Land O' Lakes Cozy Cabin on Little Portage Lake with Amazing Views !
Enjoy quiet, breath-taking views over 160 Acre little portage lake through 80-ft pine trees! Serenity at its best! The cabin sits atop a slope down to the lake with a perfectly placed, picturesque fire-pit overlooking the lake. The stairs to the lake are lit with woodsy light posts that guide you down to the sandy shoreline dock and dry boathouse. Disclaimer—the stairs are much steeper than moderate, but not a cliff, there is a railing to assist. Anyone with trouble going up/downstairs, please be advised. On the lake you'll find great fishing (largemouth bass & crappie, plus plenty blue gill, perch and Northern Pike ). You can also explore the lake and its offshoots with the paddle boat, 2 kayaks or rowboat with 55lb trolling motor, which are all included with your stay and can be found in the dry boathouse. Get ready for incredible sunsets and lots of pictures! On the inside, the cabin has an open 960-sq. ft. floorplan, including a wood-burning fireplace, knotty pine walls, full kitchen (Weber gas grill outside too), dining area, and laundry in the basement. 55" Smart TV and DVD Player in front room- also you can plug in a device you have with you, there is fiber optic Wi-Fi in the cabin if you need to plug in or stream shows/music on a mobile device. One of the bedrooms has a queen bed, and the other has a Bunk Bed Full/ Twin with a private half-bath. Queen sofa sleeper and a large couch for extra sleeping space. The main Updated bathroom includes a stand-up shower. Neighbors are close, but there are lots of trees on the 1.0-acre lot . There is a Swim deck that you can use as well (community with neighbors) just to the right of boat house with ladder- Experience true peace and quiet, stars that you didn't know existed, and all that up North has to offer! This is truly a perfect North-woods getaway! NO A/C in Cabin - have a couple fans, also no access to public launch - you can carry kayaks, paddle boards and canoes down from property.

Beautiful location right on Little Portage Lake. Cabin was perfect for my husband & I. We are so grateful that we were able to bring our 2 dogs as well. Perfect relaxing fall vacation!
Had a wonderful time fishing, hiking, and exploring the Land O Lakes area. The cottage was great and we thoroughly enjoyed the water and fishing experiences.
Quiet clean cabin with all the necessities! We had a blast, great fishing, boat with a motor, great sleeping accommodations and all the features of home. Great communication and accurate descriptions. Will stay there again!
My wife and I had to cancel our trip to Colorado last minute and stumbled upon this cabin as a backup plan. From the start everything was perfect. Beautiful location, every amenity we could have asked for, clean and comfortable. Five stars across the board. Most serene experience we could have asked for. You won't be disappointed!!
Just as described, very clean with a beautiful lake view. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, everything you need for a quite get-away. Complete with loons and eagles. Great hiking and biking nearby too.
Mark was a very nice guy and easy to get a long with the great cozy accommodations.
We had 1 night where internet went out and he fixed it first thing in the morning.
Very clean and very nice place!! Highly recommend !!
Our family completely enjoyed our stay. The property was exactly what we wanted … comfortable, clean, amazing views, had a great time kayaking and fishing on the lake. Close to some amazing hiking in the North Woods. Much thanks to our host Mark…. We’ve never rented through Vrbo and you made the process seamless! You have an amazing property and we hope to stay again in the future.
A gorgeous pristine remote peaceful scene, towering pines and it’s almost like a private lake. Loved having the kayaks and small fishing boat with electric motor available! Nice supper clubs and friendly pubs close by and Land O Lakes is a nice little town. Inside The cottage is a little small, but was comfortable for our group of four with an efficient kitchen layout. Very nice owners and it’s a place you’d want to return! Dog friendly!
Marc was the best host we have had for a rental. He was extremely prompt with anything we needed. We were far enough from town to enjoy the peace, but it was convenient to buzz in when needed. We took up the trails during the day and relaxed by the docs and campfire at night. It was a perfect size for two kids and tow adults. We look forward to a return trip!
The VRBO listing looked really nice and the owner was friendly - so I stayed for 4 days. It's a 2bd, 1.5ba small cabin that was even better than I expected. Everything was very clean and new - including the bed, mattress, sheets, small items, TV, etc. It was like a bed & breakfast without the breakfast. It's 10 yards or so down to the lake and private dock. The owner (Marc) has two kayaks and a row boat with trolling motor to use. The lake is smaller but very peaceful. There are neighbors on either side - but they were quiet. Only half of the lake has houses and I rarely heard anything from them. There are some weeds in the lake - but not so many that you can't swim. Overall - a great small, comfortable place!
Our family completely enjoyed this cabin, firepit, and lake. The cabin was cozy, kitchen had everything we needed, and the space was welcoming and enjoyable. Our 3 boys had so much fun catching bass, northern pike and crappie. Marc was a great help in guiding us on where to fish, assisting us with questions and checking in. We came to relax and have family fun, and this is exactly what we achieved. The cabin had comfortable beds and furniture. However, we spent the majority of our time on the lake and by the fire. Our family enjoyed this place so much and we cannot wait to come back another time. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you Marc and family for sharing this with us.
We came up for a last minute get away to spend time as a family. We cannot speak highly enough of Mark and this cabin. Everything you will ever need is stocked into this quaint and cute cabin. It's super clean and so welcoming as well with the way it's decorated and organized. All throughout our stay we kept saying we want to return.
The property is also amazing. The lake is quiet as ever and filled with the most Interesting wildlife. One morning we were greeted by friendly deer. We also observed a bald eagle, many geese and fish for miles! The loons crying at night were also a favorite treat.
Thanks Mark for being an awesome host and so accommodating and responsive. You made our get away amazing!
We hope to return soon and many times in the future.
We had the best time in this cabin. The photos do not do this place justice at all. We tend to rent cabins a couple times a year, and this was one of our absolute favorites. A great place to share the Northwoods with our 6-month-old daughter. The cabin was very clean and provided everything we needed. The outdoor space was perfect. Everyone we talked to was very friendly. Best of all - it sits on an amazing lake with incredible fishing. Couldn’t be happier with our choice to rent this place. When we booked it, there weren’t any reviews – so we felt somewhat unsure. Very glad we took the plunge. A part of me wants to skip writing this review to keep it a secret – lol…but this place deserves good reviews. Marc (the owner) was very friendly and was quick to respond. It was clear he genuinely wanted us to enjoy the place as much as he and his family does. Thanks Marc – for sharing your slice of heaven with us! We will most certainly be back!
