Did a small girls night here and we had the best time! Out there and quiet for a get away and plenty to do inside for colder weather we loved the bookshelf full of board games and books and the piano to tinker around on! The gas fireplace kept the whole place cranking with heat no problems Definitely would stay here again!
This cabin is spectacular! Very clean and quiet property with lots of amenities. A lot of care was put into this property and it shows. Perfect for a family getaway to see the Appellation trail, Antietam and other historical sites in the area. Lisa an A host
very private rustic cabin. bordered be Antietam creek (creek access not so easy though). great acoustics! used to look forward to visiting Dan's Tavern in Boonsboro, which is nearby, but it was closed down by some bigots.

The room was very clean, easy to find, great view. Over all , we throughly enjoyed our stay
This is my familys second time staying at Lisa's property. Each time the cabin has been clean, well stocked, and no issues whatsoever. Lisa is very easy to communicate with and the property itself is special. From the relaxation under the canopy of trees, to the pool and creek access, there is plenty for a family to do. We look forward to our next annual trip!

Cool even with no AC. Key is to open windows at night let the coolness in, Close windows and coverings during daytime. Fans on continuously to circulate the air… Chefs kiss!!
We were visiting with family in Boonsboro and arrived late in the evening and left by 9am, but everything was there that we would have needed for a longer stay, which we have planned for Thanksgiving. Kitchen was very well equipped, the space was inviting, the beds were comfy and the view out the back was great, Looking forward to our return!
Stayed one night
Would be a cool place to explore more

We were extremely happy with our stay. The perfect get away! And the fact that everything is supplied for you--all you have to do is bring your clothes! We were amazed at the size of the cabin. Very roomy.
We enjoyed the property very much everything was well organized, very equipped it was great even though it had no air conditioning that was the down side
We stayed one night and didn’t do anything besides sleep since we arrived late and left early. The kitchen was well equipped , though we didn’t cook. Very peaceful with a nice view of the creek. It would be really lovely in the summer.
Enjoyed our stay. Quiet & comfortable getaway. Grounds need a little attention around pool & firepit. Nice access to creek and close to historic sites. Owner provides a lot of helpful information. Clean & cozy.
My sons and I spent 5 nights in this spacious cabin in the woods. It was a great spot for visiting surrounding Civil War locations and the local towns. Being in the woods and so close to Antietam Creek made the experiences even more memorable. Access and communications were timely and easy. Really a great choice!
The charm of this cabin is the selling point for me. This was our 2nd stay and we were not disappointed. The canopy in the woods kept us cool despite no a/c in the cabin. It was completely comfortable. The pool is private and perfect for a summer weekend getaway. The owner is very accommodating and respectful. We will be going back every year that we can!
The location and property is AMAZING! You feel like you are on a mountain cabin in the Canadian wilderness, but you are still in Maryland! Totally secluded. WiFi is strong. Property is as described. Only feedback is the cabin was FREEZING cold, and guest may want to consider bringing an extra space heater. It took most of the night to hear up.

I wish you had reached out to me regarding the heat so I could have reminded you where to find the dial for the baseboard heaters in the main area of the cabin (check-in instructions bullet 5). Each bedroom also has baseboard heaters. I use the cabin throughout the winter and it takes about 20 minutes to heat up, to the point that I need to turn off the baseboard heaters and only use the Franklin gas stove which emits 34,000 BTUs for 1500 square feet. I hope you can return to the cabin in the summer and enjoy the pool or floating down Antietam Creek.
