What an amazing place for peace and quiet while having a front porch, riverside view of the lake freighters.Star watching was the best and we really enjoyed the deck fire pit. Communication with Diane was excellent. Even though she was traveling in a different state, she always answered our few questions very quickly.Highly recommended for anyone wanting to unwind. A boat nerd must!

I always look forward to visiting this clean and comfortable home on the St. Marys river. I don’t know a better place for a Great Lakes freighter watcher to spend time. The place is stocked with everything you need and communication with the host is very good. Lots of room and comfortable furniture inside and out. The Soo Locks is just a short drive away. This is a great place and I highly recommend it!

Beautiful rental! The description doesn't begin to do it justice. Stunning views. Freighters travel literally right in front of you. Awesome decks with very nice seating options. I thought it was kind of expensive at first, but after seeing it and staying there, it was well worth it! We plan to stay again next year

Another great trip to this house. We've stayed here multiple times and always been happy with the property. We had one issue with the dishwasher, which Diana resolved very quickly - so a great stay, a great host, and a great time. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone considering a trip to the Soo.

Perfect location to watch the freighters heading to and from the Soo Locks! Expansive deck with plenty of comfortable chairs & a beautiful lawn overlooking the sandy, flat, river shore. House was clean and well-equipped with everything you need. Beds were comfortable and decor was very nice, big kitchen & fridge. Dining table was large enough for a big group, 2 large tables & chairs on the deck for morning coffee or dining alfresco. Diana was easy to communicate with and was quick to respond. Sault Ste. Marie & locks were about a 10 min drive. Lots of dining options and shops. Plenty of parking for vehicles, very residential and quiet property.

Great Location

Wonderful house right on the St Mary's River with a great view of the many freighters passing by. Close to town for dinner or shopping. We enjoyed our stay there.

A wonderful house in a beautiful location! We really enjoyed the freighter traffic passing silently by just yards away through the river. The house is very comfortable, plenty of seating inside and out. Easy to go into Sault Ste. Marie, MI for food, drinks, museums and tours. Diana, the owner, was very kind and fun to speak to via text. Great stay!

What a beautiful home! So thankful for a quiet peaceful space spent with my husband. The location was perfect for watching freighters go by on the river. Would definitely love to stay again with another couple. Plenty of space to share with friends and/or family.

Very clean, great location, well-appointed with a lot of nice features like ceiling fans everywhere, even in the bathrooms, lots of comfortable seating inside and out, plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, and just about anything you need in the kitchen! The ships going by day and night were amazing and beautiful. We even had a glimpse of the Northern Lights! We loved our stay and hope to be back!

Great property!

We stayed for five days this year and we always enjoy this residence. This year it was hot so we took full advantage of the shallow beach, cold water and large deck. We had a great time!

Beautiful property

We loved our stay. We truly enjoyed watching the freighters right from the deck! The beach was amazing, the house was clean, and the deck was large enough for a bonfire and the six of us to relax and unwind.

This is the fourth year I've stayed at this property, and I've already booked it for 2026. The house is so comfortable and stocked with anything you need. We loved watching the freighters go by. Even saw a cruise ship pass.
