First, the owner was extremely dedicated to service and extraordinarily helpful. Thank you for the welcome items and for your overall hospitality. The home is exactly as described in words and pictures. Everything needed is supplied for you. Beds were comfy, shower had adequate pressure and hot water did not run out. Property is secure with multiple locks, but the area is nice and safe. The location is absolutely perfect as a base for all things DDay and beyond. If we ever have the opportunity to stay here again, we will in a heartbeat. Stop looking and book this one!
Absolutely charming small town in the Normandy countryside. We enjoyed free parking, a kitchen, & a comfy living room during our stay. The location is about 20 minutes away from any dining or cafe’s, but the small town is a perfect location for accessing the entirety of Normandy beaches & D-Day memoriums. The hosts were very responsive to any issues (be sure to reach out to them if you take internet trouble!) & great at communicating.
The host was very welcoming and helpful. A beautiful house in a perfect location to see all the sites. The house was warm, cosy and contained everything we needed. I would highly recommend this property.
Great hosts...met us for check in and gave us lots of details about the house and the area. I thought there were restaurants, markets in walking distance but there was not. Luckily we had a car and it was a short drive to get to things. Great if you are looking touring DD area.
In the heart of a beautiful town, a short walk to a wonderful bakery and small grocery with a wide selection including fresh produce. Normandy landing beaches are nearby and great to be able to park in front of gite.
Fantastic stay in a charming house. Georges is an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. The house is conveniently situated for easy access to all of the historical sites. The kitchen has everything needed for a short stay. Excellent boulangerie within walking distance as well as bar and small supermarket. We had a great holiday!
I loved the charming garden courtyard entrance. Perfect for wine, cheese, and baguette! There are stairs so travel lite or leave big bags downstairs. Hosts were super communicative and responded promptly! Would book again.
The property is out of date and apparently in an unsafe area (per comments from the host). WiFi was extremely limited and could not support 2 much less 4 devices. The AC is not controlled by the guest. The host said AC would not come on until inside temperature was over 30 degrees Celsius. We asked for a lower number (24C) and the request was declined. This was unacceptable to us. The decor is a bit bizarre (e.g., red lights in a bedroom and in a bathroom - which was off the kitchen, not on the same floor as the bedrooms). While clean, the house seemed cluttered and uncomfortable. We had a five day reservation and departed after one night. We have a refund pending.

Le commentaire du voyageur précédent :
"Extremely dedicated and incredibly helpful. Thank you for the thoughtful welcome gifts and your hospitality. The house was exactly as described, with everything we needed readily available. The beds were comfortable, the shower had excellent water pressure, and there was always plenty of hot water. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, and the location was perfect for exploring the D-Day landing sites. If we return, we would not hesitate to book this house again. Look no further—book this house!"
In response to your comments, we would like to clarify a few points. The red lighting atmosphere you noticed comes from the sauna and its adjoining shower area. Regarding the Wi-Fi, we took your concern into account and promptly provided you with a secondary Wi-Fi access code to ensure you could stay connected without any inconvenience. Finally, we recommended closing the shutters during the hottest part of the day to help keep the house cool, not for security reasons.
everything was good..not crazy about the host prepared dinner .a little overpriced and not freshly prepared. The house was nice the location was great..the hosts were great and were and very accommodating. Would recommend it
Our experience at this house was exceptional. The owners pre-coordinated dinner for our first night, a wonderful seafood paella including a cheese plate, beer and wine and dessert. The house was well furnished even for a large group. Ver-Sur-Mer is centrally located amongst all the Normany D-day sites as well as Honfleur and Etretat.
Charolette and George were wonderful!
The house was perfect for the 4 of us and made for the best visit we could have imagined. We highly recommend this VRBO to anyone who.wants to visit this area.
Charming home, extremely close to lots of sights in Normandy. You cannot miss the British Memorial that is minutes away. Georges was extremely friendly and helpful. House has everything we needed. Really cutely decorated. Great outdoor space which was perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. I would highly recommend!

About the host
Hosted by Charlotte & Georges
Charlotte and George were exceptional hosts. Their house was lovely in a beautiful little village. When we got there, my kids were hungry and the restaurants were not open yet. Charlotte and George brought us food for the kids. They also gave us great recommendations for restaurants. The last night were were there, George brought over a delicious after dinner drink for us. The house is very close to the battleground beaches. We will stay there again !
Why they chose this property
Beautiful house, rustic location, great landlady who speaks little English, but who manages very well to provide for her clients. Great central location for visiting the English and Canadian Overlord beaches. Would go back there again.
