The village (450 inhabitants) is one of the most beautiful villages in France. It is nestled all around its castle, in the Valley of the 5 Castles.

It is only 10 km from the medieval town of Sarlat, in the heart of Black Périgord, on a path to Saint Jacques de Compostela.

Located at the foot of CASTELNAUD castle, this former barn belonged to a farmhouse dating back to the 18th century.

Nous avons passé un week end magnifique dans cette belle maison de charme. Très bien située, proche des principaux sites touristiques. Commerces de proximité à 2 pas de la maison. Le propriétaire a été très réactif et sympathique. La décoration intérieure est de très bon goût et le mélange entre pierres apparentes et deco contemporaine est bien réalisé. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir en famille ou entre amis !

Excellent house and very clean!

We stayed for two nights and found the house to be exactly as described. It was clean, modern, and newly renovated. The house is close to some small shops, a couple of restaurants, and is conveniently located to numerous attractions in the area. Coup de coeur assuré à Castelnaud

accueillis par le propriétaire très sympathique et intentionné, nous avons découvert une maison rénovée avec beaucoup de goût, fonctionnelle ,où l'on se sent bien dès le pas de la porte franchi.Idéalement située , au calme , cette location est parfaite pour un séjour à Castelnaud et sa belle région.Un petit coin extérieur serait un plus agréable.

Un merveilleux séjour de 3 nuits. Nous pourrions évoquer l'accueil et la disponibilité du propriétaire, la propreté de la maison, son équipement (pensé dans les moindre détails), le volume du gîte (nous étions 9 personnes), la décoration, le calme, sa situation au pied du château de Castelnaud, les petites attentions du propriétaire... Mais surtout c'est la chaleur et l'âme de cette maison que nous garderons jusqu’à notre prochaine visite du Périgord noir !

Agréable séjour au Pied du Chateau

Avec sa situation au pied du chateau de Castelnaud et a 10 km de Sarlat, n'hésitez pas a louer ce gite confortable et accueillant pour 10 personnes (propreté ,décoration, tout est au top).Le propriétaire très sympathique ,reste a votre entière disposition pour vous conseillez sur les excursions,restaurants, et toutes les belles choses a visiter de la région .!!!!Nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir .Je vous le conseille vivement pour passer a votre tour un séjour très agréable.

Maison magnifiquement rénovée et idéalement placée

La maison est magnifique, la rénovation est superbe, plein de surprises quand à l'utilisation de ses origines pour une utilisation d'aujourd'hui... Elle se trouve idéalement située au pied du château dans ce beau village, entre les 2 sites de la Roque Gageac et Beynac et Cazenac (3km chaque), nous étions ainsi au calme. A 200 m de la rivière, très pratique pour le canoé et la pêche.. et les promenades. Des petits commerçants et restaurants sont là aussi (je vous conseille la boucherie !). La description qui nous a été donné correspond parfaitement , le propriétaire nous a donné de bons conseils sur le secteur, et était très attentif, de petits cadeaux de bienvenue nous ont fait bien plaisir ! Je conseille vivement cette location à ceux qui veulent se retrouver au cœur du Périgord, au plus proche de toutes les visites touristiques a faire, tout en étant au calme. Des vacances inoubliables !

A REFAIRE, TRÈS AGRÉABLE!

La maison est très agréable à vivre, pleine de charme, confortable, cuisine très bien équipée et plancha dans une magnifique cheminée. Le village est agréable et niché au pied du château. La base de canoës et à 2 minutes à pied et de nombreux sites touristiques sont très proches. Piste de vélo en bas du village, pour nous, amateurs de balades. Commerces de proximité, très pratique avec une boucherie ainsi qu'une boulangerie, de bonnes qualités. Accueil très chaleureux du propriétaire dont nous avons beaucoup apprécié toutes les petites attentions et les renseignements sur la région. Merci pour ce beau séjour. Nous reviendrons!
