Old Historic house located in western North Carolina
Walnut House was built in 1907 and is located in the small community of Walnut 25 min north of Asheville and 10 min from downtown Marshall. This old eclectic house has high ceilings and crooked hardwood floors, views from everywhere, and a nice wooded back lot where you can watch the sunset, bbq, and camp out if you want. It is minutes from whitewater on the French Broad. Sorry there is no laundry, dishwasher, or cable TV; only Wifi and a few tv stations through the 'bunny ears'.

Older home, not fancy but cool. Everyhting you need and a jukebox loaded with good music.
Close to downtown Marshall and Hot Springs which are bothe neat little town.
Would like to stay again if i ever need to be in Marshall again.
The house was exactly as described - incredibly charming and with a stunning view. The kitchen is incredible - every appliance you could need. The jukebox is a sweet touch with awesome music. If you like quirky historic houses, this is not-to-be-missed. The fire pit has comfortable chairs and a fantastic set-up for watching fireflies and sunsets, and there is a super convenient grocery store (ingles) just up the way. Trash take-out was easy, and it was a perfect launch point for hiking and river adventures, or spending a day down at Biltmore. Absolutely loved it and will likely book a stay here again in the future.
We had a great time. I actually cried the day before we left. We work a lot and needed a quiet, remote, place to relax. The little town of Walnut is very quaint. We attended church at the Baptist church, and everyone was very welcoming. The description from the owner is accurate on the home. The kitchen is well equipped, the home was clean. The views were gorgeous. I felt extremely safe. The owner is amazing to work with. Thank you again Sir, for taking such good care of us! We plan to return in fall.

Why they chose this property
I discovered Walnut House in 2007 while vacationing and fell in love with the property and area.
What makes this property unique
Walnut House has high ceilings, hardwood floors and a nice front porch with views from everywhere. It is close to the French Broad River where travelers can fish and go whitewater rafting.
