Chalet at the Beech was amazing. We had a great time on our Girl's Trip (group of 11). Jeanine was very responsive to the questions that we had. We couldn't have asked for more.
Fantastic location for a weekend away to ski! The house and cottage were clean, the host was extremely responsive, and the amenities were everything we needed to make the weekend perfect. Will be returning next winter!
Family get together trip that was enjoyed by everyone! The location is great, the house is beautiful and the hot tub & firepit were a hit! The house description was correct and any time I had a questions they were answered quickly. Stay at this house, you’ll be pleased!
Cozy Quaint House, lovely running creek, nearby deer everywhere, location was great, near banner elk, boone, blowing rock and valle crucis, lots to do and great places to eat, my mom is 92 and 1st time in a long time all her 4 kid were together

The main negative thing was the outdoor decking should have been freshly pressure washed. Bedrooms were great other than they need better lighting, especially lamps.Matresses and comforters were very cosy and comfortable. There wasn't enough coffee pods (only 9 at check-in) for the Keurig coffee maker, also needed more/better condiments for coffee. One roll of paper towels wasn't enough for a group of (11) but I brought some with me. I learned over the years. It's a great house/chalet is a great setting. Barely enough parking for a house that sleeps 14-16 but I wasn't suprised and understand due to the lay of the land. Wife and I have stayed in a lot of mountain homes/cabins the past 40 years. Creek is awesome! With some attention and tweaking people would be able to check excellent in their reviews. I would stay there again for sure. MH
We had a great stay! The setting is amazing, right next to a peaceful creek, and deer even came right up to the door. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and it felt really comfortable and well-stocked. The owner was super responsive and answered our questions right away, which made things easy. Just a heads-up: the trail right outside is under construction right now due to hurricane Helene, but there are plenty of other great spots to walk and explore.
We loved staying here. The fire pit and creek were definite high points. Tge rooms were nice and beds comfortable. The stairs were steep but there were other access points for the first floor. The kitchen had all the things we needed to cook meals for our group but it was small but very nice.
Great location. Beautiful and clean home. Well-stocked. We enjoyed having two homes next to each other so the babies could sleep peacefully in the evenings while the adults gathered in the other home.
We had a great time at this property. The chalet plus cottage were perfect for a large crowd. The inside was roomy and comfortable, but the outdoor features were exceptional; it had everything you would want for a mountain getaway with the amazing decks, fire pit, and hiking trails right off the property. The young and old all had a great time!
These adjoining cabins were tucked away on beautiful Beech Mountain. We had plenty of room for our family- preschool up to grandparents. The property was clean, well lit and stocked with the essentials. Check in was easy, and the owner checked in as we arrived.
Beautiful house and property well provisioned for a good time. Fire pit next to stream and hot tub were popular hangouts. Four generations under one roof with something for everyone.
Thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful babbling brook, the hiking trail that went just behind the back yard, roasting S’mores in the beautiful fire pit. Was great to start the day with an amazing coffee bar. Kudos to the cleaning crew for a spotless house!
The home was very nice. I loved the creek that you could hear from the porch. Nice fire pit. We saw tame deer out back at least twice a day. Very beautiful
My family is spread out across GA, KY, & DC and this roomy comfortable well appointed mountain chalet was central to all of us. It was a perfect spot for our mountain getaway/reunion. There were activities around the area to suit anll anges of our group and the separate unit allowed the preschoolers to nap quietly and go to bed earlier without the rest of us trying to stay quiet enough not to wake them. If you like to cook, just know the kitchen is tight, but you can make it work.
We had 17 people - 8 adults and 9 kids - in the house. The kids enjoyed playing in the creek most and the adults enjoyed sitting around the fire pit outside most. It's a pretty area!
Lovely home and property. Having the hiking trail and creek so close was enjoyable. Fantastic decks for gathering. Small indoor gathering space, narrow stairwells, and narrow one-way kitchen. Good to be aware of so as to plan. We made many wonderful memories and had great visit.
This house was in a great location and had plenty of room for our big group. We loved the decor, and the beds were all super comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The owner was easy to reach and tended to whatever needs we had.
The only issue we had was the basement bathroom... past water damage made using that bathroom an issue, so we had to avoid it unless absolutely necessary.
All in all, our stay was wonderful and our family made lots of memories.
This rental was wonderful! A group of 20 of us, ranging in family ages 2years old and 60 had a great time! We had everything we needed, enjoyed every bit of the property and were perfectly content when we were snowed in! Plenty of fire wood, games, sleds to use, etc. this is an older property, so if someone is picky about updates, the bathrooms have not been updated in quite sometime and are smaller. But it was perfect for our family!
Family vacation and had a wonderful time. Host was VERY responsive to texts/emails. Property was as described with easy access to Upper Pond Creek Trail adjacent to back yard. Dining was a short drive away and very convenient to the location.
Had a snafu after we left that Host resolved quickly and easily to get my problem fixed, even though it was my own fault 100%. (left an empty suitcase behind, Host helped to get it to a friend of mine who lives locally to the property).
