Love the peace, the coziness and amenities of this cottage in Linville Land Harbor. Quirky roads all tangled here and there and the very individual cottages make it even better. A nice morning with coffee on the porch swing is my favorite part of the stay.
This was a nice, relatively inexpensive, place to stay close to the local attractions: Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, Boone, Moses Cone Manor, etc. Would stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay at Glen’s place. It was cute and clean, as well as ideally located for trips to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the sites near Linville Land Harbor.
This is our second stay at this location!!! We throughly enjoy the privacy and comfort of a ‘home away from home’!!! Our daughter has purchased a home nearby and this was truly a blessing for us!
We truly enjoyed our stay. The area is quiet and beautiful. The home had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. I would highly recommend it.
We loved staying here. It's a nice 2 bedroom, 1 one bath cottage. Love how the kitchen is open with the living room. Heating worked great throughout the entire Inside, as we were there during semi cold weather. Theres 2 different nice places to sit outside which are fairly private.. The home is well equipped. We hope to get to stay there again soon.
I loved this property. It is cozy and has a bathroom with tub as well as another toilet off a bedroom, which to me was a bonus. Lots of space outside on three sides of the house to relax and enjoy the outdoors too. We made use of the front porch swing in the mornings when it was cool out. Nice that the kitchen does have essentials and I didn't have to run to the store for those. Nice owner who is quick to respond.
This was a lovely spot! Very clean cozy comfortable and quiet. My only complaint was that the place advertised a king bed but in reality it was two twin beds pushed together. When I rolled over I slipped between the beds and went halfway to the floor. 😑 The owners were very thoughtful and left water and milk and the kitchen had everything you might need. Great location and a beautiful cabin.
The cottage itself was nice and adequate for our needs (a quite weekend away) Housekeeping was something to be desired. Had some nice outside areas, covered front porch, side patio and rear deck, but took some work to get them cleaned up because of all the surrounding vegetation debris. The vegetation is nice because it gives you a little more feeling of privacy even though the houses are very close together but it does make a mess. The area is very nice. there is a nice pool, a beautiful lake with a beach area. Limited selection of restaurants close by if you like to eat out . All in all, it was a nice weekend.
Cabin was nice had everything you need but no a/c made almost unbearable 2days it was in 80,s after 2 pm it gets hot used ceiling fans and window fans but still to hot also king bed is to twin bed pushed together mattresses are shot

Good stay
The propperty was clean inside but older and well lived. Everything worked but the refrigerator was super loud. The back room was a little musky so we used the queen beed in the other room. The bed must have been very old because it was such an soft spring loadet mattress that it was hurting both of our hips and backs.
The outside was not much taking care of as we arrived and we had to spend a good while cleaning and sweeping befor we could start feeling compftable.
All.in all, everything was there and we had a nice stay. considering the price it was ok.
The house was not clean. Sheets not changed, trash not emptied, crap in sink. Dishes dirty. Called the owner he answered said he would call cleaner. They never arrived. We had to clean the mess and change sheets. We asked for a refund on cleaning and so far we’re ignored.
Cottage is very comfortable and functional. Cleaning lady super. Decor early attic but fits. Didn’t read fine print that listed AiR CONDITIONING as an amenity and then in small print said mountain elevation didn’t need it. Open windows, fans snd 2 unmounted window units stored in the basement is not the definition of “air conditioning “ my mistake for not reading this little gimmick cause …I have asthma and AC was important . None the less did ok but these mountain cabins need dehumidifiers or AC . This cottage has tolerable yet noticeable musty areas (beds) as previous clients have remarked. Sooo recommend a fix. We would definitely rent again here but got to knock down the humidity. While there is great potential for outside sitting the grounds are unkept and not very welcoming. Moss and a general mess. Too bad.
This place was amazing! My friends and I went snowboarding at Sugar Mountain and it was a 20 min drive from the mountain. We were able to cook every meal and had everything we needed.
