Grizzly Den - Above the River! Yellowstone mountain views and Air Conditioning!

The Grizzly Den is an amazing place to call home during your visit to Montana. Come play in Yellowstone and the Gardiner Basin-Paradise Valley! Rafting, horseback riding, hot springs, fishing, hiking, dining, cross county skiing, wildlife viewing, and of course Yellowstone Park is all accessible within minutes. We will help you plan a great trip! This Air Conditioned 2 bedroom home has two additional separate loft areas for adding sleeping. We are located above the banks of the Yellowstone River and less than a mile from the north entrance to Yellowstone. We are in the heart of Gardiner, MT making it an easy evening stroll to local dining and shopping; or stay back and enjoy grilling on the deck over looking the river.
The house has 18 windows facing south into the park highlighting the stunning views of 11,000 ft Electric Peak. You can literally look out the windows, or off the deck and see: elk, antelope, deer, and occasionally bears and wolves roaming the hillsides of Yellowstone. Bring your binoculars!
We are located about an hour from the Bozeman Airport.

My wife and I had a 6 night stay so we could visit Yellowstone National Park. So many things we loved about this property. Very close to the north entrance to the park, walking distance to the grocery store and restaurants, beautiful view of the Yellowstone River and mountains from the deck, very clean home, plenty of room in the home, fully stocked kitchen when we wanted to cook in, property owner was very responsive and so much more. We highly recommend this property for your next Yellowstone vacation.

We had a great time, a very relaxing and quiet stay. The narrow spiral staircase was a bit of a challenge while carrying luggage upstairs, but other than that, the place was wonderful. Our goal was to visit YNP and soak in the hot springs in Gardiner, both of which were easy to do staying here. Liza was a perfect host and very prompt with responding to my questions. This place had everything we could have needed!

This was a good property, conveniently located, well furnished, clean, and well-serviced.Parking could be a real problem, though thankfully our stay was off-season and we found secure parking close by.

Great place to stay!! We really enjoyed Gardiner and the easier access to Lamar Valley in the early dawn hours. Everything was as described. We split our family stay for Yellowstone between Gardiner and West Yellowstone and are glad we did. Different and beneficial experiences from each area.

Enjoyed our stay, place was very clean and nice. Only issues we had was going up the spiral staircase with our suitcases. The other couple we traveled with could not have gotten up there due to some mobility restrictions. Also the parking was so limited. Host was very easy to communicate with.

Can’t beat the location, walking distance to everything in town, beautiful vista of mountains and river off the back deck, and 2 min to North Entrance of YNP. Parking is a little tight but manageable, and as others have mentioned the staircase upstairs is very narrow and difficult to navigate - there is no getting a large suitcase upstairs.

Yellowstone experience

We were just at this vrbo on Yellowstone River June 23-27. We really enjoyed the deck and the sunset was beautiful!! Nice bathrooms for our group and the grandkids really liked the little sleeping areas upstairs. Walking downtown Gardiner was literally one block and fun places to shop and eat. Entrance to Yellowstone is literally two minutes away. Great stay for the price.Photo is view from our deck. Thankyou!!

Our family lived and worked in Gardiner for almost ten years. The Gardiner Basin is a magical place to explore and the community of Gardiner a treasure. We live in Bozeman now where my husband is a nurse at the hospital. We are an adventurous family who loves hiking, biking, climbing, skiing, and river life. We all love our Grizzly Den home and are so happy to share it with you! The kids love all of the nooks and mini lofts in the house and it is always dreamy overlooking the river and Electric Peak. It feels like a treehouse. Thank you for being our guest and supporting our family.
