Blaine, Washington is beautifully framed by Mt. Baker to the east and Semiahmoo Bay and the Georgia Strait to the west. You’ll enjoy picturesque sunsets from the patio of this modern, waterfront home recently built in 2017. The home has 9-foot ceilings and expansive glass doors that frame the breathtaking scenery that you can enjoy without leaving the comfort of a luxurious king size bed. The main level features a master bedroom and bath complete with his and her sinks, a tiled shower and separate bathtub. The living area and kitchen have an open floor plan, designed to take advantage of the west facing views of Drayton Harbor and Semiahmoo.
All the apples and berries you can eat this time of year on the property and coastline.
The kitchen is a dream for any chef, complete with full stove, dishwasher, microwave and spacious island to do all your prep work. We should mention there’s a brand new BBQ in the backyard for your use too! However, there are some amazing dining options nearby as well.
Blaine has recently been made the Audubon Society’s list as on the of state’s top birding destinations and Drayton Harbor attracts thousands of geese, ducks, loons, gulls and shorebirds every year, as well as, endangered species such as the bald eagle, peregrine falcon and marbled murrelet. There is water access from a private path along the backyard and a kayak available to you to go paddle and explore this beautiful shoreline. There is a firepit by the water’s edge, which is a great place to enjoy your evening glass of wine. For a fun time, affordable menu with OK food, cheap drinks and dancing the Beach in Birch Bay is my favorite place. It is on the water and there is a bar next door with dozens of exotic beers on tap and a liquor store next door. On the 4 mile drive back home there is a little market.
Only minutes away the other direction is the Semiahmoo Resort. It is a world-class destination, featuring a marina, pool, spa, fitness center, restaurant and championship golf courses and $1,000,000 condos. Visit Packers Oyster Bar for their amazing lamb burgers, flatbreads and beer-battered fish and chips, or the for exquisite brunches and a fabulous selection of fine dining options.
Semiahmoo Spit is also home to Semiahmoo Park, which features more than 300 acres of tideland and approximately 1.5 miles of level pathways ideal for walking, biking, rollerblading, kayaking, clamming, sand sculpting, kite flying and picnicking.
Downtown Blaine is just a short drive or nice walk from the house, where you can grab a scoop of delicious ice cream from a local family farm in Lynden. In 1975, Ed and Aileen Bransma combined their names to create Edaleen Dairy. The ice cream shop in downtown Blaine opened in 2014 and includes all the usual varieties and some tasty others, among them chocolate chip peanut butter nut, blueberry cheesecake, white chocolate raspberry, fudgy wudgy and coffee almond fudge. A great place to also stock up on fresh cream, yogurt, milk and cheese all made from their dairy too. Additionally, there are nearby local farms where you can pick your own berries, apples, veggies and lavender. There are apple and berry trees and bushes on the property.
I hope you will enjoy your memorable stay here at our wonderful oasis overlooking Drayton Harbor. There is a separate entrance to the second floor and is occupied by quiet long-term renters and Drake the dog. Let me know if you have any questions regarding your future stay here with me. I hope to see you soon!

From the moment of a desperate call to Larry to request an early check-in to the moment we left, our stay at Larry's Drayton Harbor Home was magical.
The view of the sunsets at Drayton Harbor were magnificent! The home is beautiful. The bed ever so comfy. And Larry is an awesome host. We plan to stay there again and often.
Thanks, Larry, for everything!

I look forward to seeing you both and having drinks while listening to music at the Beach again.
Social distancing with local family. We live in Idaho, they live in Bellingham.
We were very impressed with Larry and Christine's concern that all our needs were met. We were honored to be the first renters of this beautiful Drayton Bay home. The sunsets were gorgeous, the bed was very comfy with top of the line linens and towels, very modern furnishings, and great outdoor space for our local family to visit us. Drake the gard dog was a pleasant addition. We would highly recommend this rental. Thanks again Larry, Christine, and Drake for a fabulous visit. Sandy, Dave, & Butte from Idaho.

Sandy, Dave and Butte were a pleasure to have stay in our home. All communication was friendly and prompt. They left the home and yard clean and everything was treated with respect. We would be happy to host them again and would highly recommend them to others! We’re so glad you had a great trip and got to visit with some local family members.
Loved the location & the view from this property. I would rent this vacation rental again at this price and he let my dog stay. The owner Larry was a great host and very accommodating. I wish the owner took better care of this beautiful home he leaves lots of personal stuff/furniture both inside and outside the house , the landscape could be better maintained. The one thing that should be mentioned is the owner stayed in the garage during our visit and the 3 tenants upstairs are noticeable especially with the entrance to the upstairs units next to master bedroom slider door so its not private. A few things like having to use a lighter to use the stove & BBQ and some weird electrical in the patio could be fixed. Overall I enjoyed my two week stay at this home, the Drayton Harbor view is very pretty and you won't get a better view than this home offers.
Had a great time. House is beautiful as is the property. The owner is friendly and quick to respond. We unfortunately were there during the heat wave and the a/c didn't work. That made it pretty uncomfortable at night. Yes there are upstairs house guest but they were kind and not a bother at all. Drake the dog is the best!!!!!! We will definitely go back as long as the ac works.
One of the most beautiful views you will ever experience
Larry has done a fabulous job creating an oasis of peace and tranquility right along the harbor's edge. He's a great host and really makes sure every detail is perfect clear down to a flashlight so you can take a stroll along the path.

Great view, nice host
Sweet small town just shy of the Canadian border. Oyster bar, Anna’s Bread (Bread in Blaine), massages at Semihamoo Resort - fabulous. House was a good place to work remotely and still feel like a little vacation and change of scenery. Larry is a very kind host. House could use a few more bathroom amenities : soap, shampoo, toilet paper all in pretty limited supply. Thin walls between upstairs tenants meant some noisy Dog barking and lots of walking/scooting/people sounds but we’re pretty laid back, so we just chalked it up to close quarters.
Excellent property, and owner was very helpful. Large bottom unit of duplex...upstairs residents were thoughtful and only occasionally noisy.
Beautiful views and sunsets...we enjoyed ourselves.

What makes this property unique
Drake is a Terrier who is 11 years old and a very happy and friendly dog. He has a wonderful personality, and is really mellow once he says hi to you. He lives upstairs and you will hear him run up and down the stairs once in a while.
