We had a great stay! The property was very clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a big difference in this heat. It was also very pet-friendly, and our dogs had plenty of space to be comfortable. The host was friendly, responsive, and made check-in and communication easy. Overall, it was a relaxing stay, and I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a clean, welcoming place to stay. I’d be happy to stay here again.

Villa Lago is lovely! The house was clean and simple. There is plenty of storage. Kitchen is well equipped. Unfortunately the back patio is quite small. The picture is deceiving. The mattresses, pillows and furniture cushions are worn. The pillows are like flat pancakes. The golf cart was nice to have. The ignition was spinning and hard to turn on. We did get stuck but I called the rental company and they had it fixed within an hour. Golf carts need to be maintained after every rental! There is plenty of beach chairs and accessories! Overall it was a nice stay but with some easy changes, it will be a 5!

Great home and location. Stayed with 2 fur babies. It was a nice neighborhood location, convenient walk to the bars and restaurants, and many were dog-friendly. Enjoyed the neighborhood pool, which was not heated; the heated community pool was a quick golf cart ride away. The house only has 2 parking spots and had to pay for off-site parking for the 3rd vehicle due to community rules.

Summer Vacation 2024

The property was exactly what we needed to accomdate our family vacation with 3 families. Greta location to beach and crab island. Plus having grocery and shops close by was a bonus. Highly recommend.

Great Space for the Whole Family!

Great space! We could spread out or be together, and the turtles in the backyard were a bonus! We brought our dogs and they were comfortable as well, it was a fantastic experience (not that I have come to expect anything less from Vacation Haven—we are repeat customers) and we look forward to our next vacation!

My family and I absolutely enjoyed our stay at this amazing property! The property as a whole was just so amazing and relaxing. We loved the location of the property, the cleanliness of the property, the great communication, and of course the lovely ride around the neighborhoods on the golf cart. Perfection!

Perfect place to enjoy your vacation! We loved the house, it’s beautiful. The canal running behind the house is a great place to sit in the mornings or evenings. A golf cart is a must in Sandestin so a six seater was perfect. This house could easily accommodate a group of friends or 2 families. We had 6 adults and one child and had plenty of room. We look forward to coming back to our new fav vacation spot!

The grill didn’t work at all while we were there. I spent 300 on food and no way to prepare it. The cookware is all teflon and scratched so bad scared to use it bc of toxic chemicals. Needs thrown away. Patio on main floor and garage both needs swept. Spare bed downstairs smells like urine and couldn’t use it. Rug in same room very stained and dirty. AC didn’t work when arrived bc batteries needed changed in thermostat so only place open was cvs. Spent our to fix so able to sleep that night. We have stayed in a different neighborhood and used a different rental company in the past and didn’t have any of these issues. Definitely way overpriced!

Great Home & Location!

The property we stayed was extremely convenient to all the shops, restaurants, beaches, and Bay Wharf Village. My family of 10 had more than enough space, along with 3 separate full bathrooms. In addition to this, if you are traveling with seniors that have trouble using stairs, a first floor bedroom and full bathroom is available at this home. The home is in a golf course community, and is close to Santa Rosa Beach, Miramar Beach, and Destin. Also, the golf cart was a fun addition during our stay, especially driving it to Bay Wharf Village. I would highly recommend this home for anyone traveling with a large family, and with grandparents.

Villa Lago

Very nice location and community in Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Perfect fit for our group of 8. Very close to all the resort golf courses with the Baytowne course going beside the villas. The 6 seat golf cart was very useful going around the resort and to the beach.(Although the golf cart is starting to show some age). The villa amenities were nice but may need to check or replace the burners on the grill. (Uneven flames). We would consider staying in this location again

Annual girls beach trip

Beautiful home and amenities!!! Great location for the beach, shops, and restaurants. Second time staying in the SanDestin area and we love it! Communication with My Vacation Haven, concerning the missing four man golf cart, was a disappointment. Initial communications with representative Kristen (spelling??) was cordial and informative, but follow-up texts and phone calls with subsequent My Vacation Haven employees were less than satisfactory. Never received a response from a supervisor/management rep, until the day before checkout, when i received a copy of a revised billing statement, reflecting a credit to my account. An apology was never extended to myself and our group.

Great location with some issues

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Several mentioned items from last year weren't fixed this year. Master bathtub temperature doesn't get past warm. Bunk room fan extremely noisy. Living room couch has a massive rip in it; bigger than last year. We also discovered a used vape pen in one of the rooms and the floors were slightly dirty upon arrival as well. Additionally, at the end of the trip we were billed an additional $500 for an already existing golf cart scratch. When I tried to respond to address this matter, as well as make them aware of other issues, I never received a response. The house itself is in a great location and for the most part, if the things above are addressed, would be great. However, we will likely seek a different unit next year.

My vacation haven was not responsive nor helpful in any way.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was okay, not very clean. We had several issues while staying there, my vacation haven was absolutely rude and not helpful. We will not go through My Vacation Haven again. It’s too bad this home uses them as a property manager. As an owner I would not want them to be representing my home. We had several different issues arise while staying, with no help from my vacation haven.

We would definitely rent again!
