeled it so my Mother and family would always have a place to stay close by. It's so secluded yet so close to everything we need. A little slice of heaven in the middle of town! We can show you how we really live life to the fullest here on our little sandbar we call home.
