About this property

Legal Beech Bum Mountain Legal Retreat

Located in the heart of the magnificent Beech Mountain, this 2 bedroom with loft attracts the active vacationer as well as those seeking a relaxed get-away. The house has beautiful scenic views from the deck in the back of the house. The fireplace and quaint cottage feel provide a wonderful retreat. The amenities to the club (which are available in season) must be transferred to the guest by the owner. The Owner maintains the Sports Membership. For $300.00 for 30 days, first time guests have unlimited use of the clay tennis court, the pickle ball court, the swimming pool, recreation center and fitness center. The Owner must transfer the membership to the guest.
Additionally, guests can play as they go at the 18 hole Willard Byrd golf course, and have use of the club dining room. Our fitness center also has a separate cardio room with all new state of the art equipment (tread mills, spin bikes, stair master, rowing machine, etc. ) All of the equipment in the fitness and cardio center was installed in April, 2024. Yoga and stretch and tone classes are also held week days at the fitness center.
Beech Mountain is located 5500 feet above sea level, and is walking distance to Ski Beech Mountain and 5 minutes from Sugar Mountain. There is fine dining in casual restaurants as well as shopping.
There is an additional guest fee per stay of $50.00 if there are more than 6 guests. There is also a non-refundable $200.00 pet deposit. One one small dog is permitted.
Legal Beech Bum has a nice, new clean look for 2024. The interior was painted and updated. Come relax and enjoy my paradise! The landscape beauty and wildlife surround you during any season of the year. Quite often, there are more deer than people!

Our second stay at this ideal location to Beech Mountian resort. We walk to and from the resort to ski, tube, grab coffee at the coffee shop and dinner at the village. We appreciate dodging the traffic and parking chaos, especially during a busy holiday weekend. Thanks for another great stay!

Our stay at the Legal Beech Bum Mountain cabin was the perfect little getaway for me and my wife. It was clean, cozy, and well furnished. Our favorite part was just sitting on the patio with a cup of coffee and watching the falling leaves.

We had a great ski trip at this cabin. The location is truly excellent—you can't beat being on the slopes in just 5 minutes. The cabin itself was a nice size for the three of us.A couple of notes for future guests: the kitchen could use a small update, and the bedding was quite basic; the synthetic sheets weren't the most comfortable for a good night's sleep after skiing. It would also be a great addition to have a grill outside for evenings in.But overall, the fantastic location really makes this place. For easy slope access, it's a very good choice.

White Christmas!

This was simply perfect and cozy. We had an amazing stay. The place was beautiful and clean and overall small enough for that cozy feeling but big enough for 3 adults and 3 kids. We saw snow and the trees were all covered and the place was quiet but close to everything we needed. Definitely would rent this place again.

MLK weekend Ski awesome

We were so blessed have great trip. The parking isn’t great. we left our vehicles at the Beech Mnt ski resort bc you need 4 wheel drive if it snows it did snow a lot. Location was awesome bc we could walk to skiing. If you stay here snap photo lock box number bc your internet won’t work wo wifi.
