Great views of the New River close to Savannah and Hilton Head.
The quaint flat is 2100 sq. ft. and well appointed with vaulted ceilings and spacious, comfortable rooms with plenty of windows to capture the view. The beds are very comfortable also. I have a playpen and seat with a tray for your baby to eat at the table. Also, children’s toys, books and games for everyone. The house is in a very safe rural setting. It's close to the highway so it is loud outside but the inside is pretty well insulated from sound. It is an easy drive to Savannah, 15 minutes, Bluffton 15 minutes or HHI, 30 minutes and right on the river so you can fish from the porch. There are some poles and other equipment out there but I don’t maintain it. People are always getting the line all tangled up and I’m not the best fisher lady. You are welcome to use that or bring your own and the fish love any type of meat like hotdogs or leftovers. Speaking of leftovers, you’re welcome to throw them in the river for the turtles and fish or feed them to the chickens. Feel free to leave your leftovers in the refrigerator and I would be happy to feed them to the chickens. The main house is elevated, completely separate and private with a full kitchen, large living room and formal dining room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. You will even have your own entrance and driveway. I do a very thorough, deep clean between guests. The home also has an i-wave air purifier installed in the air handler that kills bacteria, viruses, mold and other pollutants. There are 6 decks to relax and visit, sleep, sun, dine, fish or swim. There are lots of birds, lizards, skinks, fish, turtles and an occasional alligator. Take a stroll into the side yard and sit in the gazebo or make a fire in the fire pit. You may use my 2 kayaks to explore the beautiful river. They are flat, 3 seats with a 500 lb weight limit. You have to go when the tide is up. I will be happy to help with them. They are in the boathouse in the backyard. The driveway will hold up to 5 cars and is 75 feet long. A great location close to HWY 95, 12 miles from downtown Savannah, 14 miles from the airport, 6 miles to Savannah National Wildlife Refuge, 7 miles to Historic Bluffton, 15 miles to beaches of Hilton Head and 20 miles to Historic Beaufort and Paris Island. I live on the ground level and maintain the property. The washer and dryer are in the garage. Unfortunately, if you need to use them, because of their location, you will have to ask for access to them or arrange a time for me to do your laundry. We have 2 very small friendly dogs that do bark their greetings, 9 chickens in the back yard and two friendly cats that stay outside. No animals go upstairs for people with sensitivities to pets. There is a new park about 2 miles away. There is a really cool playground for kids to play on and there’s a little area to have a little get together and bathrooms and a walking trail. They’re fixing up this big red barn for weddings. There’s a large Publix shopping center at May River Crossing with an ice cream shop, a liquor store, Flat bread grill and bar. Across the street from Publix there’s a breakfast place called Eggs Up and New York butcher shop and some other shops and restaurants. Also around that circle is a Parker‘s gas and convenience store and Wendy’s. So just 2 miles away there’s lots to do and eat. Bluffton Cinemark is at Buckwalter Place about 7 miles from here and there’s an Outback, One Hot Mama’s, a Mexican restaurant and others. There are two Tanger outlet malls in Bluffton with Texas roadhouse and Olive Garden in front and a Ross, Marshalls, Old Navy, off of Highway 278. So many restaurants and shops nearby.

Overall, the property was excellent. The interior was very clean, organized and had most all amenities for the stay. The exterior view was awesome, just like the pictures. Even though the weather was great, we didn't spend much time outside due to pool work going on and due to the pollen, I would recommend pressure washing the chairs and tables prior to guests' arrival. We all agreed that we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Very clean beautiful home..stayed on top floor..had two separate sun room areas..husband enjoyed fishing in the river right off the back deck..nice clean pool area..views were stunning

The house itself was clean, comfortable, spacious, and a great location. But unfortunately the exterior was significantly different from what was represented in the VRBO listing photos. Our biggest concern was the condition and safety of the outdoor areas. The listing showed a completed pool deck with fencing/railings. In reality, the pool area appeared unfinished, with exposed 2x4 framing, an incomplete deck, and no railing. The pool is directly beside the river, where alligators are present, so the lack of a proper barrier was concerning. There were areas where someone could potentially fall through the decking. With children, this would have been a serious safety concern. The siding near the pool was unfinished. The upstairs patio had artificial turf covering portions of the deck, and when it was accidentally moved, we discovered severely deteriorated/rotted wood underneath. The outdoor kitchen was another major discrepancy. The listing showed a functioning grill and sink, but in reality the equipment was heavily rusted, neither worked, and the sink was not connected to plumbing. We had a good experience with the house & location, but the exterior amenities were not accurately represented. These were more than cosmetic differences—they were advertised amenities, maintenance, and safety hazards. I strongly recommend that the listing photos be updated to accurately reflect the current condition of the property for future guests.
Property is beautiful in a beautiful location. Our host made everything easy on us and was warm and welcoming. We were there only one night but could have easily spent the week!
We only stayed for a night but showing up and checking in was easy and the place was spotless and ready to go. Would definitely reserve again if we find ourselves in the area.

Thanks for choosing my property and being a great guest! I hope you have another occasion to stay.
The property was very clean and presented accurately in the pictures. There were cozy little touches like Christmas tree and lights that we really appreciated :)
The mid location between Hilton Head and Tybee Islands allowed for an easy drive to both locations. The house was clean, lots of things to do (fishing, swimming, listening to the noises of nature, and more), and amazing lady for a host!
We were so at home there and relaxed. Had to come back to work. You definitely need to stay here, its so close to Hilton Head, Tybee, and Savanah so much to see and do. We also had a baby gator there we named Gary!!!!!
This home and property were absolutely beautiful, and it was very well equipped with anything we possibly could have needed. The host was also very responsive when we needed to reach out about something. We especially loved the massive screened in porch and taking a night swim in the pool. We would definitely stay here again.
We only stayed at this property for one night on our way from Florida to Maryland but I wish we could have stayed longer! It was absolutely perfect for our family of 5. Beautiful home, lots of things to keep the kids busy, and lots of space. The bed in the master bedroom was phenomenal. Excellent communication with the owner. We will definitely be staying here again next year!
So much larger than you even expect from the pictures or outside. Lovely accommodation and delightful owner in regular contact! A few board games and a perfect television set up for relaxing in the evening. Outdoor living spaces were plentiful and well appointed also. Thank you for your hospitality!
The property was beautiful. First the property itself, The house was spacious and we loved the decorations. It was nice to enjoy the pool to cool off on a hot day. The kitchen included everything we needed for preparing a meal at the property. It was nice fishing from the dock, always best at high tide.
Now the location. It could not have been more convenient for the Savannah River and historic districts. Very easy to get to and only a 20-25 minute drive. Within 40 mins of Tybee island and most spots on Hilton Head. We loved our stay here and would stay again in the future.
