LE CLOS Provençal retreat at the heart of an organic vineyard

Nestled at the heart of an organic vineyard, Clos de Caveau, Le Clos is a peaceful one-bedroom Provençal retreat with a panoramic view across our secluded valley in the Dentelles de Montmirail.

Tastefully decorated and well-equipped, Le Clos offers a spacious, open-plan living room/kitchen area, a double bedroom with large (150cm) bed, bathroom with walk-in shower, comprehensive AC, and original features throughout, such as natural stone walls in the bedroom and the living room’s expansive fireplace with wood-burning stove.

Outside, Le Clos benefits from its own private terrace, a perfect setting for morning coffee or summer dinners en plein air, with a spectacular view across the vineyard and the Comtat Venaissin plain. You will also have access to the domaine’s shared pool, with its own beautiful aspect of the valley.

Le Clos is located just outside the typical Provençal village of Vacqueyras – less than 5 minutes drive or 10 minute cycle – with its exceptional boulangerie, a butcher, grocery shop, as well as a local restaurant for traditional French cuisine, a bar, and takeaway pizzeria. The village of Gigondas, with wine bars and its Michelin-starred restaurant, is also a stone’s throw away, accessible on foot or in under 10 minutes by car.

Neighbouring towns host markets throughout the week for fresh produce, local specialities, and antiques, and nearby Carpentras, Vaison la Romaine and Avignon are rich in history and cultural sites.

Surrounded by the unique landscape of the Dentelles de Montmirail, there are numerous walks for you to discover right from the door of the gîte, as well as longer hikes, and cycle routes in the celebrated region of the Mont Ventoux.

Le Clos is situated on our organic vineyard, Clos de Caveau, and guests are always welcome to join us for a tasting to discover the domaine’s award-winning range of organic wines, with picnics, winemaker menus prepared by Henri Bungener, and vineyard tours also available upon request.
