Overall the property was great. Could definitely use some more love. Only complaint was the rug on the back porch smelled. The river was nice and relaxing. Took my snorkel and got up close to some fish. Would go back again.

Great view of the river! My absolute favorite pleasure was sitting outside (screened porch) and listening and looking at the water. Comfortable sitting areas (indoor/outdoor), comfortable beds, bedding and soft towels. Kitchen has most items needed to cook, recommend you bring something to cover/ store food (aluminum foil, plastic wrap, storage bags), seasoning and cooking oils. Also bring paper towel and TP, at least one of each is provided, my stay was two weeks. Excited to return with my family for another stay. Plan on 14 minutes of driving into the resort, through narrow windy roads filled with wildlife. A plus in my book. Hosts were very responsive.

Overall, the property was good. It is in a great location with a lot of wildlife every day. The one thing that was a little off was the pictures showing the water. Although it is right on the water, it fails to mention that there is about a 15 foot wall that drops off to the water. Not the worst thing ever, but definitely requires a little navigating to get down to it. When putting the trash in the trashcan, you should be careful because you might wake up one morning to it being overturned and all of the trash pulled out of it like we had. Maybe a trashcan with a lockable lid might be a nice improvement. I would definitely recommend this place for a small group looking to get away to the mountains.

Having both the chairs by the water and a screened porch at night to keep out most bugs was nice.Property was well stocked for cooking and toiletries, we brought our own anyway. Beds were comfortable. Road access was very challenging in Coosawattee.The house needs work, uneven floors, second story staircase are difficult for those with mobility issues.Overall a beautiful setting.

The location is fantastic, right on the river with the water flowing over some rocks. You get the great burbling sound of the water, very relaxing. This time of year there were very few other cabins with people so it was very quiet and peaceful

Views of the river and the screened in porch was amazing. Property is quiet. It’s an older property but was nice. Needs some TLC. If you are looking for a 5 star, this is not your place. If you are looking for a great vacation place and cozy this is your place. I’ll be booking here again in a few months. FYI, we had some bad weather Tuesday nite and a tree fell up by the entrance so the power was off at the gate entrance. My brother and nephew could not get into the property for about 8 hours. They had to sit in the vehicle at the gate until 5 am.. no other way in evidently. Just wanted to give a heads up so be prepared if staying at the Coosawattee River resort. Other than that we had a blast.

This was a great place to stay. The location on the river was perfect. There were cascades straight out from cabin that made beautiful river sounds that could be heard from the screened in porch. We had deer come really close to the porch, looking for a handout, I think.Terry and Cathy
