We had a wonderful stay! Laura was an amazing host, and the place was so comfortable, and in the perfect location. We were able to walk everywhere, which made our trip so easy and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
Perfect location! Great host. Very charming house. Very quiet, too. One of the most comfortable beds we have slept in while traveling. Communicating with Laura was super easy and she was very responsive. We appreciated the Halloween decorations that were put up outside and around the unit. We’d definitely stay there again.

Hi Joe! It was so lovely to host you for an extended stay in my first floor apartment called the Swiss suite! You were the ideal guest. Great communication and many kind words, including emptying the dehumidifier which is above and beyond. We loved having you and hope to see you again.
Very clean and comfortable apartment right in the heart of Jim Thorpe. It was a perfect location to walk through town, explore the river trail, and enjoy the area. It met all our expectations and was perfect for our weekend getaway.
Laura is a great host. The location was perfect, a 5 minute walk from downtown Jim Thorpe. The designated parking was a huge bonus. The unit itself is a really nice unit. The ability to have a dog there is fantastic but beware, grass is scarce which can be a downer for your dog.

Thx Chris and yes, grass is not abundant and thankfully in almost every other way—Jim Thorpe is dog friendly. I love that I can take my dog on the trolley tour or the tourist train. Also, there are so many dogs in Jim Thorpe that your dog does find a place to go when they want to mark where another dog has been lol. And the coffee shop m—Magical Potions allows your pup inside. Hope to see you again.
The Swiss Suite on Broadway was welcoming and cozy. The property was accurately described and nearby to the opera house, jail, dining, and shops- perfect for our girls’ weekend. We enjoyed our visit!

Sarah was a wonderful guest and I was happy to host her. Highly recommend
The Swiss Suite was awesome...great location, easy parking, and even better accommodations. My family will definitely recommend this Vrbo to friends and look forward to staying there in the future.
Great location although parking is about a half mile away.

Jim Thorpe was originally a “horse and buggy” town which means limited driveways as well as limited on street parking. Now the town has zoned/designated street parking for local residents only.
My parking is, according to google maps, a 1-min. Drive/ .3 miles from the lodging (not .5 miles).
This guest was provided an additional parking pass which is also a rare amenity in Jim Thorpe. Having a place to safely park your car and walk almost everywhere in Jim Thorpe—that is what is most requested with me listing. Location, spacious and clean + parking.
The overall comfort level of this property did not match the premium price we paid. Most notably, the sofa was not the one pictured in the Vrbo listing; instead of the beautiful chaise lounge shown in the photos, we were left with an old, plain, completely worn-out sofa that was highly uncomfortable. The mattress was also in poor condition, featuring a major sag that left a huge hole when lying down, requiring a pillow just to fill the void. While we did not request maintenance during our stay to avoid disruptions with our small dog, we reached out to the host immediately after checking out. The host acknowledged the sofa needed to be replaced but refused to offer any compensation for the lack of basic comfort and misleading listing. I have officially reported this property's listing inaccuracy to Vrbo. Future guests should be aware that the current quality of the furniture does not reflect the photos or the high rental rate.

Before arrival, you asked numerous questions, which I answered. During your three-night stay, you texted that everything was perfect. When we met in person, you again expressed satisfaction and raised no concerns.
Almost immediately after departure, however, you sent 25 back-to-back text messages, repeatedly requesting money back. Your review acknowledges that you chose not to report your concerns during the stay. That prevented me from inspecting the furniture or addressing your discomfort while you were here.
The sofa differed from the listing photograph, and I acknowledge that discrepancy. However, my comment that I might upgrade it was not an acknowledgment that it was worn out or unusable.
Each guest receives a bath towel, hand towel, and washcloth, with an additional hand towel in the bathroom. Extra towels were also available in the back bedroom. Had you asked, I could have directed you to them immediately; washing towels every night was unnecessary.
I stay in Jim Thorpe throughout October specifically to address guest needs during this busy season. I was nearby and available, but you chose to never make me aware of any problem.
My property has over 400 reviews averaging 4.95 stars. Guests who stayed this past weekend also gave positive feedback across every area of the apartment.
You booked during fall foliage festival season, when rates are higher. Nevertheless, you were entitled to a comfortable stay, and I was ready to address any concerns.
What I dispute is the suggestion that I disregarded your comfort. You repeatedly told me everything was perfect while you were here. Declining your requests for money after departure does not mean I refused to help during your stay.
We stayed for the weekend to enjoy Jim Thorpe. This place was above my expectations. It was convenient to everything we wanted to do. We parked the truck and just walked everywhere, dining, drinks, brewery, dinner, entertainment, shopping, train ride and church. Three coffee shops in the next block down. I was so happy to have a place so clean and secure. Thoughfully decorated for Halloween. So cute! Super easy to check in and check out. Host was flexible and very responsive. Would definitely stay again when we come back to Jim Thorpe. Recommended 5 stars!
Overall very good and we had a nice stay. The bed was super comfortable. We're experienced with B&B's, and in most respects this property was very good. Nice old building in fantastic location with all the amenities you'd expect; plus dog-friendly...which we really appreciated. We typically cook some meals in the room, and this property was well suited for that. Shower/tub were very good.
The one critique is that for the price (this property is on the expensive-side), the heat in the room was not good (we stayed during the fall so it was getting cold at night). The suite has an old steam-radiator design but the room itself doesn't have any controls; so it's either "on" or "off" and is controlled by the property manager for the entire building. So we were either too hot or too cold, and were using the AC and opening windows to cool-down when it got too hot. We had to contact the manager several times to request the heat be turned on or off. This is simply not appropriate for an expensive stay.

Unfortunately, this was the first night of the season where I had to turn on the heat and so the weekend was very cold and then the weekend got warmer.
It’s on my priority list to get individual HVACs for each apartment in the building. Unfortunately, it’s hard to find people to do that work in this area. It will be a game changer for myself because I stay on the second floor.
And anyone who has stayed in an old Victorian house or an old building knows that, the Charm and the frustration is that it’s either too hot or too cold with steam radiators. Whether you have control over them or not.
