Just a perfect location. Beautiful views. Wonderfully laid out and decorated A-Frame. Owner very much involved and helpful. We truly enjoyed our peaceful stay. Will most definitely stay again. Thank you.
From the moment our reservation was confirmed, owner Ken was responsive to our questions. He gave us numerous tips about visiting the area attractions including some we were unaware of. The cabin had everything we needed. We would gladly recommend that family and friends stay here.

The cabin was perfect for our trip to Glacier National Park! The owners are very friendly and were so helpful with making sure we had everything we needed for a safe and comfortable trip.
The A-Frame was perfect! Not only because of the cleanliness, closeness to St. Mary, Many Glacier, and Two Medicine entrances, peacefulness, and sunsets, but mainly because of the great owners! Anything you need to know about the area and hiking, they have the answers and are the absolute friendliest people. Thank you Kenneth and Gena for sharing your slice of heaven with us and all you did for us while we were visiting!
Wonderful time! Hosts Ken & Gena are absolutely lovely! Great tips on hiked & places to go/eat etc! Picturesque views & the Hikers Retreat had everything we needed & more! We will be back!

Ken and Gena have made his little A-frame your home away from home. Check in is easy, extremely clean, nicely decorated, stocked with everything you need including robe and slippers. We will definitely stay again when we are back in the area.

This sweet little A frame is bigger than it looks. Ken and Gena are so hospitable and they’re full of great hiking recommendations. They made sure we had everything we needed and more. Located on the East side, it’s much less crowded than the west side which is rather refreshing! It’s just 20 minutes to the St Mary Entrance! We would absolutely stay here again!
We loved our stay at the Hikers Retreat. The hosts are exceptionally helpful, kind and knowledgeable of the local area. The home was very well equipped and comfortable. The location is perfect with quick access to the St Mary entrance and close proximity to Many Glacier, Two Medicine and even Waterton in Canada. We hope to come back soon and stay again!
Location is perfect for access to multiple parts of Glacier National Park. The hosts went above and beyond and were lovely to talk to. Definitely planning on returning

Megan I am glad you enjoyed your stay. We enjoyed meeting you and look forward to having you stay with us again.
Perfect for two after hiking in the park and easy access to east side entrances. Great retreat with comforts of home. Appreciated owner’s knowledge and even brought my fiancé ice packs/heat pack for aching knees!
This is a perfect location and a perfect rental. Ken and Gena were amazing and made us feel like family. The cabin is perfect and they have thought of everything. We would definitely return sometime and bring our kids too!

It is a quiet location on the quieter side of Glacier. Not far from Canadian border. The host let us know the door was unlocked. Kitchen was just fine for our needs. We eat simply and did not plan on any big meals. 2 burner cooktop and a microwave. The host was very friendly and helpful. Gave us good tips about where to go.
Excellent property, perfectly situated for the world class hiking trails of Glacier. Owners Ken and Gena are super friendly and helpful. Very well stocked with everything we needed. Will definitely return for our next Glacier trip.
We enjoyed our stay at the little cabin. Very clean and all the amenities you need. They thought of everything. Enjoyed the to go coffee cups for our early morning hikes. Bed was very comfortable!!! Property owners were super sweet and very helpful.

We live in Jacksonville, Florida during the winter months and spend the summers at Duck Lake, Mt near Glacier National Park. We fell in love with this area when we first visited in the mid-1990s and were fortunate to buy property at Duck Lake in 2005. In 2017, we started renovations on our A-frame cabin and in 2019 had our first guests. We were unable to open in 2020 due to covid-19 and are thrilled to be back open for the 2021 season.
We enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, biking (mainly Ken), rafting, and horseback riding. It is especially enjoyable taking hikes in the backcountry of GNP when the weather is ideal, and the popular trails are busy. We also frequent the local performing art events and especially enjoy watching the enthusiasm of the young artists.
Ken is a retired Naval Officer and Networking Technology Professor and has visited and lived in several countries in the orient. Gena has an MBA, spent a year working in Mexico City with Arthur Anderson Accounting firm before she found her calling as a Computer Information Systems Professor where she worked until she recently retired (and where she met Ken).
We enjoy meeting our guests and sharing our knowledge of the area with them.
We have two small chihuahuas, Ruby and Teka, who love to be held and petted and one shy cat, Coco.
Why they chose this property
We chose this property because it was close to the Many Glacier and St Mary entrances to the park. It is very quiet away from the busy tourist areas outside the gates of Glacier. The main thing that attracted us about this location is the panoramic views of the mountains from our lot.
