Cozy 2 Bedroom All Season Cottage on Montello Lake

This darling, lakeside cabin offers plenty of room to accommodate the entire family! Set up as your home away from home!

Located in a friendly neighborhood, full of trees! Close to several other lakes and the Montello River for excellent fishing, kayaking and general outdoor recreation. The Montello Lake boat launch is right around the corner. Montello City Park is 5 minutes away with a great playground, small beach and sporting fields. Both ATV and snowmobile trails are close by. Local food establishments are in the area, including restaurants, bars, convenience stores and the Montello Candy Shop with ice cream! The Rustic Saloon is within walking distance. Only 35 minutes to Wisconsin Dells. 40 minutes to the beautiful Devil's Lake. 40 minutes to Cascade Mountain.

You’ll find this home spacious with a newly remodeled open kitchen, large living room with an electric log fireplace, two bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and an incredible all season room! Front and rear patios, outdoor table and chairs, a charcoal grill and steel firepit.

One queen size bed, one double bed, one twin bed. We also provide a twin mattress with a portable frame and 2 deluxe camping cots which can be set up in any room.

The all season porch is sure to be your favorite spot! Its a great place to gather and unwind. Sip on a cup of coffee or tea while watching birds and other wildlife. The enclosed porch offers incredible views of the sunrise over the lake!

The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking appliances, bakeware, pots, pans and utensils, dishes, silverware, cups, and mugs. Coffee and tea, soaps, detergents, paper towels and general cleaners are supplied. Basic toiletries and towels are provided as well.

WIFI is available with a Smart TV in the living room, ready to load with your own apps. We also have a smaller TV and DVD player with plenty of DVD’s to choose from. Various games, puzzles, playing cards, books and Legos are in the all season room. Outdoor toys and balls, fishing poles, as well as 2 kayaks are onsite.

Our little people have a blast looking for frogs and turtles, searching for deer in the area, and also casting a line off of our wooden dock! We recently set up 3 raised garden beds that you are welcome to utilize.

The lake house provides year round comfort! The property allows plenty of sun and shade in the yard, and both front and rear patios. When it gets a bit too hot outside, enjoy the comfort of central A/C. There are box fans in most rooms.

Dogs are permitted with prior approval and a nonrefundable deposit. Dogs must be leashed or on a tie out at all times while outside. Dogs must be crated when left unattended in the house. We keep a tie out stake and cord, an extra leash, water bowls and a medium size metal crate at the house. We encourage you to bring your own equipment, but these items are available if you need them!

*This rental has a maximum occupancy of 6 people. This limit is in accordance with the Health Department and the local Fire Marshall. Absolutely no house parties or large gatherings. No fireworks, loud music or loud noise that could disturb the neighbors.

*No smoking anywhere in the house.

*Loss or damage to the house or furnishings will be charged to the Guest.

*For security purposes, we have two ring cameras. There is a camera overlooking the backyard. It is plugged in inside the 4 seasons room. It does not actively record sound or video, and does not look into any interior spaces. There’s also a camera at the front door.

*Disclaimer: In the late summer months, this lake gets quite weedy and can make swimming and boating difficult. There are a handful of surrounding lakes we would love to recommend to you for swimming and recreation.
