Charming Mid C designed waterfront cottage for rent in the Kawarthas.

This two bedroom cottage is located on a very quiet lake in the Kawarthas. The lake is beautiful and pristine with lots of fabulous swimming , boating or just relaxing on the deck or dock available. It sleeps 5 or 6 people comfortably with a full kitchen, living room and sunscreened porch. The views from all are spectacular. It is kid friendly as well as pet friendly.
It is located about 2.5 hours from Toronto with Bancroft being the closest town.
The mid century style has been accentuated which adds to its charm.

Hi There, I am an artist and interior designer. This cottage is very special to me as it is in the Canadian Shield which I love. ( I grew up in Ottawa). Lake Mephisto is magnificent. I chose it for the views, peaceful serenity and wonderful swimming. As an artist I am always exploring my next painting. The possiblities are endless. Most of the art at the cottage is mine and what I have painted of the area.
I find the trails, roads and paths wonderful for biking and running. I also love exploring the lake , its islands and fabulous swimming, painting and picnicing spots.
The cottage is less than 100 feet from the water. It is so relaxing to sit and read, view or sketch.
This is a real cottage with a relaxed and warm atmosphere.
As a designer I have built upon this cottage's mid century roots furnishing it with mid century furniture, accessories etc.

Why they chose this property

This property is very serene and relaxing. It is 21/2 hours from Toronto or Ottawa. Exploring the country around it lots of fun but often just " being ' at the cottage is the best. If you are looking for a relaxing, summer time this is a fabulous spot.

What makes this property unique

I would have to say that the front deck is fabulous. The view to the lake, listening to the loons or drifting in the quiet is wonderful. I hope that you find it and enjoy this special spot.
