About Heather Delauter
A proud MD native who loves my Middletown hometown! I also love to travel! As a real estate professional and entrepreneur, I am always observing the wants and needs of clients. I treat travel no different. When traveling, I know what makes me happy ~ clean , comfy accommodations, plush beds, soft linens & towels, WI FI, cable, tasteful décor, well appointed kitchens, etc and as a host I aim to offer no less and WOW my guests. In my spare time, I am an avid boater spending time on the Chesapeake Bay in MD and in FL on the Gulf or in the Keys. Saltwater is my soul food. Beach, bay, mountains, trails, small towns ~ you name it ~ I like it! I also appreciate antiques, fine wine and breweries, good food ranging from the Cracker Barrel to fine dining, farmers markets, fairs and festivals, gardening, a cozy fire and a good book, a Jeep ride on country back roads, and last but not least quality time with family and friends. I love my career and feel blessed with the journey it has taken me on and the doors of opportunity it has opened. I believe in “supporting local” every chance I get. “Living life to the fullest” every day is my motto. What can I say ~ “Life is good...” ! I look forward to hosting you at my sweet cabin and am happy to offer area recommendations for your stay ranging from activities to dining. My response time is fast and friendly.

Why Heather Delauter chose Middletown
I have always loved cabins ~ The feeling of a simple, nostalgic, quaint homestead brings me much happiness. When this property became available for purchase in my hometown of Middletown MD , I wanted to share my love for cabins with others. After all, "Love grows best in little house just like these." Who doesn't like to hear rain on a metal roof?
What makes this Cabin unique
They simply don't make them like this anymore! This cabin is original and restored to perfection. The beauty of the logs and beams is breathtaking. Everything about the property brings peace and tranquility. Located on a side street in small town USA. It's picture perfect!

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. Design and little details of the space was beautifully done. Lots of activities and restaurants within 20 min away. Not very secluded from other houses though. Overall, great weekend getaway!
Charming & cozy!
Heather obviously put a lot of work into making this cabin feel comfortable from the moment you walk in! I think the worst part was that because we checked in super late (which was an easy process) and stayed only one night, we hardly got to hang out and enjoy the space to its fullest. We grabbed breakfast at the Main Cup, which is within walking distance.
There's a curtain, not a door, for the bathroom. It wasn't a problem for us, but it was unexpected and others may prefer more privacy in the bathroom.
mice in the ceiling
everything ok.... little pricy considering mice or a squirrel which I think it was several mice playing all night long above your bed
in the attic or area between bedroom ceiling and roof.will keep you up all night long.
Cozy, peaceful retreat
My stay was absolutely what I needed. The cabin was cozy, beautifully decorated and peaceful. I was able to truly relax and got some great sleep in the bedroom loft. It's close to a state park, which means I was only a few short miles from where I was able to run and hike. It was within walking distance of a couple of restaurants, but still quiet. I would definitely stay here again and have already recommended to others.
Lovely cabin, but quirky
This property was beautiful, clean and the bed was so very cozy. The check-in process was a breeze, and when we had a problem starting the gas fireplace, Heather quickly responded by sending help over to light the pilot. The house itself is as lovely as the pictures make it look, although the pictures make it seem a bit larger than it is in person, but that could just be my perception.
The cabin was charming but quirky; the staircase to the loft area was a little more challenging than it needed to be, which could simply be resolved with the addition of a handrail., although it did have handles mounted along the wall to help. The listing states that the loft area is not for children for this reason, so the listing is accurate there. The other thing we found disconcerting was that the loft area floor was clearly slanted, making you feel like you were walking up and downhill slightly as you walked around the room. If you are sensitive to such things, as my husband and I apparently are, this detracts from the overall stay. If not, you will find it just another charming detail of this lovely little cabin.
Very charming cabin outside Middletown. Cozy and clean. I do wish windows had some blinds as we were hoping to sleep in longer. Also, due to its charm we were envisioning this in the woods, but FYI there are neighbors on either side, not a problem just not what we were expecting. Overall a unique and cozy spot to spend a weekend.
Hi Jessica ~ thank you for your feedback. Custom blinds in the bed and bath are on the list of coming soon updates. The cabin is def not located in the woods and why I have always clearly tried to state that this is a historic cabin located in the heart of Middletown close to many amenities in the description not to mislead anyone. Thank you for your stay.
