First time to Yosemite and we were very pleased with this accommodation - a peaceful spot to rest after adventuring for the day. We recommend this spot!
A high school friend and I were reuniting for a girls' weekend visiting Yosemite. This was a great spot for us, with one bed and one couch, plus kitchen and a small living space, all within Yosemite National Park. It was very easy access to the valley, and we were able to get there before the crowds in the morning. The place was very clean and cozy and made for a wonderful weekend.
It’s exactly as listed, a one bedroom apartment with one sofa. Ideal for a couple or small family. The only complaint I have is that the WiFi password wasn’t the one originally provided and had to message the host, which isn’t easy on an area of no mobile reception. Host should change wifi settings in communications.
Location was great for our day trips to Yosemite Park. The neighborhood was quiet and serene, and the property manager was friendly, helpful, and responsive. Unit was as described and would give higher rating but unfortunately the sofa bed mattress was really uncomfortable for my son. Also, unit was not thoroughly cleaned very well before we arrived.
The room was clean and suited our simple needs; however, the upper rental controlled our heat, so we were at their mercy. I’m not sure this was intentional, but when the upper rental was empty, we had no heat from the registers and could regulate the temperature in our apartment with an electric fireplace. As soon as the family upstairs arrived, our room was very warm.
Clean property nestled deep into a neighborhood. It was conveniently located for exploring Yosemite. It was warm during the day without A/C but the host provided a fan. We opened the windows at night and it cooled down nicely. There are a lot of stairs down to get to the property entrance and then you have to walk the stairs back up. Not bad, but thought I would mention that this isn’t a property to stay in for anyone who cannot comfortable climb stairs. It’s would guess it’s about three flights. Property was clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. We don't recommend using the grill until the grates have been replaced. Neighbor had a “No Tourist” sign, but didn’t bother us.

Disappointed
Although the location is great for visiting Yosemite NP. We were disappointed in this property. The dining table & pots/pans were not clean when we arrived; the dishwasher had dirty dishes in it. The smoke detectors were not operating; one removed & the second covered with a bag. Outside porch area was littered. Guest book very dated (10 yr old information).

This is a cute setting but definitely needs some updating and some love to make it what it could be. We experienced challenges with some of the amenities as the bathroom had dry rot, mold and chalking coming off the shower floor plan; some outlets did not work; screens missing from the windows so you could not open the window without bugs coming in; broken screens, cardboard and a refrigerator outside the deck just dumped outside; and overall it just needs some small things done to make it a cute place to stay. One thing you need to know is that it is quite and peaceful but do know you are at the mercy of the people staying on the top floor being polite and not stomping around at all hours which of course the hosts cannot control but it can be an issue. Communication with the host was good and they state they will be making changes but what you pay for is not what you get.
The cabin was roomy and clean with a kitchen, bedroom, living room, plus a balcony and grill. Since it's inside the park it was easy to travel around the park each day.
This one-bedroom rental met our needs while spending a long weekend visiting Yosemite NP. The property is within the gates of the NP so you don’t even need to leave the park. In fact, we would have likely missed the most beautiful viewpoint of Tunnel View if we hadn’t been navigating to the rental. Access to glacier point is minutes away from the house. There was a spacious kitchen, comfortable bed and decent shower with good water pressure. Not a bad price for the great location but not a luxury stay by any means.
