Bear Creek Cabin 1 - 2 bed 2 bath, sleeps 6

This 2019 built, gorgeous 1,040 square ft log cabin, is located in the old mining town of Jardine. Jardine is 5 - 6 miles up a county maintained dirt road from Gardiner, Montana, the original entrance to Yellowstone! The cabin, along with our other three cabins, sits on just over 12 acres of property that borders national forest land.

The old Jardine mine site is part of the beautiful and unique mountain view, as well as being able to see and hear Bear Creek from your back patio! There are also great hiking trails just a short walk from the front door!

If you are looking for a mountain get-away to be able to escape from the crowds after a busy day of activity in the park, then this is the perfect place for you!

*2 big bathrooms with shower (no tub)
*linens & towels
*picnic table and propane grill on the deck (propane provided)

*Only VERIZON cell service works in this area. Other carriers will require a drive to Gardiner for phone calls.

Cabin was very clean and comfortable. My husband and I shared one king bed, my daughter the other and my son slept on the pull out couch. Everyone slept very well. We especially enjoyed the front and back decks and the sound of the creek behind the cabin. Very easy to check in and out. We had Verizon and used the wifi and had no problems with communication.

A peaceful getaway

We loved this cabin. It was very well stocked with the essentials. Super clean and well maintained. Very comfortable beds. Beautiful, quiet location with the relaxing sound of rushing water in the creek behind the property. Hosts were very accommodating, responsive, and helpful.

Lovely cabin right near Yellowstone

We absolutely loved this cabin. It was perfect for 2 couples to stay in. The place was spotless. There is a stream behind it so you can hear the water flowing thru it. Location is very near town. We enjoy the drive up to the cabin because we always saw wildlife.

Beautiful cabin with room for family of 5. Road leading up to cabin is a little rough but experienced driver easily able to handle. We truly enjoyed our stay in this little piece of heaven near Yellowstone!

Very clean. Great amenities with a washer and drier. Super comfy beds and pull out couch! Some of the appliances in the kitchen were nicer than my own! Beautiful accommodations and we were greeted with a deer and her fawn.

A Yellowstone Gem away from the crowds

This is a beautiful property in an area away from the Yellowstone crowds yet with easy access to the park . The road from Gardener to Jardine is a slight challenge but definately worth the drive to leave the crowds behind. The property sits right along beautiful Bear Creek. It was clean, cozy, comfortable and gave a wonderful sense of home. The property managers Andrew and Julie are wonderful - personable and very attentive. We are looking forward to our next stay here.

Lovely cabin

Overall, the cabin was comfortable and pleasant. I did find that there could have been more kitchen items, such as serving platters, dishes and silverware. The coffee pot didn't work, and the television was difficult to figure out. The managers were responsive and took care of both issues in a timely manner. Otherwise, we had a very nice stay at the cabin.

Cozy ( & Classy ) Cabin

As we prepped for our first trip to Yellowstone, there was a lot of research and time spent selecting a home base. My husband, myself and 3 ( mostly adult) children all agreed this location was ideal. We loved the quality and thoughtful design of the cabin. There were a few extra unexpected highlights, we appreciated the bonus storage laundry room and utility room! They offer a nice place to keep luggage you don’t want to see during the stay & we returned home with clean clothes! The deck and porch both relaxing spots to spend time alone or together. My daughter did devotions in the morning creek side and it was also nice for evening meals and games. There was a fire ban during our stay (understandably) so we didn’t have campfires. The stove type heater inside helped to made up for that :) We scheduled a horseback fishing trip w Hellsaroaring which was one of the many highlights of the vacation, it’s just up the other side of mountain! We took multiple hikes from the cabin up the Bear creek. There were MANY birds to watch adjacent to the property dining on the ripe natural berries! This location would be ideal for couples wanting a romantic trip, family vaca and also would recommend for multi friends and fam if you rented out the other two cabins! The only thing that would have improved our stay is one more ‘comfy’ chair in the living area space. The one couch and chair seat 4 well but we had 5 and one of us always on the floor. Beyond that, the bear creek cabin gets full ⭐️rating and we are all grateful for our unforgettable time there! No hesitation about staying again one day :)

One of the nicest cabins we’ve ever stayed in. From decorating to amnesties, couldn’t ask for more. Location was perfect. Close to town but 4 plus miles up a secluded road up the mountain. Was the perfect distance from town, right outside the National Park gate. We ate out some nights and stayed in cooked others. Can’t say enough good things about this property. We will definitely be staying here again when back in the area.

While a little off the beaten path, that was perfect for me. The house was beautiful. There was no noise at all, except the creek when i was outside. About 15 minutes and you are in the park. Perfect!!

Liked cleanliness, check-in, communication, location and accuracy of listing. Kitchen was modern and had everything that we needed for our stay. Washer and dryer worked out wonderfully. Enjoyed the covered porches and the sound of the creek. Beds were comfortable. Overall, very well appointed and would highly recommend. Stayed 4 nights July 2025.
