Beautiful, comfortable home
A dog friendly Vermont paradise is what we were looking for and exactly what we got. The house is welcoming, comfortable and clean. Private setting with mountain views and a great system of trails right out the backyard. Beautiful wood stove keeps the place warm and cozy and a hot tub in the back. Couldn't ask for more.
Lisa is a wonderful host. Her home is a warm, comfortable, and relaxing space where people can connect. Beautiful views, close to skiing and many towns, and had everything we needed for a great stay.
My husband and I stayed in this house for a month. It was immaculate at check in. Lisa was very quick to answer any questions we had. The views were amazing. It was truly the trip of a lifetime.
This is our second year back and we absolutely love the house. It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot with everything you need. And if you haven’t stayed in a ‘Vermont built house’- this is what you’ve been missing. Close to both Smuggler’s Notch (about 1/2 hour) and Stowe (25 minutes), with grocery stores just a quick trip down the hill. Beautiful views. I wish I could see it in the spring. The grounds are beautiful. We can’t wait to come back!
Lisa’s place is wonderful. Such a peaceful and restful retreat. Lisa is an amazing host as well. We loved warming up by the fire and relaxing in the hot tub after skiing.
We had a fantastic time at Lisa’s place. The home is warm and relaxing. Lots of books to read by the fire, and amazing mountain views. The beds were very comfy and the hot tub was a real treat. We will definitely be back!
What an incredible vacation! I cannot say enough about the property and the host. Beautiful views, super quiet, see the stars, mountain views. The house is incredible. Lisa not only let us use her sleds- she had clearly moved some fallen trees for the kids. The home is lovely, with great energy. Perfect distance from town.
Lisa’s place was such a great getaway, with everything you need and could want. The hot tub and fireplace were so nice after cold days skiing. Lisa was quick to respond and so helpful, she was over in just a few minutes when we got our car stuck in the snow, ready to help get us out. Can’t wait to be back!
Our experience at the property was fantastic. We tried to take advantage of all it had to offer, especially with a nice dumping of fresh snow: the stove, coffee drinking and reading spots, hot tub, snow shoes and trails. Lisa is a wonderful host and if you’re considering a trip here for a Stowe weekend or ski trip, don’t hesitate! Thanks for sharing your home with us and for the great stay!!
We loved our stay! So often rentals feel sterile and unwelcoming. Not here. We adored the mid century modern vibes of this home; this is a house I would want to live in. All the books, the art work, the plants, the fireplace ( oh how we loved this fireplace), and the well stocked kitchen made this place feel good. There are outdoor views from every place in the house. I also loved that the home was so welcoming to our pup. She loved her stay too. We hope to return again.
We had a great time at this property with our two small infants. Lisa was very accommodating and we would definitely stay here again. Great winter getaway!
Our family has been renting vacation homes for many years and this is one of the cleanest, warmest and well stocked we’ve stayed in- which is why we keep coming back! It doesn’t feel like a rental- it feels more like your best friend offered their home to you for a few days. You will want for nothing. The views are magnificent and the fire and hot tub were just what we needed after a day of skiing. Highly recommended!
Really enjoyed our stay, house is as advertised. Beautiful Mountain views and sunsets, hot tub, wood burning stove, open airy living space and great property for the kids and dog. 15-20 mins into Stowe. Highly recommended.
Lisa was a fantastic host. When we arrived a fire was already started in the stove, and the hot tub nice and hot. The house is conveniently located near many ski areas and staying there was a real treat. Highly recommended.
This was my first stay in Vermont, and using VRBO. I could not be more pleased with the whole experience and the home was spectacular! The hot tub and nearby slopes made for a great trip. I would love to stay again!
Lisa's home was amazing, 100% accurate.
If you want a quiet getaway, beautiful home, and fantastic neighborhood, this is the place!
Very communicative and helpful
We will be back very soon!
Thank you, Lisa!
This home is one of the best we’ve ever rented. Equipped with everything you could possibly want and so incredibly comfortable. The owner was so responsive. We can not wait to return!!
As always this home is immaculate and comfy with all of the amenities needed. The snow shoe trail is peaceful, beautiful, and well marked! It felt like we were home while on vacation. I’ve stayed here multiple times over the years and Lisa and her home have been consistently pleasant. I hope to be back again!
If I could give this review 500 stars I would. This beautifully decorated, well-kept cabin in the woods was the perfect COVID-friendly escape this winter. We stayed here on the coldest weekend of the year and cozied up in this amazing cabin, keeping warm with the well stocked wood burning stove, cooking in the well stocked kitchen, and venturing out into the hot tub when we felt brave enough to face the blistering cold.
Everything about this house was perfect - the most unique art, well-maintained, the comfiest bed and all the little things you hope for when spending time in a home away from home, featuring absolutely stunning views to boot! It's nestled on a beautiful property that feels totally secluded, with all the comfort and convenience of a quick 5 minute ride to stores, and a quick (and scenic) 20ish minute ride to a shopping, more stores and restaurants, and Stowe!
I couldn't recommend this place highly enough!
We absolutely loved this place! Very, spacious, clean, comfortable, and had everything anyone could possibly need, and it was all easy to find. Beautiful art throughout the house, and the beds and furnishings were all really high quality and very comfortable. Even on the one day it rained we enjoyed the gorgeous view out of the big picture windows and the bedrooms, the lovely wood-burning stove, and the games and puzzles. The sledding hill was a big hit with the kids, the miles of trails at our doorstep was also really awesome. The owner was a pleasure to work with and provided clear instructions and great information about the local trails. All in all this place is a real gem! We hope to visit again.

We live for the outdoors. In the summer Mary is in the garden or on her bike and Lisa is climbing mountains or doing her fine art photography. In the winter we are snowshoeing or cross country skiing. We live in a special place with 4 season activities out the door or a short drive away. We are both retired but are busier then ever! Zora is our wonderful golden retriever and she keeps us active. We love the peace and quiet of our home and hope you will too.
