Drumlin Villa is a stunning villa with it's own private pool situated on a quiet cul-de-sac in the fabulous area of Quinta do Sobral. The villa is located on a small hill, hence the name Drumlin, from the Irish word droimnin or "little ridge". The Villa is very spacious with lots of natural light. The interior is fitted to a very high standard with modern decor throughout.

The Villa is located an easy 45 minute Motorway drive from Faro Airport and is only 10 minutes to the Spanish border.

The villa offers the perfect setting for exploring the Eastern Algarve. Within a 15 minute drive there are 6 golf courses to choose from including the prestigious course of Monte Rei Golf designed by Jack Nicklaus.

Your closest town is Castro Marim, a typically Portuguese town with a lovely castle and quaint shops. The nearest beach, (Praia Verde) is 3km away from the Villa

The towns of Tavira and Vila Real de Santo Antonio are within easy reach and are great for an evening stroll and a leisurely drink at one of the many street cafés.

Fantastic villa, perfectly placed for exploring

We had a lovely stay at Drumlin Villa. Everything worked really well, from correspondence with Nuala the owner, through booking and paying, to meeting the key holder Kerry when we arrived. The villa was clean and welcoming, the pool is a great size and was nice at night when it lights up. We stayed with just our two children (8 & 11) and they absolutely loved swimming in the pool. The pool table downstairs was also a nice addition to an already great place. I can envisage staying here with more of the family would be brilliant. In terms of location, the local towns are wonderful and there is plenty to do and see. It is perfectly suited to a quiet, exploring, beach, relaxing holiday whilst still being near enough for a day trip across to Seville in Spain if that takes your fancy. Definitely would recommend this villa to friends and family.

Mixed feelings.....

The owner and property manager are very courteous and responsive. The check in process was quick and easy. We were warmly greeted by the manager and given an overview of the property. The owner left a complete set of instructions and recommendations, the blue notebook" that proved quite valuable. The location was not ideal for our small group as it is too remote for walking anywhere such as a restaurant or grocery store. It is a five minute drive to Praia Verde which has miles of beautiful beach to walk and some good restaurants too. The interior is quite spacious and the kitchen well equipped. The living room is very large and could use either more furniture or for the existing to be re arranged. There were just a couple of small glitches during our stay that were dealt with quite quickly. So great ownership and management!

Fabulous holiday

Jo made the enquiry/booking process so easy, we arrived, after getting lost - our fault following google maps rather than the ones provided! to be welcomed by Jo. The villa was immaculate inside and out, it is really well equipped, especially in the kitchen, there were even some basic store cupboard items which are a great help. I didn't think we would use the hot tub but it was so relaxing, the pool was clean and the pool table provided entertainment during the mid day sun. You do need a car but there is so much to see and do in the area, beautiful beaches and the harbour at Vila Real Santa Antonia, there is useful info in the villa with things to see and do together with some restaurant recommendations, we tried Pezinhos n´areia and would highly recommend it but we ate in a lot eating fresh fish on the barby. We all had a fabulous holiday and would definitely return, our only complaint . . . we could just have done with another 7 days :) thank you

Fantastic villa for family holiday

We stayed for a family holiday with 6 adults and a 5 month old baby. The pictures and description on here don't do it justice it was much more than we had expected. What a beautiful villa and so well equipped. It has 4 good sized double rooms. Having rooms downstairs next to the pool table room and having its own bathroom meant my son and his fiancé had some privacy which was good. The kitchen is stunning with everything you could possibly need and a well stocked food cupboard with basic items that made cooking easy. We loved the barbecue area and used this most nights. Loved time in the pool although was cold but we braved it each day and appreciated all the inflatables left there to use. Jo and Paul were lovely people and made the whole process from booking to leaving so easy. They went out of their way to bring a cot , high chair and baby chair to the villa for my grandson to use which was so helpful. The book with places to visit came in handy and we had a lovely celebration meal at the restaurant at the Praie Verde beach. All in all a perfect holiday and so sad we had to come home.

heerlijk familie huis.

Heerlijke grote woning met voldoende leefruimte. Bedden sliepen heerlijk. Service van Kerry was top. Als er iets was, dan was het binnen een korte tijd geregeld. Schoonmaak zou iets beter kunnen. Keuken heeft groot assortiment, ik zou wel adviseren om nieuwe pannen aan te schaffen, aangezien de (teflon) pannen vrijwel allemaal flink beschadigd waren. Locatie is goed. Zwembad wordt goed onderhouden/ schoongemaakt. Deze is alleen niet verwarmd, staat niet op de site. Heerlijk verblijf gehad. Dank!

Emplacement parfait, mais la propreté est insuffisante, Clim de 2 chambre non fonctionnelle

L’emplacement de la villa était parfait, au calme et proche des plages . Cependant la propreté est insuffisante tant à l’extérieur qu’a l’intérieur. Nous avons perdu une journée pour le nettoyage. La climatisation des 2 chambres du bas ne fonctionnait pas malgré une notification auprès du gérant , ce qui est Fort contraignant quand il fait plus de 30 degrés la nuit! 2 douches étaient bouchées et l’évier de dehors également! Pour résumé, la villa était spacieuse et bien placée mais l’entretien et la propreté laisse à désirer.

Lovely stay in a wonderful villa managed by great hosts

One of the best things about this villa is how many things are available for you to use. For example, there is a washing machine, pool table, table football, swimming pool etc, but it's the little things that make the difference, like all the floating toys for the pool, the sun umbrella for the beach, the numerous pots, pans, cutlery and crockery, as well as all the food bits that people leave behind, like salt, cooking oil, flour, pasta etc. These small things made a huge difference! Communication before and during our stay was excellent, with Nuala and Kerry all very quick to respond and very helpful in doing so. This was a truly lovely villa and I'm very glad we picked it! I will point out a few very small details that I feel could be worked on, but I emphasise that these are minor - we had a very nice stay! 1) The large sail shade in the back garden flaps around a lot in the wind and makes quite a lot of noise. If you're sleeping in the back room, it will keep waking you up. We asked to have it taken down and the next morning it was gone. 2) The shower downstairs and the large shower upstairs had a tendency to overflow if you put the water on maximum. There seems to be a slow drainage issue. We just reduced the power or used the other shower upstairs, but it would be good to get the drains cleared. 3) You need to be careful not to leave any small bits of food on the floor in the kitchen or patio outside, or ants will come in force to get it. Maybe there could be some effort put in to eradicate them? 4) Downstairs can feel and smell a little damp sometimes, because of the lack of natural light I guess. Not much you can do about this though? Maybe it just needs regular airing. That's it! Thank you Nuala :-)

Great Villa!

We have just returned home from our 2 week stay at Drumlin Villa. It had everything! The location was in a private residential area, well respected by all and close to Castro Marim. The villa was huge and had everything from pots & pans to hot tub, pool table, table football, books , DVD's to an enormous pool for private bathing. The owner Nuala ensured everything was right for us and kept in contact from the booking until departure. Kerry & Ian managed the day to day aspects and greeted us with a pre-organised welcome pack. Definitely be back!

Genial für 2-3 Familien mit Kindern - für jeden ist etwas dabei...

Wir können das Objekt wärmstens empfehlen, es lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Kinder und wir hatten viel Spaß im Pool und Whirpool, das gemeinsame Essen auf der Terrasse mit Grillecke und wundervollen Sonnenuntergängen wird lange in Erinnerung bleiben. Die Küche ließ keine Wünsche offen, Getränke wurden mit dem Eiswürfelspender des Kühlschranks perfekt gekühlt, Kaffeekapselmaschine war auch da (Dolce Gusto)... Bis zum Strand/Meer (Praia Verde) waren es ca. 5 Minuten mit dem Auto, der atemberaubende Blick vom darüberliegende SPA mit Infinitypool war genial, die Treppen zum Strand vom gebührenfreien Parkplatz waren gut zu laufen, bei Gehbehinderung stehen auch Parkplätze am Strand ohne Treppen zur Verfügung. Die Matratzen waren neu/fest und nicht durchgelegen. Die Kinder hatten in der Doppelgarage einen Billiardtisch und Dart ... auf dieser Ebene sind auch zwei Schlafzimmer mit separatem Bad, so dass jede Familie ihren Bereich hat. Die Wohnstube war riesig und die Couch sehr bequem, so dass die Teenies auch gut „abhängen“ konnten. Auch für alle perfekt war das wirklich schnelle Internet :-)

The photos don't do this place justice, it is a beautiful home! It has all the amenities and also an a/c unit in every room! The pool and view were also spectacular. The owner is very responsive to questions, overall our stay was perfect! We would rent again!

Couldn't have picked a better place!

We loved the Villa especially the pool and Hot tub. The Villa is very spacious and has everything you need. The Pool table and Dart Board in the garage are great when you need a break from the heat. Plus the DVDs and books kept everyone entertained. Within our group of 3 generations, we had our grandchildren ranging in age from 6 to 19. We can't believe how well they all got on. We credit it to the environment we were in. We have really enjoyed our stay at Drumlin Villa, its a lovely property with great facilities set in a lovely part of Portugal. We hope to return one day.

Excellent place to visit. Kerry was wonderful, met us at the Villa and gave us all the information that we needed. Villa is perfect for family holidays. Beach within easy access. We spent most days just chilling and having a BBQ. The time just went by far too quickly though. Would definitely recommend.

Superb villa with all you need for a great holiday

This villa has all the facilities anyone would want. The pool and patio are a great size with nice views. Pool was cleaned twice in the week we stayed. We used the bbq on many occasions. Fantastic 2nd visit to Drumlin Villa

We knew what to expect having stayed at the villa previously. I'm pleased to say the standards are still as high as we experienced before. The correspondence with Nuala (the owner) was first class and timely. The local agents, Kerry and Ian, were really helpful and very professional. The property is very well maintained and had everything you could think for a comfortable stay. The addition of Aircon to the downstairs bedrooms was a really pleasant surprise. The Guest Guide had been updated since our last visit and we tried some of the new restaurants listed. Dom Rodrigo's was a good find and Panoramico is excellent for a special occasion. I'm happy to recommend to friend's and family (and anyone who's looking for a great experience in this idyllic part of the Algarve).

We fell in love with the Eastern Algarve after our first visit here and we then made it our aim to buy our own villa. We are delighted to have done so in January 2015. It is now being let and we have made every effort to ensure that the property is of the highest standard for letting.
We know how nice it is to arrive at a villa and think the photographs didn't do it justice. Hopefully, you will come to our villa and feel the same.

Why they chose this property

We looked at many properties but when we saw Drumlin Villa, we knew it was the one for us. The amount of space and the lovely setting appealed to us.
We have two children and a large family, so the size of the villa was important, as was the large outdoor space and swimming pool.
The villa is in a very peaceful area but supermarkets and restaurants are easily accessible, so we have the best of both worlds. We hope you enjoy it.

What makes this property unique

Drumlin Villa is ideally located only 50 minutes from Faro airport. It’s very quiet with really nice views over the nature reserve.
It’s also only a few minutes drive to the great beach at Praia Verde. You can rent a bed and umbrella from the restaurant Pezinhos N’Areia – the restaurant has lovely views over the beach.
The Restuarante Panaramico next door has excellent reviews and is a sister restaurant of O Infante.
