When you first arrive at your new home-away-from-home, you’ll love the tranquil atmosphere enveloping the cabin, unplug and enjoy a peaceful & relaxing hideaway in a private contemporary style home located in Lake Arrowhead! This home gives you the true feel of the Poconos. You are guaranteed to find fun all year long!
Our spacious home is a perfect getaway from everyday life, suitable for families with or without kids, ski vacation or a summer getaway. Our home has 2 floors that consist of 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, living room with hardwood floors, and a modern kitchen. We have high speed wifi, TVs, and an office with a printer for you. Our gazebo is great for bbqing outside and our fire pit is perfect to roast marshmallows at night. There is a Walmart in the area and shopping centers 30 minutes out.

Note: There are amenity fees of $8 per per person per day during peak season and $4 per person per day during off season. These fees are associated with the community. Even if you do not use the amenities the fee is required.

Nice relaxing family get away Host was very helpful and friendly. House was very clean inside , outside could use some improvement but overall we were very happy! Loved having our dog with us and even brought him to Jubilee for dinner!

Great quiet getaway!!

This was such a nice little getaway for my wife and I. The house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac in a gated community. The house was perfect for us, big enough that we had space but not too big for the two of us and our dog. Following a conversation prior to our arrival the property manager made sure there was firewood at the house for use to use in the cozy fireplace and fire pit outside. I needed to get in touch with the owner once during our stay and he was quick to respond and assist me with what I needed. I highly recommend staying here!!

Cozy and Clean

Host was great. Took 4 teenage boys for grad/bday celebration they had a blast. 4 days wasn't enough to explore everything and enjoy all the amenities. LOVED that we were able to take our dogs. Cleaning was best I've seen so far in similar areas. Wish we had a little more space and/or more seating, it was hard for the 6 of us to be in any one room comfortably. There were a few things that needed fixing in the house but nothing major and the outside could be better maintained but overall we would definitely stay again if he'd have us.

Warning!!!

Although house inside is pretty clean, but it does need a lot of TLC. Do yourself a favor and document everything that is broken or not working. We were blamed (and had to pay) that we broke the door, that was clearly separated due to wear and tear, we could barely open the door during our stay. The backyard of the house is completely unusable, furniture is very old and dirty, advertised gazebo is all rotten and chairs are rusty and have no pillows. Pots and pans were all scratched up. In addition, host did not notify us that communities fees are only valid for a month, so we had to pay double for our cars and registration. Too much stress, I am not sure it was worth it.

Cool summer getaway

We very much enjoyed our time here. The house has plenty of space, and it was very nice to enjoy meals out on the large deck. The owner kept in touch to make sure things were fine. Be sure to pay attention to the VRBO emails so you don't get surprised by the community fees. We had an issue with some extra cleaning charges, but it was resolved after a bit of communication with the owner. The property has a wooded ahead behind the house with a very natural feel. Deer often pass through, and once we saw a small fox trot by. If you put seeds in the bird feeder, you'll see a variety of birds visit (and squirrels, of course). A note about the Arrowhead community: it's a gated community that is supported by the community fees. It offers several amenities, including multiple swimming pools, beaches, and a community lodge. You'll need to take garbage and recycling to the center near the gate, and you'll have to drive 15-25 minutes away to shop. Some deliveries, like Amazon, are possible, but others are not (unless you meet them at the gate), so check first. But it's a quiet, peaceful place to spend summers, and it's typically much cooler than NYC. There are many regular visitors who come every summer, and you can also find Facebook groups for it.

Really nice pretty house, super cozy and home like. One flaw was the water damage especially in the master suite and the location. You cannot order take out, Uber eats or insta cart etc wish that was disclosed beforehand. Overall really enjoyed we just wish we had more time to prepare

Family vacation getaway

We enjoyed the spacious well equiped accommodations at 278 Depuy Drive during our stay for our family vacation.. You will find the house is close to swimming hiking and especially the community center where theres a lot to do as well as other nearby attractions. My grandson loved especially the back family room were he set up his gaming area which made it enjoyable to have him very happy. Bring your bags and just enjoy.

The house was perfect and comfortable. Rooms and bathrooms were roomy and enjoyed the jacuzzi. John was quick to respond to questions. Around the house was spacious enough for our pet. There was a deck and fire pit and charcoal grill and small gas grill and kayak. We were 5 mins walk from the pool. The complex itself is very nice including other pools and beaches with picnic tables. There was a convenient deli close to the main office.

Nice property in a quiet neighborhood

Very nice home. It was very clean. Had no issues at all. Some minor things here and there like some minor water stains on the ceiling. But nothing that a little paint could not touch up. Great Internet connection, all the TVs were smart TVs which helped on a very rainy weekend. The Pinewood Deli around the corner was excellent. Easy to get in with key code door. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Relaxing weekend

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights with my son and brother. The place is amazing. The owners were extremely responsive to any questions we had. The place was great with an indoor fire place and outdoor fire pit, covered gazebo and a shed to store out bikes. Everting was perfect. The inside is cozy and warm. Our tiny Morkie loved the place and instantly fell at home. We went in the spring but there is a pool right down the road in the summer and the beaches on the lake were nice. Will visit again.

Misrepresentation of property

We were charged an amenity fee of about 10 percent of the rental amount which was not clearly revealed in the listing. Initially it was even double that but I negotiated it down. We were never informed beforehand that we would have to tow our own garbage a 30 minutes back and forth experience as this was the way the property owner preferred to arrange it. Some owners of Arrowhead community property pay for garbage removal. We were informed that there was a leak from the roof, but since it was never fixed and we hit a rainy patch the roof was leaking into one roof and we had to put pans to catch it. The dishwasher had a completely incredible life if it’s own refusing to work when we tried to turn it on. When we called the owner John to see if he could help us, he told us he is busy with his family and may get back to us tomorrow as there are a few tricks we should know. He never did and we eventually figured out that we need to turn the breakers on and off to make it work. Incredible! The barbecue unit was in complete disarray and dirty and unlike the previous great property we stayed at at Penn Estates where we used it daily, we never used it in 2 months. We didn’t feel like calling the owner as he explained that he is a big boss and owner of a tech company in NY and simply doesn’t have time for our problems. Additionally, the community has a vicious public safety force that basically hides in bushes trying to catch you speeding. I got a ticket for doing 37 in a 25 miles zone, when I was clearly doing 26 as it was showing on my speedometer. Not a very friendly welcome in the community. The other incredibly bad taste from all this was that when we had housecleaning company come in, they simply wouldn’t let them in. There is a vicious aura to the whole management team there. Not recommended either for the community or for the owner!

Warm, Spacious, Comfy Nice House

Very nice. Heat works great. John is a nice guy who responds promptly. One thing that I didn't like was that he waited until right before check in to mention that the Sunroom leaks when it rains. That should have been disclosed before we booked and paid. Also, it said it had a washer,but,when we went to use it, we couldn't. There was no knob! We tried using pliers to turn it and pull,but, it still didn't work. John lives all the way in N.Y.so I don't really blame him,but, maybe he should keep a closer eye on whoever takes care of the house and visit it more often. Still a nice place and thumbs up for having a dishwasher.
