We had a great stay in this lovely property which fit 8 adults very comfortably. Excellent location to access several ski resorts and shared areas to enjoy meals, play games, etc. as a group. We loved our stay!
Six of us stayed this past weekend and really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was really well stocked with tools and dishes. The view from the hot tub was awesome! It was nice that the house is in a quiet neighborhood yet still so central.
We were six adults which was a little tight with the bunk room but we still had a blast. I highly recommend this property!
We absolutely loved our visit to the Cozy Mountain House! It was perfect for my family, lots of sleeping options. My kids love playing in the loft and the hot tub was wonderful after a day of skiing! They keep the property immaculacy clean as well. Allison the host was super helpful and check in and out was extremely easy. The whole stay surpassed expectations!
We spent a wonderful week in Silverthorne at this beautiful home. Everything was perfect. Check in was super easy. Communication was perfect. Whenever we had a question, we got an immediate reply. The house is perfect for a family with three bedrooms and a loft with an additional bed. Thanks so much for having us!!!

You and your family were an absolute pleasure to host! You are welcome back any time!
Kitchen was fully stocked, hot tub was new and stayed hot all weekend, and everything was as advertised. The bed in the loft is a bit smaller than expected and only accessible by a ladder, but the bed was more comfortable than expected. It’s a perfect room for kids but is a little tight for an adult couple. But we made it work and were very happy with our stay!
We had a great time as we do every summer with my dad. The fishing wasn’t quite as good but the weather and views were breathtaking. The house could use some updates as the dining room chairs kept trying to fall apart and the couch was not comfortable. Other than that we enjoyed our time with family.
We had a great stay at this property! Location is convenient to at least two world class mountains(Keystone and Breckenridge are ~15 and 20 minutes)…. This combined with the private hot tub made this a great value for your trip. Owner was super responsive and accommodating to help my elderly parents.
The only caution I have for anyone interested is to be aware that the loft bedroom required climbing a 6 rung ladder. No problem for us but make sure this won’t be a problem at least one part of your party.
Do hesitate to book this property if available for your stay!

Thanks so much for the great review! We loved having you!
Yes, the ladder! :) Just to clarify for future guests reading this review, the ladder leads to a loft which is not one of the official 3 bedrooms. It is a flex loft space that happens to have a bed in there for over-flow. It is not included in the bedroom or bed count.
Come back and see us! Thanks Douglas!

Meet Your Hosts
Our family has had a place in Summit County since 1980, and these mountains have been part of our lives for generations. What started as a family getaway has become one of our favorite places to spend time together, and we're excited to share it with you.
Seth grew up in Minnesota and first fell in love with Colorado during a high school spring break ski trip. How could he not? Bluebird skies, incredible skiing, endless mountain adventures, and the occasional 70-degree day in the middle of winter are hard to beat.
I grew up skiing Keystone Mountain before I could walk (and eventually traded my skis for a snowboard). Keystone has always held a special place in my heart, and it became even more meaningful when Seth and I were married at the top of the mountain in 2001.
Today, we live in downtown Denver. While we love city life, being close to nature has always been important to us. We spend as much time as possible in Summit County hiking, mountain biking, paddleboarding on Lake Dillon, skiing, snowboarding, and simply enjoying everything the mountains have to offer.
Professionally, Seth works in hospitality and I am a real estate broker, so creating welcoming spaces and helping people feel at home is something we both genuinely enjoy.
We have two daughters—one recently graduated from the University of Colorado and the other is currently a student at Loyola Marymount University. No matter where life takes them, their favorite thing is still coming home and spending time together at "the mountain house."
We hope you enjoy making memories here as much as our family has over the years.
Why they chose this property
Why We Chose Willowbrook
Willowbrook immediately felt like home to us because it offers something that's becoming harder to find in many mountain communities—a true neighborhood. With a large number of full-time residents, it feels less transient than many resort areas and more like a genuine community. We know our neighbors, look out for one another, and enjoy catching up.
Summit County has been our second home for as long as we can remember. My parents purchased property in Keystone in 1980, and our family has had a place in the area ever since. We bought the Bighorn Mountain House in 2018, and it has become our home away from home through some of life's busiest and most memorable years.
While we live in downtown Denver and love everything city life has to offer, being able to escape to the mountains is incredibly important to our family. We all ski and snowboard, so you'll often find us here during the winter months enjoying the slopes. But if we're being honest, summer and fall are our favorite times of year in Summit County. Long sunny days, cool mountain evenings, hiking and biking trails, paddleboarding on Lake Dillon, and the stunning fall colors make it a truly special place to be.
For us, Willowbrook offers the perfect balance—close to everything Summit County has to offer, yet tucked into a neighborhood that feels welcoming, peaceful, and connected. We hope you'll feel at home here, too.
What makes this property unique
We fell in love with this home the moment we walked through the front door. The soaring ceilings, exposed timber beams, and open-concept layout create a warm, inviting space that's perfect for gathering with family and friends after a day in the mountains.
One of our favorite things about the home is that it lives like a single-family residence while offering all the convenience of a duplex. The spacious great room flows seamlessly into the kitchen and dining area, making it easy for everyone to stay connected whether they're cooking, playing games, watching a movie, or simply enjoying the mountain views.
The private deck and hot tub overlooking the Gore Range are another standout feature. There's nothing better than soaking under the stars after a day of skiing, hiking, biking, or paddleboarding on Lake Dillon.
After a full renovation, the home blends modern comfort with classic mountain character, creating the perfect balance of cozy and updated. Whether you're here for a ski trip, summer adventure, or a relaxing getaway, we hope you'll love spending time at the mountain house as much as our family does.
