OCEANFRONT, Chic Décor, Private Beach Access!

Great location for some pieceful R&R. We're on a stretch in the middle of the island that's sparsely populated with just one row of homes & adjacent homes aren't rentals. The beach is never crowded — even in the summer — & private beach access lends more seclusion.

Contemporary décor. Unobstructed ocean views. Private hot outdoor shower. Home recently updated + new shake siding ('23), enlarged windows. Beach restored in 2022.

Located on peaceful Topsail Island with its trademark aqua-blue waters, this lovely beach cottage offers sweeping views of the Atlantic ocean, an open floor plan, lots of sunlight, and plenty of privacy, including the private beach walkway directly in front of it.

With its “beachy-chic” décor, the home is stylish with a mid-modern flair — and best of all, it’s a comfy as it is cute.

Just a 2 hr drive from Raleigh.

House is just 12 years old but was updated & redecorated in 2019. In 2020: New impact windows & widened the oceanfront windows for a better view. New in 2023: shake siding and a king bed with memory foam mattress. Also added a large outdoor shower with hot water & a dressing area (shower is only available during warmer months; its water source is turned off in the winter to prevent freezing). Beach underwent dune reconstruction in Spring 2022. As with all NC beaches, the sand is constantly changing (both accretion & erosion), so beach depth can vary significantly.

2 bedrooms / 2 full bathrooms with a king bed in the master, and twin beds in the guest room. (Twin beds can be moved together to create a king -- and a ratcheting strap is provided to secure them).

All photos of the ocean that are taken from the porch are from THIS home's porch (& any beach pics were taken in front of the house). There is a single-lane, dead-end road in front that is used to access the driveway, and we own the ocean lot, as well, so we have private beach access directly in front of the house. (Just an FYI: There is a staircase up to the house and two sets of stairs to the beach.)

Additional notes:
- An online guest manual is provided before each stay; this will answer essentially every question you might have in order to prepare for and enjoy your stay.
- We will typically not approve broken weekends (i.e. Friday & Saturday must be booked together) except in certain circumstances.
- Travel Insurance: All guests are strongly advised to purchase travel insurance prior to their trip in case of emergency trip cancellations & other incidents that may arise. This is especially crucial during hurricane season. Policies run as low as $17; a quick web search will provide you names of insurers; we can also help you with this after booking.
- Unfortunately, we are no longer able to host families with children under 15.
- We do not offer discounts during the busy season. Sorry. We get a lot of these requests, but we inevitably book up at full price, even last-minute -- & w/ 60% insurance hikes & every other surprise expense, we have to stick to this during our peak season.
- 4 guests, max. We do not make exceptions.
- If you consume alcohol, please do so in moderation.
- Please be aware that weight capacity for outdoor seating is 250lbs; in addition, for those with mobility issues, please be aware that all of our beds are low-profile, platform beds.
- Since it's a second home and does go vacant, there is a Ring camera installed in the carport. For your privacy, it is deactivated after your arrival. If we get any complaints from neighbors, however, we do reserve the right to activate it and make sure there are no parties or the like going on.
- Linens are provided -- i.e. bed sheets and bath towels (however, if you wish to convert the twins to a king bed, you will need to supply your own king sheets). Also included: blankets, pillows, and bath mats, as are bodywash, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, etc.
- At check-in, we assure you that there will be at least 2 rolls of toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, a trash bag, and 2 laundry pods. We do try to stock the home with backups, but depending on other guests, we cannot guarantee extras will be available and our cleaner only cleans the home -- they do not restock it.
