About this property

Lovely property with separate private lakefront to Silver Lake + huge backyard.

We fell in love with this lovely Pure Michigan property with separate private access to Silver Lakes. It is our happy place. This summer home gives out a vibe of a chill and homey Michigan cottage. The house boasts of a large 1700 sq ft of living space and only 2 houses away from the lakefront. There is a large deck that we enjoy our meals "al fresca". There are string lights and candles that makes dinner and wine just so perfect. There is a front yard sitting area, as well as (2) separate fire pit for a large group to enjoy. One in the backyard and one by the lakefront to enjoy the sunset. There is no rental in the area that can offer the best of both world to have private access to Silver Lakes and for a group to enjoy a huge northern woods backyard. In the backyard, there is enough room to set-up nets for Volleyball, badminton, and pickleball. There is a living room and a family room if you need to have a separate play area for the kids. The dining table can accommodate 8. One of my other favorite feature of the house is the outdoor shower with hot water. Nothing like watching the dense stars above when you are showering. Our property includes a separate lakefront that has a large gazebo, fire pit, seating area and dock where you can swim in Silver Lake, launch kayak , paddleboard or other water equipment. This is a short 2 minute walk and is only for your private use. The Silver Lake State Park is a short 10 minute walk. This is an option for a beach and playground. The Little Sable Point Lighthouse is a short drive for a tour of the lighthouse or a day at the Lake Michigan beach. We have four (4) Bedrooms with queen bed per bedroom. It is advertised as sleeps 10 using a queen air mattress in the family room. Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need.
We also provide toiletries and towels and quality beddings. Please note for your consideration of the property.

Maria was great with communications! We enjoyed having the private pier to dock our boat. The back yard was spacious for our younger ones to run and play. We enjoyed our stay! Also, the property is located close to many fun activities at Silver Lake.

Very clean and cozy. We loved the location, because it is close to all of the fun lake type activities. The back yard is large and gives a private feel. The house is well stocked with all of the essentials. The hosts were very responsive and easy to work with.

Great house! Updated house with the original character intact. Very cozy and welcoming, we did not need for anything. Locations was perfect, short walk to the water with a nice shaded seating area. Our 1st time to Silver Lake and we will definitely come back!

Unique, quirky house with nice kitchen that overlooks the patio area. Clean and fully stocked, only suggestion was that many of the frying pans and pots had burnt on foods(?) or just needing to be replaced. High step from the patio into the kitchen and step up to the main living room (which was most likely the original 1940's house), step up from bedrooms also. Taller guests; especially those over 6 foot need to watch when they step up from bedrooms and kitchen door, my one son-in-law banged his head a few times! Beds were comfortable, main bath clean and updated with tub; 2nd bathroom off kitchen smaller with shower only. Firepit and surrounding chairs are awesome as well as the yard and front lighted trees. All six of us had a great time and enjoyed the house immensely!

Great spot

My friends and I really enjoyed this property and I’d highly recommend booking this place. The backyard is fantastic, short walk to the lake, rooms were comfortable and spread out, and basically had everything we needed.

We loved our stay at Steve and Maria’s - it was perfect for enjoying the holiday weekend with our family. Their outdoor space was especially nice - lots of options for seating, having a fire, grilling, or swinging in the hammock - and the lake is at the end of the street!

Great comfortable house and property

Wonderful stay!

The yard was spacious and we enjoyed the fire pit, plenty of privacy! Plenty of parking (even for the boat trailer). Just a short walk or drive to the lake. We would definitely stay again! Plenty of room for everyone in the house and the kitchen was well stocked.

Why they chose this property

Pure Michigan! The Silver Lakes area is such a wonderful and beautiful place. The dunes are amazing. There is no place anywhere else in the country that can showcase such a landscape while enjoying the water life and water sports in Silver Lake. The area is surrounded by fruit orchards, wineries, breweries and hiking trails.

What makes this property unique

This property is on Silver Lake (not Upper Silver Lake). You have the benefit of endless sandy bottom of the lake. The unique benefit of this property is the accessibility to Silver Lake and the dunes plus the additional benefit of a huge private backyard to spread out and set up games of volleyball, pickle
ball, etc. . There is a huge firepit for everyone to enjoy and the best spot to stargaze.

This is a four (4) bedroom house with 2 bathrooms and an enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water . The property offers a large outdoor living option with a dining table and large sectional . Plus the large fire pit area.

Note: There are 3 security cameras. The front door, back door and the deck camera.
