About this property
Cabin on a Lake Land O Lakes, Wisconsin
The property is surrounded by forests and trails to hike and bike. The cabin can sleep 5 and has an open concept kitchen with living and dining areas. We now have air conditioning! There is 1 bedroom with a queen bed. The living areas have1 full bed and 1 twin bed and 1 bathroom. There is parking and room for a boat and trailer. Private deck and fire pit are right next to the cabin. The Enchanted Loon B&B is next door and has a bar that seats 11 overlooking the lake. There are two large decks, swim and fishing piers shared by cabin and lodge guests. Moccasin lake is a Class A fishing lake with musky, walleye, bass and panfish of all species. Excellent for swimming and recreation. We have no public landing to place your boat, kayaks, or canoes on but there are hundreds of lakes close by. Our lake is a clear and healthy lake with no invasive species. We are concerned about invasive species getting into our lake and not allowing used rafts and floats (new out of the box is great) will help prevent their transfer. In addition, we have a fleet of aluminum boats with motors to rent for $60.00/day.

The cottage, property, lake & owners Jill, Steve, Rip & Willow were the BEST!! From the rime we arrived till the time we left we were treated like friends, they are truly the friendliest, kindest, thoughtful & loving people. The cottage was beautiful & clean, the lake was absolutely beautiful, it was so clean & clear & quiet, so very peaceful & relaxing. We are looking forward to coming again next year. It was amazing and we have new friends.
First and foremost, the owners Jill & Steve couldn’t have been more welcoming or friendly. We stayed at the small cabin next to, not attached to the lodge where smaller rooms and shared bathrooms are located. The lodge bar was a social gathering place most evenings after 5 pm and the owners will run you a bar tab if that’s your thing.
Moccasin Lake is a private lake and there aren’t many cabins on the lake. Fishing was good for smaller largemouth bass and I was told there is good walleye and crappie fishing although I caught neither species. I did see multiple Muskies and with such a small, private lake you certainly have a chance at catching one.
The good: the Lodge is beautiful and you can feel the history of it as it overlooks the lake (stunning). There is a very friendly vibe with the owners and other guests. It was easy and inexpensive to rent a fishing boat for a full or half day. DirecTV was a welcome luxury.
Other info: the lake is about 60 steps down from the cabin, so it’s a bit of a chore walking up from the dock. The Lodge has WiFi, but the cabin does not. There is an extender in the cabin that is supposed to catch the signal from the Lodge, but it never worked after multiple tries and changing its location. If you need WiFi you can simply go to the Lodge which was always open. The bathroom is small and the shower is tight. There are no closets, but there is a dresser for clothes if you don’t want to live out of your suitcase.
Jill & Steve were very accommodating and available to us. We enjoyed getting to know them and some of the other guests.
We were looking for a quiet north woods lake location for fishing, time on the water, relaxation and reading. Found exactly that! Thanks J & S!
This was a perfect cabin for 2 of us to enjoy the Northwoods and the sound of loons. The cabin and lodge are decorated with history, the dock and boats made it easy to enjoy the lake and the hosts were always friendly and helpful. Our only hitch was there wasn't wifi in the cabin despite their efforts to get it up and running. Fortunately I had enough of an AT&T signal to use my phone hotspot for work. Would stay there again regardless.
Very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful lake and lots of dock space for kayaks etc. Private lake, so no jet skis or speed boats.
We used the little paddle boat to fish. My wife got to practice her casting. And I was allowed to unhook at least a hundred bluegills and a dozen bass. And bait her hook repeatedly.
The bar is handy and has a lot of uniqueness.
Unit had some cobwebs and 3 cherry tomatoes under the stove. Not a big deal.
I would like to give Jill and Steve's place 4 and a half stars, but that isn't a option.
Thanks for the hospitality.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Jill is a great host and constantly on the move taking care of the guests. Beautiful and quiet little lake with a great little cabin. Looking forward to the next time we get to visit.
We have been visiting Jill and Steve since 1996. We always love getting up to the cabin. So much fun and away from the big city. Everyone is friendly and easy going.
I highly recommend this lodge.
Owners of the property couldn’t have been more hospitable. We hadn’t been to Moccasin Lake in 20 years and it was still as pristine as ever. Enchanted Loon lodge still incredibly charming and our stay in the cabin of the Enchanted Loon Lodge was so comfortable—- very clean and adorable cabin with all the amenities you need. Fire pit by cabin was a great time for us and we used motor boat of Lodge to fish with our sons. Beautiful place. We will be back with friends most definitely. Thank you to Jill and Steve for making this trip a memorable one for our family.
All - The Hosts were fantastic! The kind of people, like your friends you can be apart from for years and pick right back up from where you left off. Lodge is cozy and friendly and historic. The adjoining cabin was perfect for our extended weekend. We caught an awesome Muskie and will treasure the memories. Great time for my son and I to get away on our "guys weekend". Thanks so much for your hospitality!!!
