About this property

Historic Chestnut St. home with private garden, and inviting front porch

Charming New England Farmhouse built in 1810 on Historic Chestnut St., one block from Laite Beach. Within walking distance of restaurants, shops, parks, library and harbor.

The home sits on half an acre of gardens with woods and open space adjacent. This house has surprising privacy for a village home on Chestnut St., and is within walking distance of both the beach and town.
The master suit is on the ground floor and looks out towards the garden. The 2 additional bedrooms are on the second floor and share a family bath. Both upstairs bedrooms have seasonal views of the ocean. The main level is open plan with plenty of space and nooks to relax in.

The front porch will beckon you for your morning coffee and the patio at the rear is perfect for lunch and evening dining. There is also a large dinning table for family dining.

Help yourself to home grown fruits and vegetables. Depending on the time of year, we will have fresh strawberries and blueberries, peas, beans, lettuce and cucumbers and other produce that varies year to year. Pick your salad from the garden , grab a lobster from the fish market and fire up the grill!

Off street parking is available for 2/3 cars.
Crib or pack and play are available for small children.
Please no pets, service dogs considered at an addition charge.

Beautiful house in great location
This house is in a quiet, established neighborhood, a 10-minute walk to downtown Camden, and just one block from a lovely little beach/park. It's perfect for long walks on quiet streets along the harbor. It also has a spacious, secluded patio in back facing a garden and woods, with a top-of-line gas grill. The kitchen has everything you need, and large front-loading washer/dryer in the mudroom on first floor are very handy. We enjoyed our stay. DB, Virginia.

Lovely visit in Camden!
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely family home on a historic street in Camden. Loved having morning coffee on the front porch and a glass of wine in the peaceful backyard garden each evening. Ally, the owner, could not have been more helpful or kind with small touches to welcome us and suggestions of things to do in the area and restaurant recommendations. The home was close enough to to walk to to scenic harbor town or to go the other way and enjoy a picturesque run or walk in the country, with stunning views of Penobscot Bay almost everywhere you turned. It was a most memorable vacation! So glad we found this place! Thank you!
